Description

Waren, die auf Paletten transportiert werden, sind entweder großvolumige oder zu großen Einheiten Zusammengefaßte Waren. Sie sind üblicherweise auf den Paletten durch verschiedenartige Verankerungen fixiert.
In vielen Fällen, insbesondere bei empfindlichen Waren, ist eine Schutzverpackung notwendig, die die Ware gegen Feuchtigkeitsverlust, Witterungseinflüsse oder mechanische Beanspruchungen schützt.
Ein Beispiel ist die Verpackung von Papier-Großrollen. Fotografische Trägermaterialien auf Papierbasis werden heute meistens hochkant stehend auf Paletten transportiert. Als letzte Stufe der Verpackung wird die Rolle mit einer Schrumpffolie umhüllt. Der ganze Verbund der Verpackung ist so aufgebaut, daß die Papierrollen stoßgeschützt und wasserdampf- und staubdicht verpackt sind. Kunststoffolien, insbesondere Schrumpffolien, haben sich in der Verpackungsindustrie bewährt.
Beim Auspacken der Waren landen die Kunststoffolien allerdings im Müll oder müssen beispielsweise durch Verbrennung entsorgt werden. Aus Gründen des Umweltschutzes, aber auch aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen sind deshalb langlebige Mehrwegverpackungen anzustreben.
Aus der DE-U-8 801 345 ist eine Verpackungseinheit für den Palettentransport von Waren aus einer Palette und einer Haube zur Abdeckung der auf der Palette befindlichen Ware bekannt, wobei die Haube einen seitlichen, zerstörungsfrei zu öffnenden Verschluß besitzt. Nachteilig an der bekannten Schutzvorrichtung ist allerdings, daß die Ware gegen Eindringen von Luftfeuchtigkeit oder gegen Feuchtigkeitsverlust nicht geschützt ist. Die bekannte Schutzvorrichtung wird nicht an der Palette befestigt, bildet mit dieser also keine dicht verschlossene Einheit.
Es ist daher Aufgabe der Erfindung, eine Verpackungseinheit für den Palettentransport von Waren zur Verfügung zu stellen, die eine langlebige Mehrwegverpackung ist, ohne einen Verlust an Schutzeigenschaften in Kauf nehmen zu müssen.
Gelöst wird die Aufgabe durch eine Verpackungseinheit aus einer Palette und einer Haube zur Abdeckung der auf der Palette befindlichen Ware, wobei die Haube einen seitlichen, zerstörungsfrei zu öffnenden Verschluß besitzt und die Außenkante einer Palettenplatte sowie der untere Innensaum der Haube miteinander verschließbar ausgebildet sind.
Die neue Verpackungseinheit ermöglicht eine schnelle und problemlose Verpackung und ist wiederverwendbar. Erst Zerstörung oder grobe Beschädigung führt zur Unbrauchbarkeit. Geringe Beschädigungen lassen sich relativ einfach ausbessern, beispielsweise durch überkleben von Rissen: Die Form der Haube ist der zu verpackenden Ware angepaßt, so daß jede Ware, die bisher auf Paletten transportiert wurde und eine besondere Schutzverpackung benötigte, sich auch in dieser neuen Verpackungseinheit transportieren läßt. Beispiele sind Elektrogräte (Kühlschrank, Herd, Waschmaschine), Möbelstücke (Sitzmöbel, Schränke, Tische), Papierformatware, zu Rollen aufgewickeltes bahnförmiges Material.
Als Haubenmaterial werden Textilgewebe, Vliese, Kunststoffolien in beschichtetem und unbeschichtetem Zustand verwendet. Als Beschichtungsmaterial können Polyolefine, Polyvinylverbindungen, Polyester, Polyamide, Latex sowie deren Copolymere dienen.
Als besonders gut geeignetes Verschlußsystem hat sich der Klettverschluß erwiesen, da er langlebig ist und ein schnelles öffnen und Schließen ermöglicht. Grundsätzlich geeignet sind aber auch Reißverschlüsse, Druckknöpfe, Haftklebestreifen und Bänder.
Geeignet für die Verbindung von Palettenplatte und Haube ist ferner ein Gummizug.
Die Paletten können aus Holz oder Kunststoff bestehen, auch aus Kombination beider Materialien. Geeignet sind auch Metallpaletten, obwohl sie sich auf dem Markt nicht so gut durchgesetzt haben. Die Form der Palette ist vorzugsweise durch überstände so gestaltet, daß bei ihrer Aneinanderreihung die Haube keinen Stoßbeanspruchungen unterliegt.
Eine kreisförmig ausgebildete Verpackungseinheit (Haube und Palette) ist besonders bevorzugt. Sie dient der Verpackung von zu Rollen aufgewickeltem bahnförmigem Material, wie fotografischem Trägermaterial.
Um den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt dieses Materials konstant zu halten, sind Haube und Palette wasserdampfdicht ausgerüstet. Besonders gut bewährt hat sich für die Haube ein 85 g/m2 schweres Polyestergewebe, das mit 195 g/m2 Polyvinylchlorid beschichtet ist, und für die Palette eine Polsterplatte aus Polyurethan.
Die Abbildung soll als Beispiel eine bevorzugte Verpackungseinheit verdeutlichen. Sie zeigt die geöffnete Haube 1 mit Klettverschluß 5a,b für eine Papierrolle 2. Zwei mögliche Paletten 3 mit Klettverschluß 5b an der die Ware tragenden Palettenplatte 6 und Überstand 7 sind skizziert.
Die Rolle wird auf der Palette durch den Zapfen 8 gehalten, der in die Hülse 9 der Papierrolle hineinragt. Die Palette 3 kann mit einer Polsterplatte 10 ausgestattet werden, welche gleichzeitig als Wasserdampfsperre dient, 4 zeigt das Endprodukt nach Verpackung.

Claims (7)

  1. Verpackungseinheit für den Palettentransport von Waren aus einer Palette (3) und einer Haube (1) zur Abdeckung der auf der Palette befindlichen Ware, wobei die Haube einen seitlichen, zerstörungsfrei zu öffnenden Verschluß (5a) besitzt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Außenkante einer Palettenplatte (6) sowie der untere Innensaum der Haube miteinander verschließbar ausgebildet sind (5b).
  2. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Haube (1) und Palette (3) kreisförmig ausgebildet sind.
  3. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Verschlüsse (5) Klettverschlüsse sind.
  4. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Material der Haube (1) wasserdampfdicht ist.
  5. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Material der Haube (1) ein Polyestergewebe mit Polyvinylchlorid-Beschichtung ist.
  6. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Material der die Ware tragenden Palettenplatte (6) verleimtes Schichtholz ist, auf dem eine wasserdampfdichte Polyurethan-Polsterplatte (10) angeordnet ist.
  7. Verpackungseinheit nach Anspruch 1, 2 und 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die die Ware tragende Palettenplatte (6) mit dem Verschluß (5b) einen geringeren Durchmesser besitzt als die Palette (3).
