Claims (11)
- Verfahren zum Verschließen von aufrecht stehenden Dosen mit einem Falzdeckel (5) unter Vermindern von Falzdeckel-Verschlußmaschinen-Ausfallzeiten, bei dem ein nach radial außen ragender Bördelrand (2,2a) eines federnd nachgiebig gestützten (13,13c) Dosenrumpfes (1) von einer radial bewegten Verschließrolle (15) eine nach abwärts gerichtete Verformungskomponente erhält, wenn der Bördelrand (2a) in axialer Richtung (12) höher liegt, als er liegen würde, wenn in dem Dosenrumpf (1) der zugehörige Falzdeckel (5) eingesetzt wäre.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem der Bördelrand (2,2a) auch dann eine abwärts gerichtete Verformungskomponente erhält, wenn für den Verschließvorgang kein Falzdeckel (5) zugeführt wurde und das äußere Ende des Bördelrandes (2a) oberhalb einer Profilnut (16) der Verschließrolle (15) liegt.
- Werkzeug zum Verschließen von aufrecht stehenden Dosenrümpfen (1) mit Falzdeckeln (5) gemäß Anspruch 1,(a) mit einem Verschließkopf (8;10,9) und einem relativ zu diesem auf und ab bewegbaren, in Bewegungsrichtung federnd (13c) nachgiebigen Stützteil (13) für einen aufrecht stehenden Dosenrumpf (1) und mit zumindest einer gegenüber der Verschließkopfachse radial verstellbaren (20) Verschließrolle (15), die eine zum Verschließkopf (8) hin offene Profilnut (16) aufweist, deren obere Begrenzungsflanke (17) über einen ersten Übergangsbereich in einen oberen Rollenabschnitt (18) übergeht, dessen Durchmesser deutlich größer als der des Nutgrundes der Profilnut (16) ist, wobei(aa) der obere Rollenabschnitt (18) so ausgebildet ist, um beim radialen Verstellen der Rolle (15) in eine ringförmige Hinterschneidung (21,22) an der Oberseite des Verschließkopfes (8) einzugreifen;(bb) der Verschließkopf (8) an seiner Unterseite eine zentrale Ausnehmung (11,11a) zur Aufnahme einer Aufreißeinrichtung des Deckels (5) aufweist, die zusammen mit der Hinterschneidung (21,22) am Verschließkopf (8) eine umfängliche, an der Kernwand (6) des Deckels (5) angreifende Verschließkopflippe (9,9a) begrenzt,(b) zur Bildung einer ringförmigen Auflauffläche im Querschnitt gesehen der erste Übergangsbereich (17a) der Verschließrolle (15) eine Konturlinie (30,31) aufweist, die von einem Punkt in der Nähe der oberen Begrenzungsflanke (17) der Profilnut (16) ausgehend in Richtung radial zur Verschließkopfachse (12) hin und axial nach oben ansteigend verläuft, wobei die Konturlinie (30;31;40a,40b,40c,40d) sich in axialer Richtung in einem Ausmaß erstreckt, das mindestens gleich dem axialen Federungsweg (26) des Stützteils (13) ist.
- Werkzeug nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Konturlinie (30,31) der Verschließrolle (15) - über ihre Ausdehnung gemittelt - gegenüber der zur Achse (12) senkrecht verlaufenden Ebene einen mittleren Neigungswinkel (34) unter etwa 60°, vorzugsweise 45°, aufweist.
- Werkzeug nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die im Querschnitt gesehene Konturlinie (30,31) eine Kegelfläche oder eine unregelmäßig profilierte Fläche als Auflauffläche an der Verschließrolle (15) definiert.
- Werkzeug nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 5, gekennzeichnet durch seine Verwendung bei Verschließmaschinen, bei denen die Dosen während des Verschließvorganges rotierend antreibbar sind oder feststehend axial ohne Drehbewegung eingeschoben werden.
- Werkzeug nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 5, gekennzeichnet durch seine Verwendung bei Verschließmaschinen ohne Abstreifer oberhalb der Verschließkopflippe (9,9a).
- Werkzeug nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der obere Rollenabschnitt (18) oberhalb der Profilnut (16) einen Durchmesser für eine Abstreiferfunktion dieses Bereichs aufweist.
- Verwendung des Werkzeuges nach einem der vorigen Ansprüche 3 bis 8, als Ersatz für ein vorhandenes Verschließwerkzeug mit Abstreifer in vorhandenen Verschließmaschinen.
- Werkzeug nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Hinterschneidung (21,22) radial innen und axial unten verstärkend in einem zweiten Übergangsbereich aufgefüllt ist (35), insbesondere entsprechende der Konturlinie (30,31) der Auflauffläche des ersten Übergangsbereichs (17a) der Verschließrolle (15).
- Werkzeug nach Anspruch 10, bei dem die Auffüllung (35) des zweiten Übergangsbereichs eine Kegelfläche oder eine unregelmäßig profilierte Fläche als Oberfläche hat.
