- the invention relates to a method for sending Printed matter to a shipping point where the printed matter packed in a packaging facility and to the shipping location be transported, packing by placing the printed matter on one of them Format-adapted storage space on the bottom of essentially rigid containers.
- US - A - 3,491,681 is a container for holding and Bundle of newspapers and the like.
- the side walls and Have groove-like recesses on the inside, the recesses on the side walls from top to bottom below and across the bottom of the container that is on the opposite Extend connecting recess extending sidewall, which recesses for inserting a longer one Cord provided for tying the bundles formed from newspapers are.
- a so-called "Stacker” can be used to form stacks.
- the so educated Printed product stacks are then usually included tied together in a bundle.
- Lacing uses a plastic film enveloping the bundle.
- this task is with solved a method of the type mentioned at the beginning, that the shelf on the floor an essential lateral shift of the stored printed products with starting from the side edges of the shelf Prevents side parts of the container and that the transport takes place in these containers from which the Printed products are taken at the shipping point, after which the containers are returned to the packaging facility.
- an essential lateral shift of the stored printed products preventing side parts can also be damage-free Loading and unloading of those packed in the containers Printed matter on or from transport vehicles as well as reducing the risk of damage during during transportation.
- damage to the use of the essentially rigid containers of printed matter due to unintended effects prevented from the outside, while by the format of the Printed products adapted arrangement of the side parts of the Damage to the printed products caused by the container lateral displacements within the container are reliable is prevented.
- the latter effect can be adjusted the storage area to the format of a single printed product, but also by adapting the shelf the format of several adjacent printed products can be achieved.
- the containers for the return transport to the packaging facility stacked one inside the other. This can increase the transport capacity of the vehicles used for the return transport better be exploited what the environmental impact of the process further increased.
- the speed of the method according to the invention can be further increased if the printed products are Pack in the containers directly from the exit of one of their manufacture serving processing device, for example a inserting machine or a saddle stitcher, in one regular formation, especially as a shingled stream a substantially vertical feed chute Packing device are transferred through them individually or in a selectable number of printed matter formed stacks in one of the provided below Container.
