Description

The present invention relates to a concrete mixer cover intended for protection of the electric motor. This cover is provided completely waterproof water and guarantees perfect ventilation of the engine.

There are known hoods of this kind which generally include several engine ventilation openings, but they are not waterproof with pressurized water used for cleaning the concrete mixer. Sealing is achieved by means of a seal which is placed between the cover and the cover to prevent the penetration of water from rain.

In most cases, electric motors are not protected against against pressurized water, which makes the device dangerous for the user. Indeed, during the cleaning of the concrete mixer, the water penetrating inside the hood may cause a short circuit. In addition, the ventilation engine does not cool well, so said motor heats up.

Ce dispositif n'est pas complètement étanche.DE-U-90 17 331 discloses a cover for a concrete mixer in which a baffle side is intended for air intake while an exhaust channel substantially vertical is expected. This device is not completely waterproof.

It is to these drawbacks that the present invention.

The cover according to the present invention aims to be completely watertight from outside, while providing ventilation motor maximum.

The concrete mixer cover includes in its lower part a pipe waterproof in the form of a baffle which leads to the electric motor and in its upper part of the conduits which are connected to the outside through a double waterproof baffle, so as to create a substantially vertical ventilation to cool the engine.

In addition, the cover comprises two vertical and parallel walls joined together. by front and rear faces, a bottom secured to the rear face while its free edge has a vertical cheek which determines with the front face a free space, a gutter shaped in the part bottom of the front panel to come and surround the vertical cheek so to form a baffle-shaped pipe, a first cover sliding mounted inside the walls comprising an air duct, a second cover which covers the first to form another waterproof duct and a double baffle formed by a vertical wall secured to the front face into which the conduits open.

  • Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing a concrete mixer provided with a cover according to the present invention.
  • Fig. 2 is a section illustrating the watertight cover and the engine ventilation ducts.
  • Fig. 3 is a section along III-III (fig. 2) showing the first and second cover covers.
There is shown in fig. 1 and 2 a concrete mixer 1 comprising a tank 2 articulated on a chassis 5 and driven in rotation through an electric motor 3 which is protected by a waterproof cover 4.

The sealed cover 4 has two vertical and parallel walls 4 a and 4 b which are joined together by means of a front face 4 c and a rear face 4 d . The side walls 4 a and 4 b and the rear face 4 d are integral with a horizontal bottom 4 e , the free edge of which is provided with a vertical cheek 4 f forming with the front face 4 c a free space.

The vertical walls 4 a and 4 b have in their upper part an edge 4 r returned inside the cover to form a slide, the function of which will be seen more clearly below.

The vertical walls 4 a and 4 b are provided with a device for supporting the electric motor 3, while the rear face 4 d is fixed to one of the vertical uprights 5 a of the chassis 5.

The front face 4 c is shaped in its lower part to present a gutter 4 g in the shape of a U, each of the free ends of which is integral with the vertical walls 4 a and 4 b . The gutter 4 g is provided to surround the vertical cheek 4 f at a certain distance from the latter.

Indeed, one of the vertical branches of the gutter 4 g stops at a certain distance from the bottom 4 e to determine a channel in the form of a baffle so that the fresh air can penetrate inside the cover 4 (arrow F1). The bottom of the 4 g gutter is pierced with a 4 h evacuation hole for the evacuation of water, as we will see better below.

La double chicane 4y est prévue étanche et complètement isolée de l'espace interne du capot 4 dans lequel est fixé le moteur électrique 3.The front face 4 c is pierced in its upper part with an opening 4 i elongated horizontally which opens into a free space delimited by a vertical wall 4 j secured to said face 4 c so as to conform a double baffle 4 y . The vertical wall 4 j is disposed inside the cover 4 parallel to the front face 4 c and comprises in its upper part the inclined face 4 k directed in the direction of said face to delimit the opening of the double baffle 4 y . Inside the double baffle 4 there are attached to the wall 4 j and the front face 4 g of the deflectors 4 u . 4 the double baffle is provided sealed and completely isolated from the interior of the cover 4 in which is fixed the electric motor 3.

The cover 4 has two covers 4 l and 4 m which make the inside of the cover completely sealed. The first cover 4 l consists of two parallel and superimposed plates 4 n , 4 p of different length which delimit a duct 4 g which communicates on the one hand with the internal space of the cover and on the other hand with the double baffle 4 y for the evacuation of the hot air produced by the electric motor 3 (arrow F2). The free edges 4 z of the first cover 4 l and more particularly those of the plate 4 n are returned inside the cover 4 to cooperate with the slides 4 r of each of the walls 4 a , 4 b to make a tight connection to waters. Indeed, the first cover 4 l slides inside the slides 4 r so that the plate 4 n abuts against the rear face 4 d , while the opposite edge and perpendicular to the walls 4 a , 4 b of the another plate 4 p comes to bear on the inclined face 4 k of the vertical wall 4 j , just before the opening of the double baffle 4 y .

The second cover 4 m has a continuous edge 4 s which covers the vertical walls 4 a and 4 b and the faces 4 c and 4 d . The superimposition of the two covers 4 l and 4 m makes it possible to constitute with the plate 4 n a second pipe 4 t for the evacuation of the water coming from the outside.

En effet, le bord perpendiculaire aux parois 4a, 4b de la plaque 4m se trouvant à l'opposé de celui prenant appui contre la face arrière 4d vient s'arrêter juste au-dessus de celui de la plaque 4p, de manière que le conduit 4t débouche à l'intérieur de la double chicane 4y.Indeed, the edge perpendicular to the walls 4 a , 4 b of the 4 m plate being opposite to that which bears against the rear face 4 d comes to stop just above that of the 4 p plate, so that the conduit 4 t opens out inside the double baffle 4 y .

The rear face 4 d is fixed in its upper part to the upright 5 a of the chassis 5 by means of a sealed spacer 6. The latter allows the guiding of the drive shaft of a pulley 7, the free end is integral with a pinion 8 which meshes with a ring gear known per se, fixed to the tank 2.

The spacer 6 is welded in the upper part of the upright 5 a and has a shoulder 6 a which cooperates with an opening in the rear face 4 d . The rear face 4 d is fixed to the spacer 6 by means of an O-ring 6 b with a diameter slightly smaller than that of the shoulder 6 a . A washer 6 c comes to bear on the seal 6 b by means of a circlip 6 d which ensures its compression between the rear face 4 d and the washer 6 c .

It is noted that the structure of the cover 4 allows ventilation of the motor 3 by a substantially vertical displacement of air, that is to say that the fresh air enters along the arrow F1 to escape into the upper part by l 'through the conduit 4 g of the first cover 4 l according to arrow F2. Thus, the fresh air circulates in the baffle formed by the bottom 4 e , the cheek 4 f and the gutter 4 g of the front face 4 c , this fresh air is sucked in by the fan 3 a of the motor 3 to come to cool it. . The hot air is evacuated through the duct 4 g and the double baffle 4 formed there by the front face 4 l and the wall 4 j to open outside the cover 4 via the opening 4 i .

Note that the upper and lower baffles are completely sealed against rainwater and cleaning water which is sprayed under pressure. In fact, when pressurized water is directed towards the opening of the lower baffle, that is to say between the bottom 4 e and the gutter 4 g , the latter constitutes a receptacle which forms a reserve of water. This reserve prevents splashes from entering the interior and coming into contact with the motor 3. The 4- hour hole in the bottom of the gutter 4 g allows the drainage of retained water. The diameter of the hole 4 h is provided so that the flow rate of the evacuated water is lower than that injected.

Ensuite, l'eau retenue à l'intérieur de la double chicane 4y est évacuée par l'ouverture 4i.When water is sprayed under the hood 4 m , it is directed through the conduit 4 t into the double baffle 4 y for its evacuation through the opening 4 i . Similarly, when water is directed towards the opening 4 i, baffles 4 u of the double baffle 4 y prevent the rise thereof in the conduit 4 g. Then, the water retained within the double baffle 4 is removed through the opening 4 i.

The gutter 4 g constitutes a sort of siphon to retain the cleaning water sent under pressure in order to prevent the splashes from going back up inside the cover 4.

Finally, the mounting structure of the two covers 4 l and 4 m on the vertical walls 4 a and 4 b prevents the projected water from entering the inside of the cover 4. In fact, the turned edges 4 z of the cover 4 l allow, by cooperating with the slides 4 r , to retain the splashing of the water sent under pressure.

The structure of the cover 4 described above allows the use of a motor 3 without protection, since it is completely protected from water either rain or cleaning.

It can thus be seen that the ventilation ducts allow at the same time the evacuation of cleaning or rain water to protect the engine electric 3.

Concrete mixer hood intended to protect the electric drive motor, characterized in that it comprises at its lower part a sealed passage in the form of a chicane which opens to the electric motor (3), and in its upper part superimposed ducts (4g and 4t), one (4g) of which is in communication with the interior space of the hood, and the other (4t) of which is able to receive water coming from the outside, the said two ducts being connected to the outside by means of a leaktight double chicane (4y) so as to create a more or less vertical draft for cooling the said motor.
    2. Hood according to Claim 1, characterized in that it comprises two vertical and parallel walls (4a, 4b) joined together by front and rear faces (4c and 4d), a bottom (4e) secured to the rear face (4d) while its free edge has a vertical cheek (4f) which, with the front face (4c) defines an empty space, a gutter (4g) shaped into the lower part of the front face (4c) for wrapping round the vertical cheek (4f) so as to form a chicane-shaped passage, a first lid (4l) mounted to slide inside the walls (4a, 4b) comprising a ventilation duct (4g), a second lid (4m) which covers the first (4l) to form another leaktight duct (4t) and a double chicane (4y) consisting of a vertical wall (4j) secured to the front face (4c) into which the ducts (4g and 4t) open.
    3. Hood according to Claim 2, characterized in that the rear face (4d) is secured to a vertical upright (5a) of the chassis (5) by means of a spacer piece (6) on which there is an O-ring seal (6b) which is compressed by a washer (6c) and a circlip (6d) so that the attachment is sealed against outside water.
    4. Hood according to Claim 2, characterized in that the vertical walls (4a and 4b) comprise, at their upper parts, edges (4r) turned towards the inside of the hood (4) to form slideways in which the edges (4z) of the first lid (4l) slide, so as to form a connection which is sealed against outside water.
    5. Hood according to Claim 2, characterized in that the lid (4l) comprises two superimposed and parallel plates (4m, 4p) of different lengths for delimiting the ventilation duct (4g).
    6. Hood according to Claim 5, characterized in that one of the edges which are free and perpendicular to the walls (4a, 4b) of the plate (4p) bears against an inclined plane (4k) secured to the vertical wall (4j).
    7. Hood according to Claim 5, characterized in that one of the edges which are free and perpendicular to the walls (4a, 4b) of the plate (4n) is in abutment against the rear face (4d), whereas the opposite edge stops just above that of the plate (4p) in the region of the inclined plane (4k).
    8. Hood according to Claim 1, characterized in that the double chicane (4y) comprises horizontal deflectors (4u) secured to the face (4c) and to the wall (4j).
    9. Hood according to Claim 5, characterized in that the bottom of the gutter (4g) is pierced with a hole (4h) for removing the water.
