Claims (7)

Headlamp, notably for a motor vehicle, of the type comprising a housing defining with a glass an essentially closed internal space and a light source placed in the internal space, and at least one device for ventilating the said internal space provided in association with the housing; the ventilation device comprising a first part (110) projecting outside the housing, which defines conjointly with a plug (130) mounted on its free end a first channel (C1) and a second channel (C3) communicating with each other at a bend situated in the region of the said free end, characterised in that it also comprises a second part (120) projecting inside the housing, which defines a third channel (C2) extending the second channel, the second channel (C3) opening out essentially downwards to atmosphere whilst the third channel (C2) opens out upwards on the said internal space at a distance from the first part (110) of the ventilation device.
  2. Headlamp according to Claim 1, characterised in that the said projecting parts are fixed to a wall (100) of the headlamp housing and are positioned so that the first and third channels (C1, C2) are essentially aligned and communicate through an opening (101) formed in the said wall.
  3. Headlamp according to one of Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the second channel (C3) communicates with the atmosphere through a slot (111) extending longitudinally in the lower region of the said first projecting part.
  4. Headlamp according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the third channel (C2) communicates with the internal space through an opening (121) extending in the upper region of the said second projecting part and situated in the vicinity of an end wall (123) of the latter.
  5. Headlamp according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the first projecting part (110) accomodates a partition (112) separating the two channels (C1, C3) which are defined therein and extending to a certain distance from the plug (130).
  6. Headlamp according to Claim 5, characterised in that the second channel is defined at least partially between the partition (112) and a part of a skirt (132) on the plug.
  7. Headlamp according to Claim 2, characterised in that at least part of the essentially aligned first and third channels (C1, C2) has at its base a slope descending in the direction of the outside.
