Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Kohlebürste, die mit einem Imprägniermittel imprägniert ist, insbesondere Kohlebürste für stark beanspruchte Werkzeuge. Ferner bezieht sich die Erfindung auf ein Verfahren zum Imprägnieren einer Kohlebürste oder eines Kohleriegels.
Aus der US 949,988 ist eine imprägnierte Kohlebürste für elektrische Maschinen mit einem Imprägniermittel, das Fett, Wachs oder Öl als Schmiermittel enthält, bekannt. Die Imprägniermittel sind bei Normaltemperatur entweder flüssig oder fest und werden in einem Imprägnierbad, in dem die Kohlebürste imprägniert wird, auf eine Temperatur gleich oder über dem Schmelzpunkt des Schmiermittels gebracht. Wird z.B. Petroleumgelee als Imprägniermittel benutzt, wird die Imprägniertemperatur auf ungefähr 100 °C eingestellt. Nach dem Imprägniervorgang wird die Kohlebürste bei einer Temperatur nachbehandelt, die wenigstens so hoch ist wie die maximale Betriebstemperatur.
Nach den DE-AS 1 200 935, DE-AS 1 171 982, DE-OS 1 638 281 und DE-OS 1 638 285 können Kohlebürsten mit Estern imprägniert werden. Auch besteht die Möglichkeit, ein Gemisch von Polyoxidalkendiolen und deren Estern einerseits und aliphatischer Carbonsäure mit 8 bis 25 Kohlestoffatomen und Salze dieser Säure andererseits als Imprägniermittel zu verwenden (US 2,425,046).
In der DE 26 09 834 C3 wird eine imprägnierte Kohlebürste beschrieben, die als Imprägniermittel ein nichtschmelzendes Fett, ein nichtschmelzendes Wachs oder ein nichtfließendes Öl enthält, wobei das Fett, Wachs oder Öl des Imprägniermittels mit einem Geliermittel aus Montmorillonitschuppen, deren Oberflächen mit langkettigen Kohlenwasserstoffen überzogen sind, innig vermischt und dadurch in den nichtschmelzenden bzw. nichtfließenden, härteren und abriebfesten Zustand übergeführt ist. Das Imprägnieren erfolgt nach der Vakuum-Druck-Methode.
Imprägnierte Kohlebürsten nach der DE 26 09 834 C3 haben sich überaus bewährt und zeigen in ihrem Einsatz Vorteile in bezug auf gute Kommutierung, geringere Funkenstörung, hohe Lebensdauer und Einsatzmöglichkeit bei hoher Leistung. Wünschenswert wäre es jedoch, wenn weitere Vorteile in bezug auf den Bürstenverschleiß, Kollektorverschleiß oder die beim Betrieb auftretenden Kollektortemperatur bzw. die Laufdauer der Maschine gegeben wären, insbesondere dann, wenn ein Einsatz in Maschinen mit temperaturempfindlichen Kommutatoren, die asbestfrei sind, erfolgt.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt das Problem zugrunde, eine Kohlebürste bzw. ein Verfahren zum Imprägnieren einer soichen der zuvor beschriebenen Art so weiterzubilden, daß weitere Verbesserungen des mechanischen Laufverhaltens der Kohlebürste erzielbar sind und insbesondere ein unproblematischer Einsatz bei asbestfreien Kommutatoren möglich ist. Auch soll eine noch verbesserte Funkenentstörung sowie Temperaturbeständigkeit erzielt werden können. Beim Imprägnieren selbst soll ein Lösungsmittel nicht zum Einsatz gelangen. Auch soll das Imprägniermittel umweltverträglich sein.
Das Problem wird bei einer Kohlebürste dadurch gelöst, daß die Kohlebürste mit einem Gemisch aus Esteröl und einem synthetischen Kohlenwasserstofföl imprägniert ist.
Vorzugsweise kann es sich bei dem Esteröl um ein synthetisches Esteröl wie Carbonsäureester bzw. Dicarbonsäureester handeln.
Insbesondere ist die Kohlebürste mit einem Esteröl imprägniert, das bei 100 °C eine kinematische Viskosität von in etwa 14 mm2/s und bei 40 °C eine kinematische Viskosität von in etwa 63 mm2/s hat. Das Esteröl sollte ferner bei 20 °C eine Dichte von in etwa 0,92 g/m3 haben.
Kommen entsprechende erfindungsgemäß imprägnierte Kohlebürsten zum Einsatz, so konnte überraschenderweise eine wesentliche Absenkung der Kommutatortemperatur und eine Erhöhung der Lebensdauer sowie eine deutliche Reduzierung des Kommutatorangriffs festgestellt werden. Somit sind entsprechende Kohlebürsten insbesondere für einen Einsatz in Maschinen geeignet, die asbestfreie Kommutatoren aufweisen.
Eine Verringerung des Bürsten-Kollektorverschleißes sowie eine Verringerung der Kollektortemperatur konnte insbesondere dann erreicht werden, wenn das Imprägniermittel der Kohlebürste ungefähr 0,5 bis 15 Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise in etwa 5 Gew. % beträgt.
Verfahrensmäßig wird das Problem dadurch gelöst, daß die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel in einem Gemisch aus Esteröl und einem synthetischen Kohlenwasserstofföl imprägniert wird.
Überraschenderweise hat sich ferner gezeigt, daß das Imprägnieren mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Imprägniermittel nicht nach der Vakuum-Druck-Methode erfolgen muß, sondern daß die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel nur über einen gewissen Zeitraum in das Gemsich aus Esteröl und synthetischem Kohlenwasserstofföl einzutauchen ist. Bevorzugterweise liegt der Zeitraum zwischen 0,5 und 5 Stunden, insbesondere bei 1,5 bis 2,5 Stunden. Anschließend wird die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel abgetropft und sodann vorzugsweise durch Schleudern bei einer Temperatur zwischen 50 und 90 °C, insbesondere in etwa bei 80 'C über einen Zeitraum von in etwa 5 bis 20 min, vorzugsweise von in etwa 10 min getrocknet. Sodann ist die Kohlebürste unmittelbar einsatzbereit bzw. der Kohleriegel konnte unmittelbar zu einer Kohlebürste gewünschter Geometrie bearbeitet werden.
Weitere Einzelheiten, Vorteile und Merkmale der Erfindung ergeben sich nicht nur aus den Ansprüchen, den diesen zu entnehmenden Merkmalen - für sich und/oder in Kombination -, sondern auch aus dem nachfolgend wiedergegebenen Beispiel.
In einen unverdünnten synthetischen Esteröl wird eine Kohlebürste bei Zimmertemperatur über einen Zeitraum von in etwa 2 Stunden getaucht, um anschließend entnommen zu werden und Esteröl abtropfen zu lassen. Sodann wird die Kohlebürste bei einer Temperatur von in etwa 80 °C 10 min trockengeschleudert. Die Kohlebürste war anschließend unmittelbar einsatzbereit. Ein Nachspülen erfolgte nicht.
Eine Überprüfung der Kohlebürste hat gezeigt, daß der Gewichtsanteil des Imprägniermittels in etwa 5 % betrug.
Eine entsprechende Kohlebürste wurde sodann in eine Stichsäge eingebaut, um Laufzeit, Bürstenverschleiß, Kollektorverschleiß, erreichte Laufdauer und Kollektortemperatur zu bestimmen. Die Laufversuche wurden sodann mit einer Kohlebürste verglichen, die mit bekannten Imprägniermitteln imprägniert worden sind. Als Ergebnis konnte festgestellt werden:

Claims (9)

  1. Kohlebürste, die mit einem Imprägniermittel imprägniert ist, insbesondere Kohlebürste für stark beanspruchte Werkzeuge,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Kohlebürste mit einem Gemisch aus Esteröl und einem synthetischen Kohlenwasserstofföl imprägniert ist.
  2. Kohlebürste nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß das Esteröl ein synthetisches Esteröl wie Carbonsäureester oder Dicarbonsäureester ist.
  3. Kohlebürste nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß das Esteröl bei 100 °C eine kinematische Viskosität von in etwa 14 mm2/s und bei 40 °C eine kinematische Viskosität von in etwa 63 mm2/s hat.
  4. Kohlebürste nach Anspruch 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß das synthetische Esteröl bei 20 °C eine Dichte von in etwa 0,92 g/cm3 hat.
  5. Kohlebürste nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die imprägnierte Kohlebürste 0,5 bis 15 Gew.%, vorzugsweise 5 Gew.% Imprägniermittel enthält.
  6. Verfahren zum Imprägnieren einer Kohlebürste oder eines Kohleriegels,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel in einem Gemisch aus Esteröl und einem synthetischen Kohlenwasserstofföl imprägniert wird.
  7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel in das Gemisch aus Esteröl und synthetischem Kohlenwasserstofföl über einen Zeitraum t mit vorzugsweise 0,5 < t < 5 h getaucht, anschließend durch Abtropfen überschüssigen Esteröl entfernt und schließlich bei einer Temperatur T mit vorzugsweise 50 °C < T < 90 °C getrocknet wird.
  8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 7,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Kohlebürste bzw. Kohleriegel über einen Zeitraum mit 15 < t < 20 min, vorzugsweise mit t ≈ 10 min getrocknet wird.
  9. Verfahren nach zumindest einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 8,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß die Kohlebürste bzw. der Kohleriegel während des Trocknens geschleudert wird.
