Definitions

  • the invention relates to a locking cylinder and in particular a locking cylinder with at least one anti-drilling element inserted in its cylinder core.
  • Conventional locking cylinders have a cylinder core which can be rotated about its cylinder axis in a core receiving bore of a housing and which contains a key channel extending in the direction of the cylinder axis and is blocked relative to the housing by a plurality of tumbler elements arranged one behind the other in at least one row along the key channel.
  • the tumbler elements which are usually spring-loaded tumbler pin pairs divided in a tangential plane to the cylinder core, are unlocked by means of a key inserted into the key channel.
  • the holes and pockets provided for receiving the reinforcing elements in the cylinder core weaken the cylinder core so that it can partially tear off during pull-out attempts, with the result that the rest of the core is unprotected.
  • conventional reinforcement elements offer no protection against milling out the entire front end of the cylinder core by means of a milling tool up to the then freely removable reinforcement elements.
  • the above-mentioned object is achieved in that the cylinder core and at least one of the reinforcement elements on the side facing away from the insertion end face have axial projections which at least partially overlap with the contour of the reinforcement element and engage in one another transversely to the cylinder axis.
  • Such a reinforcement element is not only provided by the undercut surfaces of the pocket in the cylinder core held, but also attached to the cylinder core by the hooking means.
  • the hooking means are, seen from the insertion end of the cylinder core, behind the reinforcement element, and are therefore protected by the reinforcement element against attempts at drilling. Even if the cylinder core should tear off in the region of the pocket during a core pulling attempt, the reinforcement elements are still held on the cylinder core by the hooking means. The same applies if the cylinder core is milled from the front end.
  • the reinforcing elements can be pins or the like, which are inserted in bores of the cylinder core which run transversely to the cylinder axis.
  • the pocket provided in the cylinder core is designed as a slot running in the normal axis and the reinforcement element as a reinforcement plate.
  • the reinforcing plate preferably has a circular section shape, in particular such that it comprises an arcuate edge section that is at least approximately congruent with the circumference of the cylinder core and an, for example, straight edge section that extends essentially parallel to the broadside direction of the key channel. Reinforcing plates of this type, like the associated slots forming the pockets, can be easily produced and, even when the locking cylinder is used for a long time, cause only slight wear in the adjacent area of the core receiving bore of the housing.
  • the reinforcement elements are arranged on both sides of the key channel, in particular in pairs, in a common axis-normal plane. At least one pair of the reinforcing elements is preferably towards the front end of the insertion in front of the front end in the insertion direction Arranged tumbler element and preferably the reinforcing elements especially of this pair come close to the broad side of the key channel.
  • the reinforcement elements arranged on both sides of the key channel work the thread of the core pulling screw in a manner known per se before the screw can grip in the cylinder core material.
  • Reinforcement elements specially designed as reinforcement plates of the type explained above are particularly stable, since they can be supported on the core receiving bore on a large part of their outer circumference and have little tendency to deform themselves.
  • the hooking means of the cylinder core on the side facing away from the insertion end of the cylinder core at a distance from the pocket receiving the reinforcement element has a shoulder pointing away from the insertion end and at least partially overlapping with the pocket, while the hooking means of the reinforcement element one Have shoulder part that grips behind the shoulder.
  • the preferably integral with the reinforcing element, i.e. one-piece hooking means and the associated shoulder can run obliquely to the direction of the cylinder axis, which enables comparatively massive hook cross sections.
  • the hook part has a web section which extends in the direction of the cylinder axis and an engagement section which extends from the web section essentially along a plane which is normal to the axis.
  • the recesses to be incorporated in the cylinder core for the reception of such hook parts can be produced comparatively easily.
  • the key channel is along its broad side towards the circumference of the cylinder core eccentrically offset and has a narrow side open to the circumference of the cylinder core.
  • the web portion of the hook part explained above is preferably at least partially arranged in the area of the cylinder core approximately opposite the open narrow side of the key channel .
  • the web section expediently ends flush with the circumference of the cylinder core.
  • the engagement section of the hook part can have a shape corresponding to or different from the reinforcing part.
  • the engagement section can also have the shape of a pin, so that the unit consisting of the reinforcement part and the hook part essentially takes the form of a U-shaped bracket which sits with its legs in axially arranged recesses in the cylinder core, for example bores arranged one behind the other.
  • these cutouts can also be designed as slots and that the two pins can optionally also be connected at both ends to form a closed ring.
  • Both the reinforcement element and the engagement section of the hook part are preferably designed as plates approximately parallel to one another, which engage in slots of the cylinder core that are normal to the axis and spaced apart from one another. Because the engagement element is also designed as a plate, the interlocking effect is increased. Manufacturing is simplified if the two plates are at least on the side remote from the key channel with one another and with the cylinder core have an essentially congruent contour. The protective effect is particularly great if both plates are congruent overall.
  • the reinforcing elements and their hooking means When a core-tightening screw is screwed into the key channel, the reinforcing elements and their hooking means are pushed radially outward against the core-receiving bore of the housing.
  • the core pulling security can be increased if the reinforcing element and / or its hooking means reach up to the circumference of the cylinder core and are provided in the region of the circumference of the cylinder core with at least one cutting edge directed towards the core receiving bore of the housing. During a core pulling test, the cutting edge digs into the housing and grips the core on the housing.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show a lock cylinder with a Housing 1 of the cock profile type, which comprises a cylinder section 3 and a radially projecting web section 5 extending along the cylinder section 3.
  • paired tumbler pins 19 and 21 which lock the cylinder core 11 relative to the housing 1 by a spring 23 Position are biased.
  • the parting plane 25 of each tumbler pin pair 19, 21 extends tangentially to the circumference of the cylinder core 11, whereby the lock cylinder can be unlocked and the cylinder core 11 can be rotated.
  • slots 29 are milled into the cylinder core 11 on both sides of the key channel 13.
  • the slots 29, which run essentially in the same axis-normal plane, extend with their bottoms 31 to close to the broad side of the key channel 13 and form pockets into which reinforcing plates 33 in the form of circular sections are inserted from the radially outside.
  • the reinforcing plates 33 have a circular arc-shaped outer edge 35 which is substantially congruent with the circumference of the cylinder core 11 and an inner edge 37 which runs approximately parallel to the broad side direction of the key channel 13.
  • the mutually facing inner edges 37 of the pair of reinforcing plates form processing edges Destruction of the thread of a core drawing screw, not shown in more detail, screwed into the key channel 13 during a core drawing attempt. Since the reinforcement plates 33 almost completely cover the core cross section, the areas of the core located behind the reinforcement plates 33, as seen from the insertion end 27, are protected from attempts to drill out.
  • the reinforcement plates 33 In order to prevent the reinforcement plates 33, which are only loosely inserted into the slots 29, from being removed when the cylinder core 11 is machined, for example milled off, from the insertion end 27 to the slots 29, the reinforcement plates 33 are applied their, facing away from the insertion end 27 integrally molded hooking means in the form of a hook part 39, which engages in the associated hooking means of the cylinder core 11, here a further slot 41 milled axially normal to the slot 29 in the cylinder core 11. 3a to 3c, the web portion 39 has a web portion 43 which integrally connects an engagement plate 45, which engages in the slot 41 and is parallel to the reinforcement plate 33, to the reinforcement plate 33.
  • the engagement plate 45 engages behind a shoulder 47 formed by the slot 41 and facing away from the insertion end 27.
  • the engagement plate 45 and the reinforcement plate 33 have the same outer contour with an arcuate outer edge adapted to the circumference of the cylinder core 11 and a straight inner edge.
  • the web section 43 merges flush with the outer edge in the form of a circular arc and is arranged eccentrically to the center of the circular arc edge.
  • the web section 43 thus comes to lie in the cylinder core 11 at a location with a comparatively large material cross section, approximately diametrically, the open narrow side edge 49 (FIG. 2) of the key channel 13 arranged eccentrically to the axis of rotation 9 in the cylinder core 11. This one in the The area near the tumbler pins 19, 21 is thus particularly well protected against attempts at drilling.
  • the reinforcing plates 33 including the hook parts 39 are made of hardened steel or hard metal.
  • the circular-arc-shaped outer edges of the reinforcement plate 33 and / or the engagement plate 45 can be chamfered to form cutting edges, as is indicated at 51 in FIG. 1.
  • the engagement plate 45 is connected to the reinforcing plate 33 by the eccentrically arranged web section 43.
  • the reinforcing element thus has a generally U-shaped shape.
  • an additional web section 43a can be provided, so that the reinforcement element corresponding to FIG. 3a generally takes the form of a rectangular ring formed by the reinforcement plate 33, the engagement plate 45 and the two web sections 43 and 43a.
  • the web section can also extend essentially over the entire length of the circular-arc-shaped edge of the reinforcement plate 33 and engagement plate 45.
  • the engagement plate 45 has the same shape and size as the reinforcement plate 33.
  • FIGS. 4a to 4c show a variant of an engagement plate 45c, which has the same inner contour 37c and the arcuate outer edge 35c of the reinforcement plate 33c follows, but is shortened to an area in the vicinity of the web portion 43c.
  • 5a to 5c show a reinforcing plate 33d, the hook part 39d of which instead of a plate-shaped engagement section projecting beyond the web section 43d in the broad side direction of the key channel has only a nose 45d, the cross-sectional dimensions of which correspond to those of the web section 43d.
  • the reinforcement plate 33d can be provided with cutouts for receiving further elements accommodated in the cylinder core 11.
  • additional elements can be, for example, axles of additional locking levers, as are described in EP-P-237 799.
