Definitions
- the invention relates to a fastening of a roof waterproofing membrane or the like, consisting of a holding element and of a fastening means penetrating this and the underlying sealing membrane, which is pivotally and non-positively connected to the retaining element, presses it against the top of the sealing membrane and is anchored in the substructure.
- Sealing membranes in particular sealing membranes made of polyisobutene, polyvinyl chloride, bitumen, polymer bitumen or the like, which are laid on a flat roof, are to be fixed on the substrate by means of mechanical fasteners in order to prevent lifting by wind.
- mechanical fasteners In the central area of a building roof, at least three, in the corner area up to more than ten and in the edge area an intermediate number of fastenings per square meter roof area must be provided.
- the fastenings are usually arranged in the edge region of a roof waterproofing membrane and covered in a sealing manner by the adjacent roof waterproofing membrane, a seam overlap of 10 cm to 12 cm being provided. Seam overlaps represent a significant cost factor, especially for plastic roof waterproofing membranes.
- fastenings are to be distributed approximately evenly over the roof area within an area, narrower roof waterproofing membranes are laid in areas that require a large number of fastenings, i.e. in corner and edge areas, than in the central area of a roof.
- the fastenings are therefore arranged in rows of fastenings running parallel to the edges of a roof sealing membrane.
- the spacing of the fastenings within a row of fastenings can be adapted to the number of fastenings required per square meter. There is a distance of more than 50 cm as well as avoiding a distance of less than 15 cm.
- the dependency on different web widths also means a relatively complicated design in practice.
- Load transfer for roof sealing sheeting mechanically fastened in the covered edge area is structurally unfavorable, since the load transfer is asymmetrical and therefore considerable safety surcharges are required.
- the head of the screw lies approximately in the plane of the roof sealing membrane, so that a relatively large hole must be punched out of the roof sealing membrane in the area of the screw connection.
- the screw provided as a fastener has a hollow shaft, and in the area of the screw thread at the lower end of the fastener the wall of the fastener penetrating in the radial direction is provided so that a sealant can be pressed from the upper end of the fastener through the hollow shaft .
- a seal between the head of the fastening means and the holding element is not provided.
- the object of the present invention is to design a fastening of the type in question in such a way that, with the simplest possible shape and assembly, it enables reliable covering of the hole in the sealing membrane required for the fastener to pass through.
- this object is achieved in that the holding element is overlapped like a hood by a cover element, on the top of which a device for torque transmission is arranged and on the underside of which a coupling which is in longitudinally displaceable engagement with the upper end of the fastening means is formed, which the fastening means only in Area of its upper end position rotatably connected to the cover element, and that the free edge surrounding the holding element of the cover element is tightly connected to the underlying sealing membrane.
- the fastening means preferably a self-drilling screw
- the head of the fastening means is inserted into the coupling on the underside of the cover element.
- the fastening can be applied to the top of the roof sealing sheet with a rotating setting device which engages on the outside of the cover element, the axis of the fastening means being adjusted at right angles to the top of the roof sealing sheet.
- the torque can be transmitted from the setting device to the cover element, for example by means of pins on the setting device and blind holes made in the top of the cover element, or by means of a hexagon socket on the setting device and a hexagonal head in the center of the cover element.
- the fastening means which is connected to the cover element in a rotationally fixed manner, penetrates through the roof sealing membrane and an optionally provided thermal insulation layer of the roof structure to the substructure, which is often a trapezoidal sheet metal structure is executed.
- a drilling screw used as a fastener can penetrate the trapezoidal sheet with its drill tip and then anchor itself with its thread in the substructure. The fastener pulls towards the substructure and presses the holding element against the top of the sealing membrane.
- the cover element no longer follows the further movement of the fastener in the axial direction, so that the fastener leaves the upper end position in the cover element and is no longer rotationally connected to it after a few rotations.
- the coupling of the cover element is advantageously designed as a blind hole, the wall of which, in the same way as the upper end of the fastening means, has a profile suitable for torque transmission.
- the bottom of the blind hole preferably weeps a slot-like depression and the upper end of the fastening means has a blade-shaped attachment which engages in it.
- the wall of the blind hole can be designed as an internal hexagon.
- the coupling can also be designed such that a blade-shaped projection at the bottom of the blind hole of the cover element engages in a slot in the head of the fastening means.
- the fastening means can be pivoted with respect to the plane of the holding element.
- the fastening means has a head with a dome-shaped underside at its upper end and if the opening in the holding element receiving the fastening means is surrounded by a ball socket-shaped depression.
- the mounting of the fastening is facilitated if the holding element is detachably attached to the underside of the cover element connected is.
- the holding element is then snapped into the cover element with the inserted fastening means.
- the holding element disengages from the cover element and is pressed firmly onto the surface of the roof sealing membrane by a further axial movement of the fastening means.
- the cover element is no longer connected to the holding element, so that the sealing of the cover element on the roof sealing membrane is not influenced by forces acting on the holding element.
- the cover element advantageously consists of impact-resistant material.
- the cover element can be connected to the roof waterproofing membrane by gluing or swelling.
- cover element consists completely or at least in the region of its edge resting on the sealing sheet from a material that can be connected to it by friction welding.
- the use of adhesives and sealants can be dispensed with entirely.
- the cover element is rotated further for some time by the setting device, so that heating takes place in the region of the free edge of the cover element, which leads to the homogeneous connection of the cover element to the roof sealing membrane by friction welding.
- the cover element 12 consists of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is provided for a roof sealing membrane made of PVC.
- PVC polyvinyl chloride
- the cover element 12 is widened in the edge area, the material thickness decreasing towards the outside, so that the free edge 18 of the cover element 12 is formed on the underside and slopes upwards towards the outside.
- the cover element 12 has a diameter of 90 mm and a total height of 11 mm.
- a device 20 for Torque transmission is provided, which emerges from the otherwise flat top 21 of the cover member 12.
- the vertical outer surfaces of the device 20 for torque transmission are hexagonal with a wrench size of 17 mm.
- a blind hole 22 is provided in the center thereof, which has a slot-like recess 24 in its bottom, as illustrated in FIG. 2, which shows the center section of the cover element 12 in a longitudinal section rotated by 90 ° with respect to FIG. 1 is.

Description

- Fig. 6 zeigt die Befestigung 10 in montiertem Zustand.
