Definitions
- the invention relates to a temperature-resistant, simple and inexpensive to produce electrical insulating paper based on synthetic resin fibers and polymer fibrils, which act as a binder for the fibers.
- Insulating materials used to date are, for example, resin-impregnated glass fleeces or glass fabrics, flat structures made from special blends with cellulose, films made from polyester or polyamides, and papers made from aromatic polyamides. Although these insulating materials generally have good electrical and usually also good mechanical properties, their production is cost-intensive, so that the electrical machines are not insignificantly more expensive as a result. Some of these papers are very brittle and break especially when subjected to kinking. Papers made from aromatic polyamides are characterized by particularly good temperature resistance, their mechanical properties, in particular the high elastic recovery, are disadvantageous during processing. The permanent glow resistance also leaves something to be desired.
- the invention was therefore based on the object of providing electrical insulation materials which have good mechanical and electrical properties, are temperature-resistant and can be produced at low cost.
- the electrical insulating papers according to the invention are produced by the processes customary in the paper industry.
- the fibrous or pulverulent starting materials are suspended in water and a dispersion with a solids content of preferably 0.1 to 10% by weight is produced.
- This is applied to conventional paper machines, such as Fourdrinier or rotary sieve machines, where it is spread out over a large area and the majority of the water is sucked off.
- the melamine resin fibers are held together by the fibrils, so that the resulting base paper receives sufficient initial wet strength.
- This base paper is then dried at temperatures between 120 and 180 ° C, for example by passing it over heated rollers. It is then pressed at temperatures above 200 ° C.
- any existing synthetic resin powder hardens or melts and causes additional hardening of the paper.
- the paper can also be further solidified by subsequent impregnation with resins, for example with epoxy, melamine, polyester, silicone, phenol, or acrylate resins, and with polyimides. Lacquers based on alkylphenols, imides or silicones can be used.
- Composite materials can also be produced by laminating the electrical insulating paper with foils, for example with polyimide foils.
- a melamine resin is produced in which about 10 mol% of the melamine is replaced by 5-hydroxy-3-oxapentylamino-1,3,5-triazine.
- This melamine resin is spun into fibers with a length of 6 mm, a thickness of 15 ⁇ m and a specific surface area of 0.52 m 2 ⁇ g -1 .
- 70 parts of these melamine resin fibers together with 15 parts of aramid fibrils (Kevlar @ T-979, length of the fibrils in the range from 0.5 to 6 mm; specific surface area of 7.1 m 2 g -1 ) are slurried in water.
- a commercially available melamine / formaldehyde precondensate resin (KAURAMIN® 700 from BASF; characteristics of a 50% strength by weight aqueous solution: viscosity at 20 ° C. immediately: 20-50 mPa.s; viscosity at 20 ° C. after 60 h: 50-80 mPas; pH: 8.8 - 9; density: 1.22 g / cm 3 ) mixed homogeneously.
- the suspension obtained with a solids content of 0.5% is placed in a sheet former and the water is suctioned off.
- the raw paper obtained has an initial wet strength of 120 g and a thickness of 1.5 mm.
- the electrical insulation paper obtained has the following properties: thickness 0.25 mm Dielectric strength (according to DIN 53 481) 35 kVmm -1 Dielectric constant (at 10 3 Hz and 50 ° C) 2.6 Specific volume resistance (according to DIN 53 482) 4.10 16 [ ⁇ ⁇ cm] Tensile strength (according to DIN 53 455) 420 Ncm -1 Elongation at break (according to DIN 53 455) 20% Tear resistance (according to DIN 53 515) 850 N

Description
- A. 15-95 Gew.-% Kunstharzfasern
- B. 5-85 Gew.-% Polymerfibrillen
- C. 0-30 Gew.-% Kunstharzpulver
