Definitions
- the invention relates to a treatment container for an industrial cleaning system for cleaning objects, in particular machined workpieces, by means of a cleaning liquid.
- B. machined engine blocks must be cleaned after their machining to free them of chips and oil or grease-like residues of machining fluids etc.; also need z. B. workpieces to be chromed or otherwise provided with a surface coating prior to cleaning, in particular degreasing.
- These cleaning processes generally take place in the course of a clocked production line, so that the workpieces have to be introduced into and removed from a treatment container in which the cleaning takes place by means of conveying and / or handling devices.
- the workpieces cleaned by means of a cleaning liquid are often also dried again in such a treatment container.
- these treatment containers are often provided with a workpiece carrier, which allows a workpiece to be cleaned and / or dried to be made to rotate in the treatment container or to have a rocking movement carried out.
- a workpiece carrier which allows a workpiece to be cleaned and / or dried to be made to rotate in the treatment container or to have a rocking movement carried out.
- Trough-shaped or trough-shaped treatment containers are widespread, into which a workpiece to be cleaned is lowered from above and from which the workpiece is lifted up again; it is obvious that such treatment containers are extremely inadequate with regard to the requirements listed above.
- cleaning liquids which are hot up to 70 ° C or 80 ° C are generally used (aqueous cleaning liquids containing detergents and other detergent substances) with which the treatment container is filled, so that the parts of a workpiece handling device holding a workpiece have to be immersed in the hot cleaning liquid bath, which is extremely inconvenient for grippers and the like with movable elements.
- DE-A-38 14 014 has already disclosed a treatment container of the type mentioned at the outset, which has an approximately cuboid shape and is horizontally opposed in two opposite side walls has gate-like openings which can be closed by vertically lifting and lowering lifting doors, are located at a vertical distance above the bottom of the container and allow workpieces to be cleaned to be brought into the treatment container via horizontally running rails and workpiece transport trolleys running on them to be subjected to cleaning by hosing off with a cleaning liquid and then to be transported out of the treatment container in the same direction.
- a relatively small drain opening is provided in the bottom of the treatment tank, which is followed by a drain line. Fixed regions of the container side walls adjoin the bottom edges of the two openings which can be closed by lifting doors, and these regions extend downwards to the container bottom which is firmly connected to the front and side walls of the container.
- the invention was based on the object of providing a treatment container of the type mentioned at the outset, which not only allows the workpieces to be introduced into the treatment container easily and quickly and removed from the treatment container, but also to allow used cleaning fluid to be drained quickly and completely from the treatment container Treatment tank.
- a cleaning liquid which has two end walls, two mutually opposite side walls and a bottom and has at least two movable container wall segments which can be moved between a working position in which they form the container with at least one further container wall segment, and a loading and unloading position in which a workpiece can be inserted into or removed from the container, ie from a treatment container as it is can be found in DE-A-38 14 014, to solve the problem proposed according to the invention to design the container so that the movable container wall segments in their working position form two opposite side walls and at least part of the bottom of the container and such are designed and movable that the container has an opening on its underside when the movable wall segments are in their loading and unloading position.
- the treatment container according to the invention also allows the workpieces to be treated to be introduced either horizontally into the treatment container and removed therefrom, or to be loaded or unloaded from below onto the treatment container with the workpieces.
- the shape of a circular cylinder treatment container could be thought of pushing the movable container wall segments along arcuate paths in front of or behind an adjacent wall area in order to open the treatment container.
- the movable container wall segments can be moved in at least a substantially vertical direction in order to open the way into or out of the treatment container for a workpiece which can be displaced in the horizontal direction.
- a treatment container designed in this way it is necessary only one lifting device for the movable container wall segments, even if their direction of movement with the vertical is an acute angle of z. B. forms up to 30 °.
- the two movable wall segments can also be raised and lowered again by means of a single actuating device, for. B. via a single lifting device and two cables.
- a preferred embodiment of the treatment container according to the invention is characterized in that at least one guide is provided for each of the movable container wall segments so that they can be moved in a simple manner, for. B. by means of a cable.
- a particularly simple construction for the treatment container according to the invention and a large opening for the workpieces result when the two end walls are stationary and the movable container wall segments extend between the two end walls.
- such a treatment container could be open at the top; Especially when working with spray nozzles and the workpiece is to be moved in the treatment container, however, an embodiment is preferred in which the container has a stationary hood which closes the container at the top and the movable wall segments below this hood.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment of the treatment container according to the invention is provided with link guides for the end wall ends of the movable wall segments, in the guide elements engage the wall segments, which are z. B. can be simple pens, but also rotatably mounted rollers.
- a treatment container according to the invention could in principle be designed in such a way that the movable container wall segments located in their working position lie closely against the adjacent container wall regions.
- the treatment container and the actuation device for the movable container wall segments can be made simpler if such seals are dispensed with and an open-topped container for cleaning liquid is arranged at least under the parting lines along which the movable wall segments adjoin adjacent wall segments.
- cleaning liquid is always introduced into the treatment container during the cleaning process, e.g. B. via the spray nozzles mentioned above, so that during the cleaning process mostly cleaning fluid is continuously removed from the treatment tank anyway, which can also be done via the above-mentioned parting lines.
- the cleaning liquid that arrives in the collecting container can then easily be returned to the cleaning process.
- the treatment container is assigned a cleaning liquid supply container arranged above it and which has a controllable closure at the bottom for emptying it into the treatment container.
- This reservoir can then be filled with cleaning fluid during a cleaning process, e.g. B. with the Reini continuously entering the collection container supply liquid, so that the treatment container can be filled extremely quickly for the next cleaning cycle by simply opening the closure between the storage container and the treatment container.
- the storage container extends at least almost over the entire length of the treatment container and the closure mentioned extends at least almost over the entire length of the storage container.
- the treatment container shown only schematically in the drawing has in the closed state approximately the shape of a circular cylinder with two stationary end walls 10 and 12, a stationary hood 14, the shape of which corresponds to approximately half a hollow circular cylinder, the walls of which, however, do not extend over the full angle of Extend 180 °, and with two movable wall segments 16 and 18, which together form an approximately semi-cylindrical trough in their respective working position and each of which has approximately the shape of a quarter of a hollow circular cylinder.
- link guides 20 and 22 or 24 and 26 are provided, for the sake of simplification of FIG. 1 the link guides are not shown in this drawing figure, but only dash-dotted the guide paths designated 20a and 22a, the are formed by the link guides 20 and 22 or 24 and 26 and at the same time are intended to indicate the path of the movable wall segments 16 and 18 which they cover between their respective working position and their respective loading and unloading position. As can be seen in FIG.
- the movable wall segments 16 and 18 have rollers 28 at their ends, specifically at each end at least two such rollers, which are held by axes 30 fastened to the wall segments and rotatably supported on the latter and by the Link guides 20 or 22 or 24 or 26, which have a U-shaped cross section, are guided along the guide path 20a or 22a.
- these axes of the rollers 28 are also indicated at 30.
- the treatment container designated as a whole by 32
- a so-called storage container 34 which forms a reservoir for cleaning liquid to be used in the treatment container 32, via a passage opening 36, which has the shape of a longitudinal slot, which extends over the entire length of the storage container 34, opens into the treatment container 32 and is provided with a closure flap 38, with which the passage opening 36 can be closed, but can also be released by rotating the closure flap.
- a lifting device 40 is arranged above the treatment container 32 and the storage container 34, which can be moved up and down in the direction of the double arrow F by a drive, not shown, and has four support rods 42, at the lower ends of which the movable wall segments 16 and 18 are articulated attached and thus pivotally suspended.
- the end walls 10 and 12 of which are adjacent, bearings 52 are fastened to a building foundation, in each of which a shaft 54 or 56 is rotatably but axially immovably mounted, these shafts being connected to rotary drives (not shown).
- the shafts 54 and 56 are sealed through the end walls 10 and 12 and hold a workpiece carrier designated as a whole by 60, which consists of two angular support elements 62, one of which is fastened to the drive shaft 54 and the shaft 56, respectively.
- a transport system not shown overall, is provided for transporting the workpieces, to which a workpiece conveyor 72 shown in FIG. 2 belongs, which can carry out horizontal and vertical movements. It has, for example, four centering pins 72a, which in corresponding, for. B. designed as holes receptacles 70a of the workpieces, and in a corresponding manner, the workpieces 70 can be held on the support members 62. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the workpieces can be placed with the conveyor 72 on the support elements 62 and removed from them again when the movable wall segments 16 and 18 assume their upper loading and unloading position.
- a collecting trough 80 Arranged under the treatment container 32 is a collecting trough 80, into which not only the cleaning liquid located in the treatment container 32 is emptied when the treatment container is opened by moving up the movable wall segments 16 and 18, but which also collects cleaning liquid which starts at those points of the treatment container this can escape, where the treatment tank may not be absolutely tight due to the movable wall segments 16 and 18; if such a drip pan is provided, sealing elements between the movable wall segments 16 and 18 and between these and the stationary hood 14 and the end walls 10 and 12 of the treatment container 32 can be dispensed with.
- spray pipes 90 are attached, which are held by the stationary end walls 10 and 12 and in different ways Way can be used: So it is z. B. possible to clean a workpiece 70, the closed treatment tank 32 via the spray pipes 90 or other inflow devices with cleaning liquid and to move the workpiece 70 to be cleaned with the aid of the workpiece carrier 60 in the cleaning liquid bath, z. B. have a rocking motion; in the course of filling the treatment container 32, the workpiece can first be sprayed off with the help of the spray pipes 90, but it is also possible to treat the workpiece 70 immersed in the bath formed by the cleaning liquid with cleaning liquid jets if the outlet openings of the passage pipes 90 e.g. B. directed to particularly critical areas of the workpiece.
- the treatment container 32 is to be flooded with cleaning liquid, it is expedient to provide it with an overflow opening 100 which determines the liquid level in the filled treatment container. If further cleaning liquid is then supplied to the interior of the treatment tank 32 via the spray pipes 90, this emerges from the treatment tank either via the overflow opening 100 or via leaks in the treatment tank and is removed from the collecting trough 80 and the overflow opening 100 via return lines (not shown) and one or more pumps returned the reservoir 34, if necessary after cleaning or preparation of the cleaning liquid.
- the closure flap 38 is opened so that the treatment container can be quickly filled with the cleaning liquid stored in the storage container 34.
- a treatment container and a workpiece transport system have been described above, which make it possible to introduce a workpiece to be cleaned into the container in the horizontal direction and to remove it again, in the embodiment shown the transport system being formed by a so-called lifting step conveyor, the workpiece conveyor of which Transporter 72 introduces a workpiece in the horizontal direction into the open treatment container and then places it on the support elements 62 of the workpiece carrier 60 by a slight downward movement, whereupon the workpiece conveyor 72 moves out of the treatment container in the horizontal direction.
- the cleaned workpiece is removed from the treatment container in steps with the opposite direction of movement.
- the lifting movement of the workpiece conveyor 72 is relatively small, as a result of which no great structural depth below the level of a workpiece conveyor system is required in the region of the treatment container and the path of the workpiece conveyor 72 -
- Such workpiece conveyor systems are generally roller conveyors or the like, which run in a horizontal plane.
- a substantially vertical movement of the movable container wall segments has the advantage that the workpieces to be cleaned or the cleaned workpieces can be delivered or removed from one another at short intervals, for. B. also by means of a overhead conveyor, which would not be the case if the movable container wall segments would cover significant distances when opening the treatment container in the horizontal direction.
- the workpiece conveyor 72 could be part of a so-called lifting step conveyor which, when the treatment container is open, moves a workpiece to be cleaned in a horizontal direction under the workpiece carrier 60, then brings it to a level above the supporting elements 62 by a lifting movement and finally passes it through a horizontal movement as well as a vertical downward movement on it.
- the workpiece transport system is not exposed to the influences of the cleaning liquid, because when the treatment container is opened, all parts of the workpiece transport system can be located to the side of the treatment container.
