Abstract

Une imprimante ou un photocopieur fonctionnant selon le principe hectographique comprend un dispositif d'impression du recto et/ou du verso d'un support d'enregistrement (29). Le dispositif comprend un tambour photoconducteur (10) et une bande thermoadhésive de transfert (12) couplée au tambour photoconducteur. Une station (18) d'impression hectographique et de fixation associée à la bande de transfert (12) contient une fente de fixation (23) d'un côté de laquelle est située la bande de transfert (10) et de l'autre côté de laquelle est situé un élément d'impression hectographique et de fixation (22) constitué par un rouleau chauffé d'impression hectographique. La bande de transfert (10) et l'élément d'impression hectographique et de fixation (22) s'appuient élastiquement l'un sur l'autre. Afin d'imprimer en même temps le recto et le verso d'un support d'enregistrement, une première image en toner (39/1) associée au verso du support d'enregistrement (29) et une deuxième image en toner associée au recto (39/2) du support d'enregistrement (29) sont générées sur le tambour photoconducteur et transférées dans cet ordre à la bande de transfert (12). Les images en toner chauffées jusqu'à l'état pâteux sont amenées à la fente de fixation (23), l'image en toner (39/1) correspondant au verso étant traitée la première par le rouleau chauffé (22) d'impression hectographique et de fixation (22). Le support d'enregistrement (29) est ensuite amené à la fente de fixation (23). En tournant sur la feuille (29), la bande de transfert (12) et le rouleau d'impression (22) assurent en même temps le transfert et la fixation des images en toner sur les deux côtés du support d'enregistrement
