Definitions
- the invention relates to a glare protection device with a plurality of elongated light deflection slats arranged at a distance from one another, which are mirrored on their upper sides and are preferably concave upwards in cross section. Furthermore, the invention relates to a light deflection slat for such a glare protection device.
- the high window luminance, or the resulting glare, which is particularly annoying when using screens, is generally due on the one hand to the high sky luminance, which can also occur when the sun is hidden, and, on the other hand, to reflections of the sky radiation, of course also directly Sunlight counts, on other buildings or on snow-covered ground, for example.
- the light that strikes a window opening in practice is generally diffuse (i.e. it strikes from all possible directions), with higher luminance levels from certain directions (e.g. the sun or that facing a white wall) clearly being expected than from others.
- Good anti-glare devices are characterized in that, on the one hand, they are below a critical angle, generally the horizontal (in special applications however, other critical angles are possible), allow only a little light to enter the room and thus prevent glare, for example at the workplace (anti-glare conditions), but on the other hand allow as much light as possible to get by without artificial lighting during the day.
- a critical angle generally the horizontal (in special applications however, other critical angles are possible)
- This can be achieved, for example, by means of an anti-glare device in the form of a retractable louvre blind with light-deflecting louvers mirrored at the top and concavely curved upwards, as is known from EP-A2-0303107.
- the object of the invention is to provide an improved anti-glare device of the type mentioned, which brings a high amount of light into the room overall while observing the anti-glare conditions and which on the other hand allows a certain view from the room through the anti-glare device to the outside.
- the perforated design of the deflection slats allows a certain partial transparency and thus enables an at least vague look out from the room. At the same time, however, the desired anti-glare effect of the anti-glare device is retained.
- the light deflecting slats are perforated only on a strip that extends in the longitudinal direction of the slat and only occupies part of the slat width, during that remaining part of the slat width has a continuous closed surface.
- the closed, mirrored surface enables almost complete reflection of the light rays striking it, while the perforated (perforated) areas naturally swallow some light. Due to the only partial perforation of the slats, a high degree of efficiency can be achieved via the closed surfaces and nevertheless a certain transparency through the perforated areas.
- each light deflecting lamella facing a room is higher in the operating position than the upper outer longitudinal edge facing away from it, parallel to it
- the perforated strip extends lengthwise over the entire light deflecting lamella and extends in width from the deepest area in the operating position to substantially up to the inner longitudinal edge.
- the outer area of the light deflecting lamella, which is initially struck by the light is thus provided with a closed, mirrored surface which permits low-loss reflection. Only the area of the light deflection slats, which rises towards the rear and actually prevents the view from the outside, is perforated and thus allows the desired transparency from the inside to the outside through the glare protection device.
- FIG. 1 shows a room with a workplace to be protected from glare through a window, one of many possible arrangements of the anti-glare device according to the invention being shown schematically
- FIG. 2 a schematic illustration of an embodiment of the anti-glare device according to the invention
- 3 shows a schematic cross section through four light deflecting slats of a further exemplary embodiment
- FIG. 4 shows an exemplary embodiment of a light deflecting slat according to the invention in a perspective view
- FIG. 5 shows a cross section through two light deflecting slats of a further exemplary embodiment.
- the 1 shows a work station 2 arranged in a partial area of the room 1.
- Light enters the room 1 from outside through a light entry opening designed as a window 3.
- the anti-glare device 4 arranged inside the window 3 prevents the luminance of the window which can be seen from the workplace from being too high and thus causing glare.
- the anti-glare device 4 deflects light incident from the outside into an angular range substantially above the horizontal limit beam h.
- a typical light beam path is designated by l.
- the anti-glare device consists of a pull-up slatted blind 4, shown schematically in FIG. 2, the light deflecting slats 5 of which are mirrored on their upper sides and can preferably be concave upwards over their entire length.
- the inner longitudinal edge 5a facing the space 1 is advantageously of the same height (see FIG. 5) or higher (see FIGS. 3 and 4) than the outer longitudinal edge 5b. If glare protection is not required, the blind can be raised to the position designated 4 'in FIG. 2.
- Fig. 3 are four superimposed light deflection slats of an anti-glare device according to the invention shown.
- the anti-glare device will have more than four light deflection slats one above the other, generally over the full height of the window.
- the tops of the light deflection slats 5 are mirrored and, in the preferred embodiment, are formed by a high-gloss aluminum surface of the light deflection slats 5 made of aluminum.
- the mirrored tops of the light deflection slats there is essentially directional reflection according to the known reflection law, the mirrored tops of the light deflection slats having a reflectance of more than 85% with a diffuse fraction of less than 20% according to DIN 5036.
- the gloss of the mirrored tops of the light deflection slats at an angle of incidence of 60 ° is more than 80% according to DIN 67530.
- the undersides of the light deflection slats are matt coated or lacquered to avoid glare from light rays reflected on the undersides that enter the room downwards at an angle below the horizontal h. It is advantageous if the degree of reflection of the diffusely reflecting undersides of the light deflection slats is between 30 and 50%. Such a design of the undersides also has a favorable effect on the partial transparency of the glare protection device from inside to outside which is perceptible to the viewer and which will be described in more detail below.
- the above reflectance values refer to the surface areas between or outside the holes.
- the light deflecting slats 5 are perforated in stripes of width b extending in the longitudinal direction of the slats through a perforation, as can be seen for example from FIG. 4, which represents only part of the slat length.
- the perforated strip extends lengthwise over the entire light deflecting lamella and in width from approximately the lowest point A to essentially up to the inner longitudinal edge 5a, which is higher than the outer longitudinal edge 5b and in the exemplary embodiment shown approximately at the level of the lowest point overlying light deflection slat.
- the outside of the slats have a continuous mirrored surface in area a and thus allow the glare protection device to be highly efficient.
- the area adjacent to the inner longitudinal edge 5a of the light deflecting lamella 5 has a continuous, that is to say a non-perforated, surface over a width of preferably a few millimeters.
- the perforation can advantageously be formed by a regular pattern of holes that are circular in plan view through the light deflection slats, as shown in FIG. 4.
- the holes 6 can advantageously be arranged in rows of holes running in the longitudinal direction of the slats, which are offset from one another and thus result in a perforation which is as uniform as possible.
- the holes 6 can be formed, for example, by punching out or drilling.
- the hole size and the proportion of the holes essentially determine the transparency through the anti-glare device. For example, a higher proportion of holes can increase the transparency from the inside to the outside through the glare protection device. However, this also reduces efficiency, i.e. the total amount of light brought into the room.
- the proportion of holes is defined as the ratio of the entire surface of the holes 6 in plan view to the surface of the strip of width b lying between the holes. In terms of production technology and optics, it is favorable if the maximum hole diameter is less than 2 mm, preferably less than 1 mm.
- Fig. 5 two light deflection slats 5 of an embodiment are shown schematically in cross section.
- the slat width in the present case is 80 mm and the slat distance 11 mm.
- the outer longitudinal edge 5b is the same height as the inner (room-side) longitudinal edge 5a.
- the deepest below the horizontal without reflection direct light beam l1 includes only a small negative critical angle ⁇ with the horizontal X.
- the Lichtumlenklamellen 5 are - seen in cross section - parts of ellipses of the focal points F1, F2 on the longitudinal edges 5a, b of the respective light deflecting slat.
- the light deflecting slats can be suspended in an immovable, fixed position, which they automatically assume when the slatted blind is lowered.
- a pivotable suspension of the light deflecting slats is also conceivable and possible.
- the invention relates to a deflection slat of a glare protection device with the features according to one of claims 1 to 17.
- the perforated area can extend over a larger area of the lamella width than is shown in FIG. 4.
- the perforation need not be arranged in the pattern shown in Fig. 4.
- the holes do not necessarily have to be circular. Rather, square holes can also be provided, for example, in plan view, in order to perforate the light deflection slats.

Abstract
Description
Fig. 5) oder höher (vgl. Fig. 3 und 4) als die äußere Längskante 5b.
