Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a one-piece plastic closure for attachment to a container, consisting of a lower part with a cover surface in which a pouring opening is arranged, and a cap pivotally connected thereto via a hinge axis, and a guarantee element which is connected in one piece to the closure and which furthermore Features of the preamble of claim 1 includes.
  • a one-piece plastic closure according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-4,941,592.
  • a tear-out seal is arranged on the edge region of the cap, which in the guaranteed position of the closure engages in an opening arranged laterally in the lower part of the closure.
  • the plastic closure with the features of claim 1 is used in combination with a container with a holding bead on the container neck, then the at least one guarantee element, which in the guarantee state is in positive connection with the holding bead on the container neck, has a dual function in which it is both the first time Opening movement by opening the cap, as well as by unscrewing the entire closure from the container makes it visually recognizable.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 A particularly preferred embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, which is particularly preferred because the guarantee element can be triggered by two different opening movements.
  • a closure which deviates from the round shape, is particularly suitable for being placed on blown plastic bottles, which can have a special design for the neck of the container.
  • a container 1 has a cylindrical container neck 2, which in the area of its upper end has an outer circumferential, annular holding bead 3, which here has, for example, a hook-shaped cross section.
  • the transition area 4 between the container neck 3 and the actual container 1 has a shape that deviates from the round shape. The closure bounced on the container 1 can thus be unscrewed.
  • the transition area 4 which, however, must have a larger diameter than the container neck 2 can also be cylindrical and have an external thread like this.
  • a cylindrical closure can then also be screwed or pressed onto a container neck designed in this way, which otherwise has the same mode of operation and design, how the closure shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can have.
  • the closure itself which is designated by 10, has a lower part 11 and a cap 12, which is connected to the lower part via a hinge axis 13.
  • the hinge axis 13 is preferably formed by a film hinge, other hinge axes that are movable, such as hinges, also being suitable.
  • the lower part 11 has a circumferential jacket wall 14 which is non-positively and / or positively held on the transition area 4 of the container 1. Corresponding clamping beads are provided on the inside of the jacket wall for this purpose. If the closure is a cylindrical one, the jacket wall 14 can be provided with an internal thread instead of the clamping beads. It is essential, however, that the jacket wall 14 surrounds the upper region of the container neck 2 at a distance, and thus leaves a free space F.
  • the lower part 11 is closed at the top by a cover surface 16 which has a pouring opening 17.
  • the cap 12 also has a top surface 19 and a circumferential, adjoining the top surface 19, Jacket wall 20.
  • the jacket walls 20 or 14 of the cap 12 or the lower part 11 are at least approximately vertically one above the other. However, this is by no means imperative since the entire closure 10 can also have a taper.
  • a guarantee element 21 is held in the top surface 19 of the cap 12 via predetermined breaking points 22 in the form of struts.
  • the guarantee element 21 has a sealing surface in the form of a plate 23, on the underside of which a strut 24 is formed.
  • the strut 24 is provided at its lower end with a form-locking means 25 in the form of a hook or nose.
  • the plate 23 which forms the seal is flush with its surface with the top of the top surface 19 of the cap 12.
  • a recess 26 is left free, which is located under the plate 23 and through which the strut 24 extends to below the cover surface 16 and to just below the retaining bead 3 on the container neck 2.
  • the strut 24 thus protrudes into the free space F.
  • the lower part 11 must be sealed with respect to the container neck 2, for which purpose an annular wall 27 projecting sealingly into the container neck 2 extends circumferentially around the pouring opening 17 is provided.
  • the recess 26 may pass through the top surface 16 of the lower part 11 only in the area between the jacket wall 14 and the dense ring wall 27 and consequently only communicate with the free space F.
  • the closure 10 is shown in the state of use in FIG.
  • the closure is brought into this state by a first opening movement.
  • This general way of expression is based on the fact that, regardless of the type of opening, the guarantee element 21 is transferred from the guarantee state into the use state.
  • the user will open the cap 12 by pivoting it about the pivot axis 13.
  • the top surface 19 of the cap 12 moves upward relative to the lower part 11 or the container neck 2.
  • the form-locking means 25 engages at the lower end of the strut 24 on the retaining bead 3 of the container neck 2.
  • the predetermined breaking points 22 tear and the guarantee element 21 falls down since it is no longer held in the cap 12. This is possible because the free space F has enough space for the strut 24.
  • the hole 28 in the cover surface 19 of the cap has become free Closure 10 is no longer under warranty.
  • the same sequence has an opening movement of the entire closure 10. If the closure 10 is designed as a twist-off closure, then when the entire closure 10 is opened for the first time, it is rotated relative to the container 1 or container neck 2. Here, the form-fitting means 25 initially slides along the strut 24 only along the lower edge of the holding bead 3, whereupon the form-fitting means 25 engages behind the holding bead in the subsequent vertical movement of the closure 10 and the predetermined breaking points 22 tear. The entire guarantee element 21 also falls into a lower position on this and exposes a hole 28 in the top surface 19 of the cap 12.
  • the recess 26 is designed in such a way that the plate 23, which serves as a seal in the guarantee state, is held therein in a form-fitting and / or non-positive manner, so that the guarantee element is now given an aesthetic task in which it elegantly covers the recess 26.
  • a chicane 30, for example in the form of a spring arm, is provided on the underside of the top surface 19 of the cap 12. This baffle 30 will then automatically press the plate 23 during the subsequent opening movement of the cap 12 in the subsequent closing process and press it into the recess 26.
  • the design described here is therefore absolutely foolproof in terms of function and prevents incorrect manipulation.
  • FIG 3 again shows a closure in longitudinal section. While the lower part 11 corresponds approximately to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the cap 12 connected therewith via the hinge 13 is designed to be relatively low, that is to say the jacket wall 20 of the cap is relatively short.
  • the guarantee element 21 is not with the container, but with the lower part 11 of the closure in a positive connection.
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 merely serve to illustrate the possibilities that the plate 23, with respect to the top surface 19, of the cap 12 either in a position offset downwards, as shown in FIG. 10, or in a position offset upwards, as shown in Figure 11.
  • the predetermined breaking points 22 can be realized in these cases instead of using concrete bridges in the form of extremely thin peripheral edges.
  • FIGS. 8 and 9 each show a closure 10, which each has an oval cross-sectional shape.
  • the two closures, which are shown in the warranty state, are visible with a view of the cap 12.
  • a closure according to FIG. 8, with a centrally arranged hinge axis in the form of a film hinge 13.
  • There are 13 on both sides of the film hinge indicated two straps 35, which cause the snap action of the closure.
  • there are two guarantee elements 21 which are symmetrical with respect to the axes of the oval.
  • the predetermined breaking points 22 can be clearly seen.
  • the snap hinge is formed here by two partial hinges 13, which is designed on both sides of a spring element in the form of a toggle lever 37.
  • a pusher 36 is attached to the cap 12 on the opposite side of the closure, which facilitates the opening of the closure.
  • other known snap hinges can of course also be used, without limitation, so to speak.
  • the plate has the shape of an equilateral triangle, as shown in FIG. 11b.
  • What is essential in this embodiment, in which a torsional force is used, is not so much the consideration of creating a further possibility of an optically recognizable seal, but much more that such an embodiment is extremely sabotage-proof.
  • the sealing surface 23 is the same size as the cross-sectional area of the strut 24, and if the webs of the predetermined breaking points 22 are destroyed during the first opening movement, the entire strut 24 with its sealing surface 23 falls through the cover surface 16 into the space below.
  • the strut 24 is hollow to save material.
  • the strut 24 is provided with longitudinal slots 29, which allow an additional spring action, which makes sense with such a large cross-sectional area of the strut.
  • the cross-sectional shape of the strut can also have the same shape as the sealing surface 23.
  • Figure 12b shows a solution partially in supervision, in which the sealing surface and strut have a cross shape.
  • the strut can be massively manufactured.
  • FIG. 13 a solution is outlined in FIG. 13, in which an additional spring force is used for this.
  • an additional spring force is used for this.
  • the design of the guarantee element 21 with a spring plate 23 and the strut 24 molded thereon with terminal form-locking means 25 corresponds to previously described exemplary embodiments.
  • What is new in this embodiment, according to FIG. 13, is that a plurality of spring struts 44 are present below the top surface 16 of the lower part 11 in the area around the recess 26.
  • the spring legs 44 can be pretensioned by means of a slide 45, so that they press on the form-locking means 25 when the closure is in the guaranteed state.
  • the tension of the spring struts 44 is first exerted by the tensile force exerted by the form-locking means 25 the struts 44 is passed increases.
  • the predetermined breaking points 22 tear, the entire guarantee element 21 is thrown down at high speed, where it is finally caught in a recess in the lower cover surface 16 of the lower part 11 by means of holding knobs 46.
  • the configuration of the form-locking means 25 on the strut 24 does not always have to have a hook-like shape, as is shown in FIG. 14.
  • the strut 24 here is in the form of a spring plate molded onto the underside of the plate 23, which only has an opening 25 as a form-locking means.
  • this type of form-locking means 25 such a strut has two openings 25 and 25 'arranged one above the other, as shown in FIG. 14. If the plate 23 is torn out of the cap when it is opened for the first time, it can then be pressed onto the top surface of the lower part. The top surface of the lower part in turn has a corresponding recess in which the strut engages.
  • the recess 26 need not be congruent under the strut 24.
  • Figures 15 and 16 illustrate this.
  • FIG. 16 shows a top view of a fully opened closure in the production position, the lower part being seen from above and the cap from the inside.
  • the guarantee element 21 has the form of a pivotable lever 50 which is movably connected to the lower part 11 via a pivot axis 51 is.
  • a through hole 52 is provided in the top surface 19 of the cap 12, which is the same size as the lever arm surface 53.
  • the baffle 54 again presses the swivel lever 50, but since the supporting action of the injection core plate 60 is no longer present, the swivel lever 50 is automatically pushed down to the lower part 11.
  • the recess 26, through which the injection core part 60 extends during manufacture and the initial closing, is now open.
  • the pivot lever 50 can now be through the chicane 54 Push it down to the lower part 11 so that the pivot lever 50 pivots into the recess 26 and finally closes it completely in the position of use, according to FIG. 17 i.
  • This solution therefore does not require any predetermined breaking points.
  • the condition for this solution is again that it has a free space F below the top surface 16 of the lower part 11, between the jacket wall 14 and the sealing ring wall 27 around the spout 17.
