Definitions

  • the invention relates to a height-adjustable support foot for furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the lower foot part has on its two lateral legs no locking pins which, in the locked position of the foot parts, project into downwardly open recesses in the legs of the upper foot part.
  • additional securing parts such as wave spring washers, are provided which pretension the legs or the pivot arms of the lower foot section lying in extension to them Press on the upper part of the foot and thereby cause friction.
  • the lower foot part is held on the upper foot part by friction.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a support leg of this type so that a secure locking of the two foot parts is guaranteed with the support leg extended.
  • the trigger of the lock is pivoted when the lower foot part is pivoted back into the extended position into a position in which it locks the lower foot part so that it cannot inadvertently pivot back into the folded position. Since the lower foot section can only pivot relative to the upper foot section, but cannot be moved, the lower foot section is reliably locked by the trigger. The furniture can be lifted without fear that the lower foot part will accidentally come out of the locked position.
  • the trigger By the trigger, the lower foot part is held properly in its extended position without an additional securing part, so that the support foot according to the invention is structurally simple and consists of only a few individual parts.
  • the support leg 1 shown in Figures 1 to 8 serves to support a table top (not shown) of a folding table for a caravan or caravan.
  • the table top is screwed to a mounting plate 4 of the support foot 1, which is fastened, preferably welded, to an upper foot part 5 of the two-part support foot 1.
  • the foot part 5 is articulated to a second foot part 6.
  • the foot parts 5 and 6 are perpendicular to one another, while they are aligned with one another in a raised, upper position of the table top (FIGS. 2 to 5, 8). In this position, the foot parts 5, 6 are secured against pivoting via a lock 2.
  • the foot parts 5, 6 are formed by metal profile parts with a U-shaped cross section, but can also be closed profile parts.
  • the bottom 7, 8 of the foot parts 5, 6 is provided for stiffening with an expression 9, 10 which extends essentially over its entire length and width (FIGS. 1, 7, 8).
  • the legs 5a, 5b and 6a, 6b of the foot parts 5, 6 are approximately the same width and several times narrower than the bottom 7 and 8.
  • the ends 11, 12 of the legs 5a, 5b of the foot part 5 facing away from the foot part 6 are included the mounting plate 4 is preferably welded. They are preferably bent (not shown) at right angles, so that the plate 4 lies flat on the leg ends 11, 12.
  • the other leg ends 13, 14 of the foot part 5 (Fig. 5, 7) are straight.
  • cover part 17 On the end of the foot part 5 facing the foot part 6 there is a cover part 17, which will be described in more detail below. It overlaps the upper end of the lower foot part 6 so that the space between the foot parts is covered when they are pivoted outwards. This prevents the operator from pivoting the lower foot part 6 can injure by pinching the fingers.
  • the cover part 17 serves as a support or support with which the upper foot part 5 rests on the floor when the foot part 6 is pivoted away (FIG. 1).
  • the lower free end of the foot part 6 is also covered with a cap-like cover part or support part 19 which, like the cover part 17, is preferably made of plastic. But it can also be made of metal.
  • the cover part 19 has a U-shaped edge 21 (FIG. 1) into which the foot part 6 is inserted with its lower edge.
  • the cover part 19 also has a bottom 20 to which the edge 21 connects. With the floor 20, the foot part 6 is supported on the floor of the vehicle when the support foot is extended.
  • the cover part 17 has a similar shape as the cover part 19; it also has a U-shaped peripheral edge 22 (FIGS. 1 and 5 to 7) with which it engages around the associated end of the foot part 5 (FIGS. 4, 8).
  • the cover part 17 has a bottom 24 perpendicular to the edge 22, the width of which is approximately equal to the height of the edge 22.
  • the bottom 24 of the cover part 17 lies only a short distance from the end edge 25 of the bottom 8 of the foot part 6 (FIG. 5).
  • the cover part 17 has lateral through-slots 26, 27 for the leg ends 13, 14 of the foot part 5 and the free leg ends 28, 29 (FIGS. 5 and 6) of the foot part 6.
  • the through-slots 26, 27 penetrate the bottom 24 of the cover part 17 and the legs 30, 31 of the U-shaped edge 22.
  • the legs 30, 31 of the edge 22 of the cover part 17 are not concealed, so that they are not weakened inadmissibly by the through slots 26, 27 are.
  • the areas facing each other the edge legs 30, 31 each have a recess 32 which opens into the end face of the legs 30, 31 facing away from the bottom 24 and which each receive a bearing pin 33, 34 (FIGS. 4 to 8), which on the leg ends 13, 14 of the Foot part 5 is provided.
  • the bolts 33, 34 extend in alignment in the direction of one another and protrude through openings or bores in the leg ends 28, 29 of the foot part 6.
  • the two foot parts 5, 6 are articulated to one another via the bearing bolts 33, 34.
  • the bearing pin 33 protrudes through an elongated hole 37 (FIGS. 5 to 8) of a trigger 38 of the locking mechanism 2, which extends in the longitudinal direction of the foot part 5.
  • the trigger mechanism 38 is designed like a bolt and is connected to a handle 3 of the locking mechanism 2, as will be explained below.
  • the cover part 17 thus serves not only as a support for the foot part 5 when the support foot 1 is angled, but also as a pinch protection for the fingers.
  • the bottom 24 of the cover part 17 merges into the legs in the region of the legs 30, 31 via an angle 43 (FIG. 4).
  • the parts of the legs 30, 31 which have the depression 32 each have a nose 42 which projects slightly beyond the outer leg parts.
  • edge 22 of the cover part 17 in the region of the lateral slots 26, 27 in a lower section 44 adjoining the end 39 of the foot part 5 has a smaller wall thickness than in the rest of the region.
  • a U-shaped recess 45 is preferably formed on the inside of the edge 22 (FIG. 7), into which a projection 46 of the upper leg ends 28, 29 of the foot part 6 projects when the support foot 1 is extended. In the extended position of the support foot 1 (FIG. 8), the two projections 46 engage behind the lower end 39 of the foot part 5, so that an exact positional alignment of the foot parts with respect to one another is ensured.
  • the projections 46 connect via a semicircular depression 47 to the upper edge 25 of the bottom 8 of the foot part 6.
  • the projections 46 lie in the plane of the legs 6a, 6b of the foot part 6 and have an approximately rectangular outline with rounded edges.
  • the projections 46 protrude beyond the edge of the legs 6a, 6b facing the base 8.
  • the part 28, 29 of the legs 6a, 6b which has the projections 46 protrudes above the base 8.
  • the projections 46 each go over a semi-circular rounded nose 46a into the bottom 8 of the foot part 6 essentially aligned rear edge portion 48 of the associated leg end 28, 29 of the foot part 6 via.
  • the edge section 48 merges rounded into an edge section 49 lying at an acute angle to it, which adjoins a straight edge section 50. It is the free edge of the legs 6a, 6b of the foot part 6.
  • the trigger 38 is bar-shaped and has a step 51 approximately in half its length, so that an upper bar part 52 and a lower bar part 60 are formed.
  • the locking part 52 lies flat against the inside of the leg 5a of the foot part 5.
  • the end 54 of the latch 52 facing the handle 3 is hook-shaped (FIG. 5) and lies at right angles to the latch part 53.
  • the free end 55 of the hook end 54 is bent at an obtuse angle and has a hook opening 56 in which a web 57 of a spring part 58 lies . It protrudes through an opening 59 in the leg 5a of the foot part 5.
  • the lower latch part 60 lies against the inside of the leg 30 of the cover part 17.
  • the bearing pin 33 (FIG. 8) lies against the upper edge of the elongated hole 37 of the trigger 38, while it rests against the lower end of the elongated hole when the support leg is angled (FIG. 7).
  • the trigger 38 has a lower, triangular end 61 with which it projects downward over the foot part 5.
  • the trigger end 61 is surmounted by the cover part 17. This prevents the bolt end 61 according to the position of the support foot 1.
  • Fig. 7 rests on the floor and is damaged.
  • the trigger 38 abuts the bottom 8 of the foot part 6 with its end 61 or its rear edge 62.
  • the trigger end 61 overlaps thus the foot part, which cannot be pivoted about the bearing bolts 33, 34 as a result.
  • the trigger 38 To pivot the foot part 6 from the extended into the angled position, the trigger 38 must be moved upwards in the direction of arrow P in FIGS. 5 and 7 by actuating the handle 3. As a result, the trigger 38 is displaced in the same direction into the position shown in FIG. 7 via the hook end 54, 55. The end 61 of the trigger 38 lies in the upwardly displaced end position above the edge 25 of the foot part 6, so that it can be pivoted into the position shown in FIG. 7.
  • the handle 3 has a side view acc. 1 and 5 triangular base body 3a, which has a rectangular outline in plan view of the leg 5a of the foot 5 (FIG. 2) and is located on the outside of the leg 5a of the foot part 5.
  • the base body 3a has a web 63 which projects downwards and with which it is guided on the outside of the leg 5a of the foot part 5.
  • the web 63 extends perpendicular to the one shorter triangular side 64 of the base body 3a and forms a common guide surface with the base side 65 thereof.
  • the main body 3a is provided with a slot 66 extending in the longitudinal direction over almost its entire height, into which a free, angled end 67 of a longer leg 68 of the spring part 58 protrudes.
  • the angled leg end 67 advantageously rests under elastic prestress on the upper edge 59a of the opening 59 (FIG. 5).
  • the essentially U-shaped spring part 58 or its legs have a slightly smaller width than the slot 66.
  • the longer leg 68 of the spring part 58 merges approximately at right angles into the web 57, which connects at an acute angle to a short leg parallel to the web 63. It merges vertically into a covered transition section 70, which has a roof-shaped outer surface 71. It adjoins a bottom surface 72 of the longitudinal slot 66 which is at an obtuse angle to the leg 5a.
  • the handle 3 is preferably made of plastic.
  • the spring part 58 or its longer leg 68 are elastically resilient.
  • the base body 3a with the web 63 and the transition section 70 is displaced relative to the spring leg 68, which is supported with its free end 67 on the opening edge 59a.
  • the spring leg 68 is bent elastically.
  • the base body 3a can be displaced at most until the spring leg 68 comes to rest on the bottom surface 71.
  • the transition section 70 gives the handle 3 high strength.
  • the handle 3 can be released. Under the force of the spring leg 68, the base body 3a is returned to its original position. Fig. 5 pushed back. The base body 3a then bears against the lower opening edge 59b under the force of the prestressed spring leg 68.
  • the foot part 6 can be pivoted back into the extended position in the direction of arrow Z in FIG. 7 with the table raised.
  • the foot part 6 comes to rest with its upper edge 25 on the locking end 61. It has an overrun edge 74 lying obliquely to the swivel path Z of the edge 25 of the base 8 of the foot part 6.
  • the trigger 38 together with the base body 3a acts against the force of the spring leg 68 when the foot part is pivoted 6 postponed.
  • the edge 25 of the foot part 6 has passed the locking end 61, the trigger 38 becomes automatic under the force of the spring leg 68 in the locking position acc. Fig. 8 adjusted.
  • the locking end 61 preferably has a rounded tip, so that the edge 25 of the foot part 6 can be pivoted easily over the trigger 38.
