Definitions
- the present invention relates to the development of the composition of a nickel base alloy, hardened by precipitation of the prime gamma phase and resistant to corrosion, as well as the shaping of this alloy by thermomechanical transformation and treatments thermal.
- the invention typically applies to the production of parts for the petroleum industry, when the surrounding medium is made highly aggressive by the presence of chemical species such as H 2 S, CO 2 , S - ions, H + , Cl - and brought to very high temperatures and pressures in service.
- the pieces produced in the nuance mentioned above must present both characteristics of high mechanical resistance and high resistance to corrosion, particularly to stress corrosion, possibly assisted by the degradation mechanisms by hydrogen proton.
- Corrosion inhibitors especially organic inhibitors, see their action strongly limited by the temperatures reached, in these media, and become ineffective beyond 120/150 ° C.
- Duplex steels with high mechanical strength can be used with safety, in media containing H 2 S and CINa at relatively high concentrations, as long as - the temperature is close to ambient; on the other hand, as soon as the temperature rises, for example to 80 ° C. or above, this type of steel is subject to corrosion under stress in sulfurous medium, even for low concentrations of chloride ions.
- EP-A-0 136 998 relates to an alloy intended to be used in petroleum sites, in the hardened state.
- This alloy contains the elements Si, Mn, and C in quantities less than 1%, less than 1.5% and less than 0.1%, respectively.
- the composition according to the invention additionally includes, in weight quantities not exceeding 0.5%, tungsten and / or niobium.
- the solution is preferably carried out with temperature maintenance of the alloy for 2 minutes per mm of alloy thickness, it is rapidly cooled to water, oil or air depending on the importance of the part, the hold times at the aging in stages or in differentiated cycles with return to room temperature between each of cycles, being between 2 hours and 24 hours.
- the development of the alloy is performed under vacuum, and followed by reflow by electrode consumable under vacuum or under slag.
- a third object of the present invention is a part made of alloy composition according to the claim 1, in particular a part intended to make or being part of a tubing, wellhead or other device for the petroleum industry.
- composition alloy according to the claim 1 also relates to the use of composition alloy according to the claim 1 in environments causing degradation mechanisms by stress corrosion, especially in the production of parts for industry oil.
- This alloy excels everything particularly in this type of application by its corrosion resistance and maintenance of properties high mechanical, despite long stays in environments corrosive.
- the flows A and B essentially differ in the molybdenum and copper contents.
- the flows A and C differ in the nature of the hardening elements added (niobium, titanium, aluminum).
- test specimens constrained to stresses of 2/3 of the elastic limit Rp 0.2 , did not show any cracking after 720 h of test, in the two media.
- the so-called "depassivation pH” test was carried out in an aqueous solution of deaerated 2M NaCl and acidified by addition of hydrochloric acid (the depassivation pH, or pH d is determined by taking as a criterion the density of dissolution current of the sample equal to 10 ⁇ A.cm -2 ).
- flows A and B are characterized by a relative fragility in the aged state: the level breaking energy in bending by shock of test pieces KV does not exceed 30 J, whatever the level of resistance above 1000 MPa; these two flows have the greater potential for hardening.
- Casting C reports a high impact bending energy, which decreases progressively when the resistance level rises, the elastic limit compromise Rp 0.2 / impact bending energy can be precisely adjusted.
