Abstract

The invention relates to a method of improving the heat insulation on frames (1) which are made up of heat-insulated composite profiles (2) for windows, doors or the like, the composite profiles (2) comprising two metal profiles (3, 4) which are held at a distance from one another and are connected to one another, with the formation of at least one inner chamber (6), via at least two mutually parallel insulating webs (5) arranged in grooves of the metal profiles (3, 4), and each inner chamber (6) exhibiting a heat-insulation material (7). In order to avoid the former difficulties, the invention proposes that the heat-insulating material (7), in particular in the form of small particles (8), be introduced at at least one point (9) into each inner chamber (6) of the composite profiles (2) only when the frame (1) has been ready-assembled. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a method for improving the thermal insulation on frames made of thermally insulated composite profiles for windows, doors or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

DE-OS 3.440.710).There are numerous proposals to improve the thermal insulation of composite profiles and thus the thermal insulation of the frames made from them. This is achieved in particular by introducing heat-insulating material into the inner chamber of the composite profiles and thus reducing heat radiation and convection (see, for example, DE-OS 3,440,710).

Difficulties may arise in the surface treatment of the composite profiles equipped in this way, or the production of blanks from composite profiles equipped in this way can be difficult.

The invention is therefore based on the object of simplifying the production process for the frame while avoiding the difficulties mentioned.
The object is achieved in that the heat-insulating material is only introduced into the inner chamber of the composite profiles at least one point on the fully assembled frame. This suggests a simple and inexpensive procedure, and at the same time in particular avoids all difficulties with regard to surface processing and cutting.

It is particularly advisable to insert the thermal insulation material at the highest point of the frame.

According to a preferred embodiment, the heat-insulating material is introduced in the form of small particles, the particles being in particular granules of inorganic substances or mixtures of substances, preferably silicates, metal oxides or the like, or balls of a foamed plastic material such as polyamide, polyethylene, polystyrene , Polyurethane or the like. This also has the great advantage that logistical problems are avoided, because now there is no longer any need to stock heat-insulating material for different cross-sections of the inner chamber.

The heat-insulating material is preferably introduced by filling in or by blowing it in and / or sucking it out of a storage container. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, in addition to at least one air inlet opening, at least one air outlet opening covered with a sieve or the like for retaining the particles is to be provided.
To improve the degree of filling during the filling process, the frame is preferably vibrated mechanically, electrically or by ultrasound.

Dabei bilden sich eine oder mehrere Innenkammern 6 aus (die Wärmedämmzonen sind jeweils punktiert angedeutet).FIG. 1 shows schematically a thermally insulated frame 1 for windows, doors or the like made of composite profiles 2, the profile cross section of which is shown in FIG. 2. The insulated Composite profiles 2 each consist of two aluminum profiles 3, 4, which are held at a distance from one another and are connected to one another via at least two insulating webs 5 which are arranged in grooves in the metal profiles 3, 4 and run parallel to one another. One or more inner chambers 6 form in this case (the thermal insulation zones are each indicated by dots).

To improve the thermal insulation, thermal insulation material 7 is introduced into the inner chamber 6. This is done by introducing heat-insulating material 7 in the form of balls 8 into the inner chamber 6 of the composite profiles 2 on the fully assembled frame 1 at at least one point designated by number 9.

In Figures 3 and 4, the blowing or sucking from a reservoir 10 of balls 8 made of a plastic material such as polyamide, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyurethane or from inorganic granules is also indicated. In addition to at least one air inlet opening 9, at least one air outlet opening 11 must be provided, which is covered with a sieve 12 or the like in order to retain the particles 8.
