The invention relates to a method of improving the heat insulation on frames (1) which are made up of heat-insulated composite profiles (2) for windows, doors or the like, the composite profiles (2) comprising two metal profiles (3, 4) which are held at a distance from one another and are connected to one another, with the formation of at least one inner chamber (6), via at least two mutually parallel insulating webs (5) arranged in grooves of the metal profiles (3, 4), and each inner chamber (6) exhibiting a heat-insulation material (7). In order to avoid the former difficulties, the invention proposes that the heat-insulating material (7), in particular in the form of small particles (8), be introduced at at least one point (9) into each inner chamber (6) of the composite profiles (2) only when the frame (1) has been ready-assembled. <IMAGE>
