- the two deflection rollers which deflect the upper and lower felt belt of the first (and possibly only) press unit after the press nip, are mounted so that they can be moved or moved in such a way that they can be removed from the plane in which the paper web runs during normal operation.

- the pipe suction device on the one hand reduces the rewetting of the paper web after passing through the first press nip, on the other hand it prevents the web from sticking to the bottom felt 4 and continuing to run with it. Upper felt 5 and web thus run out of the first press nip.
- the vacuum on the pipe suction device 9 is then switched off so that the web can lengthen after the double felted, first press unit.
