Definitions

  • the invention relates to a pencil sharpener with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the pointed body is fixed between the angular projections on the underside of the end wall of a closure cap covering a cylindrical chip collection container by frictional engagement.
  • the angular projections protruding inwards from the end wall of the closure cap each form-fit the corners of the pointed body, which has an approximately rectangular outline shape.
  • the angular configuration or position of the clamping surfaces of these projections serves for the exact positioning of the pointed body.
  • the frictional engagement between these projections and the pointed body is produced by a slight inclination of the surfaces of the projections forming the clamping surfaces relative to the clamping counter-surfaces on the pointed body, so that a light, wedge-like effective suit is produced when the pointed body is inserted between the projections.
  • the closure cap and the pointed body (5) are injection-molded from a comparatively high-quality material which is also dimensionally stable under pressure, generally from a plastic. Both parts are made of the same plastic to ensure a consistently high coefficient of friction.
  • This type of clamp fixation is expensive because of the restriction to the use of high-quality, generally the same plastics.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a fixation between the pointed body and the fixing wall, which is less complex in terms of its requirements for the material of the pointed body and fixing wall and allows easy assembly.
  • This solution makes it possible to use softer, more recyclable plastics for the production of the fixing wall without impairing the firm fixation of the pointed body.
  • the further advantage is that less valuable plastics or natural materials such as wood can be used for the pointed body, which are not able to meet dimensional tolerances as narrow as more valuable, harder plastics.
  • wood can also be used as the material for the pointed body (5).
  • Claim 5 can be realized particularly easily by using an elastic plastic.
  • Claim 6 increases the elasticity of the flap because the contact projection, which is also made of a more elastic material, is additionally slightly elastically deformable relative to the fixing wall.
  • Claim 7 provides two tabs that can be bent in the direction of the pointed body, which thereby cause double-sided clamping of the pointed body.
  • the pointed body which is generally equipped with a rectangular base, is framed by the wall protrusion and the lateral contact protrusions on three adjacent sides, while it is acted upon by the tabs on its fourth side.
  • the U-shaped framing with integrally formed on the free leg ends of the U tabs increases their elastic bendability in that the adjacent parts of the contact frame are also easily deformable in such a way that the parallel U-legs are easy when the tabs are bent Bend inwards and increase the fixing pressure exerted on the pointed body.
  • Claim 10 ensures the unhindered mobility of the tabs with respect to the fixing wall.
  • Claim 11 ensures that the pointed body lies snugly against the fixing wall and that the flexibility of the tabs is not impeded.
  • the pointed body carrier 1 shows a pointed body carrier 1 with a rectangular outer contour viewed in a height direction 2.
  • the pointed body carrier 1 lies in the plane formed by a longitudinal direction 3 and a transverse direction 4.
  • the pointed body carrier 1 holds a pointed body 5 in a fixed position and can be covered by a carrier cover, not shown here, in order to form a complete pencil sharpener 6.
  • the pointed body support 1 has a rectangular fixing wall 7 when viewed in the height direction 2.
  • a rectangular fixing frame 25 is formed on the fixing wall 7. It consists of a wall protrusion 8 running in the longitudinal direction 4 and three adjoining side walls 8 '. Its construction height extends in the height direction 2.
  • the outer contour of the fixing frame 25 is somewhat smaller than that of the fixing wall 7.
  • the height of the wall projection 8 is less than that of the side walls 8 '.
  • a contact projection 9 is formed in each case.
  • the contact projections 9 are made in one piece with the wall projection 8. They are L-shaped when viewed in the height direction 2 and, in their area, bring about an increased structural height of the wall projection 8 and the side walls 8 '.
  • the L-bottom of the contact projections 9 runs in the transverse direction 4.
  • a tab 10 is formed approximately in the central area of the surface half of the fixing wall 7 facing away from the contact projections 9. It is designed like a strip and extends with its long side inclined in the direction of the contact projections 9 with respect to the height direction 2. It is spring-biased in the direction of the contact projections 9 in order to be able to fix the pointed body. In the area of its deflecting end facing away from the fixing wall 7, the tab 10 is extended by a tab projection 11. The tab projection 11 is angled at an obtuse angle with respect to the remaining area of the tab 10.
  • the pointed body 5 is conical in shape in the transverse direction 4.
  • the pointed body 5 is shortened by the region of an imaginary cone tip in such a way that two pointed bodies 5 can be produced from a cuboid solid material. This saves material and costs in the manufacture of the pointed body 5.
  • a rectangular bottom surface 12 of the pointed body 5 faces the fixing wall 7.
  • a cover surface 13 of the pointed body 5 facing away from the fixing wall 7 and also of a rectangular design has cutouts for receiving two shaving knives 14.
  • the two shaving knives 14 are arranged next to one another in the transverse direction 4 and are each fixed to the pointed body 5 by a screw 15.
  • the rectangular side face of the pointed body 5, which is in the fixing position on the L base of the contact projections 9, has two circular guide openings 16, 17 for inserting a pin end to be pointed.
  • the guide opening 16 has a larger diameter than the guide opening 17.
  • the guide openings 16, 17 are tapered in the direction of the opposite side surface of the pointed body 5.
  • the pointed body 5 is displaced in FIG. 1 from its starting starting position in a joining direction 18 and lies in the final assembly position with its bottom surface 12 directly against the fixing wall 7.
  • the pretensioned tab in the direction of the contact protrusions 9 presses the pointed body 5 against the wall protrusion 8 and the L-bottom of the contact protrusions 9.
  • the tab protrusion 11 engages over the side edge of the pointed body 5 facing the tab 10 and extending in the transverse direction 4 as a captive device and is in contact with it the surface 13 adjacent space into it.
  • the tab projection 11 does not touch the top surface 13 in this case.
  • the tab projection 11 can also be bent and prestressed in the direction of the fixer wall 7 in such a way that the pointed body 5 in its fixing position also in Height direction 2 is pressurized. This results in an improved fixation of the pointed body 5.
  • the contact projections 9 can be slightly inclined in the transverse direction 4 so that they form a clamping connection for the side surfaces of the pointed body 5 which abut against them in the fixing position.
  • the extent of the pointed body 5 in the transverse direction 4 corresponds to the distance between the side walls 8 ′ running in the longitudinal direction 3, so that the pointed body 5 is also fixed in place in the transverse direction 4.
  • FIG. 2 A further embodiment of the tab 10 formed on the fixing wall 7 can be seen schematically in FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 2 it runs inclined with respect to the height direction 2 as in FIG. 1.
  • the tab projection 11 is bent at right angles to the fixing wall 7 at the deflecting end of the tab 10.
  • the tab projection 11 is preferably biased in the direction of the fixing wall 7.
  • the tab 10 can be designed to be elastically bendable in the longitudinal direction 3 in order to facilitate the assembly of the pointed body 5.
  • the pointed body 5 lies with its bottom surface 12 directly against the fixing wall 7.
  • the tab projection 11 pressurizes the area of the top surface 13 facing it.
  • the fixing wall 7, wall projection 8, side walls 8 'and contact projections 9 are constructed identically as in FIG. 1. Only the tab 10 with the tab projection 11 is not present. For this purpose, a tab 19, a tab projection 20 and an abutment projection 21 are integrally formed on one of the two side walls 8 'running in the longitudinal direction 3 in the area of the section IV. The three aforementioned components of section IV are explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 4.
  • the tab 19 is rectangular when viewed in the longitudinal direction 3. Their long sides extend in the height direction 2. With one long side, the tab 19 is integrally formed on the side wall 8 '. The tab 19 is not directly connected to the fixing wall 7.
  • the fixing wall 7 is pierced in the area of the tab 19 by a rectangular wall recess 22 viewed in the height direction 2.
  • the wall recess 22 surrounds the tab 19 and borders directly on the corner area between the side wall 8 'and the fixing wall 7. This results in an improved mobility and bendability of the tab 19 in the longitudinal direction 3 for fixing the pointed body 5. A greater pretension of the tab 19 is also possible.
  • the height of the tab 19 starting from the area of the wall recess 22 to the transition area to the tab projection 20 corresponds approximately to twice the height of the side wall 8 '.
  • the tab 19 is extended by the tab projection 20 as in FIG. 1. It is angled at an obtuse angle with respect to the rest of the area of the tab 19 and faces the contact projections 9 (FIG. 3, FIG. 5).
  • the tab projection 20 can be biased in the direction of the fixing wall 7 in such a way that it fixes the pointed body 5 in its fixing position under pressure.
  • the contact projection 21 is constructed in the height direction 2 approximately twice as high as the side wall 8 '. Seen in the transverse direction 4, the contact projection 21 forms a crenellated extension of the side wall 8 'with a rectangular outer contour. It is integrally formed on the side wall 8 '. The side edge of the contact projection 21 which faces away from the contact projections 9 and runs in the vertical direction 2 is connected in one piece to the side edge of the tab 19 which runs parallel thereto and is formed on the side wall 8 '. The contact projection 21 is only exceeded in the height direction 2 by the tab projection 20.
  • the structure of the pointed body carrier 1 in FIG. 5 corresponds essentially to that in FIG. 3.
  • the second side wall 8 ′ running in the longitudinal direction 3 there is also the same arrangement of the tab 19 that can be seen in FIG. 3, of the tab projection 20 and the contact projection 21 are integrally formed.
  • the pointed body carrier 1 is therefore constructed symmetrically with respect to an axis of symmetry running parallel to the longitudinal direction 3 and dividing the fixing wall 7 into two halves.
  • the structure of the pointed body carrier 1 in FIG. 6 corresponds to that in FIG. 5 with the exception of the contact projection 9 in the area of the section VII.
  • the structural design of the contact projection 9 in the area of the section VII is explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 7.
  • a partial surface 24 of the contact projection 9 lying in the plane formed by the height direction 2 and the transverse direction 4 is not directly connected to the wall projection 8 as in FIGS. 1 to 5. Instead, in this area the contact projection 9 and the wall projection 8 are separated from one another by a wall recess 23 which is rectangular in the longitudinal direction 3. The longitudinal side of the wall recess 23 extends in the transverse direction 4. The extension of the wall recess 23 in the transverse direction 4 corresponds approximately to the length of the L-bottom of the projecting projection 9, which runs in the same direction.
  • the partial surface 24 of the projecting projection 9 is separated from the wall projection 8 by the wall recess 23 in the longitudinal direction 3 improved elastically bendable. This facilitates the assembly and fixation of the pointed body 5.
  • the configurations of the tabs 19 and the contact projections 9 shown in FIGS. 1 to 7 ensure permanent fixation of the pointed body 5 within the pointed body carrier 1 even when softer and therefore more recyclable plastics are used.
  • the tabs 10, 19 and also the contact projections 9.21 and partial surfaces 24 can be elastically bent from their rest position.
