Definitions

  • EP 0 222 736 A2 discloses a bayonet closure for containers in which the bayonet claws provided on the closure part or cover are present with different circumferential angular distances and the circumferential angular distances of the associated bayonet recesses on the container connection are designed accordingly differently.
  • the design is of such a type that all bayonet claws must inevitably be brought into engagement with all bayonet recesses at the same time in order to be able to bring the closure part or the lid into the closure position relative to the container connection part.
  • One design works with threads as connecting elements between the closure part and the container connection part.
  • the other design uses a type of bayonet lock for mechanically connecting the closure part to the container connection part.
  • the closure part In the known safety closure of the latter type, in which the closure part receives its mechanical connection to the container connection part via a bayonet closure, the closure part has on its contact surface with the container connection part a radially open, circumferential groove and two equally wide axially parallel longitudinal grooves, the latter are arranged offset from one another with a circumferential angle of 180 °, that is to say they lie opposite one another on the circumference of the closure part.
  • the two axially parallel longitudinal grooves each start from opposite longitudinal edges of the radially open, circumferential groove and interact with two cams, which are located on the inner circumference or on the contact surface of the container connection part and point towards the container axis or radially inward, which are also around 180 ° are offset in the circumferential direction of the container connection part and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container connection part are arranged offset from one another at different heights.
  • the closure part and consequently also the connection piece (the dispensing head) for chemical containers with its wide grooves can be used in the container connection part of beverage containers with narrow grooves, so that there is still a considerable safety risk.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a system for safety locks of the known type acting in the manner of a bayonet lock, which enables a large number of safe combination pairs which are absolutely safe from confusion with one another, without this requiring special or additional production-related expenditure.
  • a further duplication of the incompatible combination pairs can be achieved according to the invention in that more than two pairs of cams and pairs of grooves are arranged on each container connection part and closure part.
  • the container connection part can be designed as a socket inserted into the lid or the upper end wall of the container, into which the actual closure part can be inserted in the manner of a stopper.
  • the cams, for. B. on the inner circumference of the socket in the circumferential direction have the same angular distance from each other as, for example, provided on the outer circumference of the plug axially parallel grooves.
  • the second cam Only when the socket and plug fit together or are compatible with each other, does the second cam reach the area of the first axial groove. Only in this case is it possible to give the stopper a second axial movement in which the second axial groove with the first cam and the first axial groove with the second cam then come into non-rotatable positive engagement.
  • the lower end of the closure part acting as a stopper then meets the elastic seal which is supported in a socket near the lower end of the container connection part designed as a socket. This is elastically deformed until the snap ring, which is elastically flexible in the radial direction, engages with the two corresponding circumferential grooves of the plug and socket, which can only be released again with the aid of a special tool. It is expedient if the snap ring is constantly seated in the circumferential groove of the stopper while it detachably springs into the circumferential groove of the stopper.
  • FIG. 1 of the drawing for example, a cylindrical container 1 is shown, which is provided in its cover 2, which forms the upper end wall, with a safety closure 3, which forms the actual container connection.
  • the safety closure 3 or the container connection has a container connection part 4 connected to the cover 2, with which a closure part 5 interacts in order to form the actual safety closure 3.
  • the closure part 5 has a radial circumferential groove 7, which is followed by an axially parallel groove 6 directed towards the outside of the container and an axially parallel groove 8 directed towards the inside of the container with the same depth.
  • closure part 5 is first inserted into the container connection part 4 and displaced with its axially parallel groove 8 by an axial movement over the outer cam 9 until it comes to rest on the outer edge of the radially open and circumferential groove 7. Since the radially open groove 7 has a wide dimension, which is larger than the axial width of the cam 9, the closure part 5 in the container connection part 4 can be rotated by the angle X1 until the axially parallel groove 8 is positioned over the further cam 19.
  • the closure part 5 can now be brought into the closed position by a further axial movement towards the inner part of the container.
  • the respective pairs of grooves 6, 9 and pairs of cams 8, 10 form a radial positive connection.
  • the seal 11 comes into operation and the snap ring 12 secures the closure part 5 against axial movement in the container connection part 4 to the outside.
  • the cams 9 and 10 have a radial width B, while the axially parallel grooves 6 and 8 are provided with a width A.
  • the width A of the axially parallel grooves 6 and 8 is approximately B + 1 mm.
  • Essential for a safety closure serving as a container connection is that the dimension X1 for the circumferential distances of the cams 9 and 10 and the grooves 6 and 8 from combination pair to combination pair is designed differently.
  • the dimension X1 can be a minimum of approximately 15 mm, while the dimension steps for X1 can be varied from combination pair to combination pair by approximately A / 2, that is to say by half the width A of the axially parallel grooves 6 and 8. It is expedient to provide both the container connection part 4 and the closure part 5 with a label 14 for the dimension X1 used in each case.
  • the container connection part 4 is designed as a socket inserted into the cover 2 or the upper end wall of the container 1, into which the actual closure part 5 can be inserted in the manner of a stopper.
  • the cams 9 and 10 on the inner circumference of the socket are at the same distance X1 from one another as the axially parallel grooves 6 and 8 provided on the outer circumference of the plug.
  • One of the two circumferential grooves 14 and 15 is located on the outer circumference of the stopper 5 and the other on the inner circumference of the stopper 4. It is expedient if the snap ring 12 is constantly seated in the circumferential groove 14 of the stopper 5 while it is - only by a special tool - detachably jumps into the circumferential groove 15 of the nozzle 4.

Abstract

Claims (4)
