Indeed, it is then sufficient to prepare holes in alignment without it being necessary for them to have rigorous spacing between them. A number of corresponding nails is placed in the slide, after which the nails are put in place by sliding in front of the corresponding pegs and the bar is driven in, thereby driving in the nails. - An object of the present invention is to provide a threshold bar with hidden fixing which is particularly simple to install and inexpensive to manufacture and which is suitable for masking the junction of coatings of different levels.
- the present invention provides a threshold bar consisting of an elongated profile, the lower part of which has two rigid ribs extending longitudinally and closing towards one another to define, between them and with a bottom part of the profile, one slide open in a lower longitudinal strip to allow the insertion by one end of the slide of a nail head.
- the nail head and the slide have in cross section complementary shapes such that said part and the upper surface of the head are in abutment along a longitudinal edge defining an axis of rotation and that the lateral portions of the head are guided by each of the faces interior of the ribs, this assembly leaving the nail a freedom of rotation about said axis.
- the lips facing the ribs are spaced apart by a distance greater than the diameter of the rod of the nail and said edge is defined by a protruding V from said bottom part or from the upper face of the head.
- the angle of the V is chosen so that, when the rod of the nail presses against one of the lips, there is simultaneously a support between one of the sides of the V and the opposite face of the bottom part or of the head of nail, respectively.
- each of the ribs extends substantially perpendicularly to the rear face of the profile before being curved in an arc of a circle towards the other rib, the lower part of the nail head having, in section, a circular shape complementary to that of said arcs of a circle.

- This head 20 has the shape of a half-cylinder perpendicular to the rod 21 of the nail and flattened on the side opposite to this rod.
- This half-cylinder forms a slide adapted to slide in the slide 18.
- This elongated shape of the slides 20 prevents rotation of the nail heads and therefore of the rods in a plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the slide. Thus, the rods cannot lie in the slide during the insertion phase.
