  • the side projecting portion 8a interferes with the wave on the actuator 1 or contacts the valleys of the wave, and cannot smoothly feed the carriage 4. Therefore, the resonant frequency of the main body 8b must not become equal to the driving frequency of the actuator 1.
  • the vibration frequency of the main body 8b is shifted from the resonance frequency, the vibration amplitude of the main body 8b is considerably large, and that of the side projecting portion 8a becomes large accordingly.
  • the vibration amplitude of the main body 8b is considerably large, and the phase delay is also large.
  • the vibration state of the side projecting portion 8a in this mode is as shown in Fig. 3.
  • the actual vibration state of the side projecting portion 8a is complicated since it corresponds to superposition of the components shown in Fig.
  • a mode for vibrating the side projecting portion 8a alone i.e., the components of a mode having a phase delay of almost 0° for the vibration of the actuator 1 (almost no phase delay occurs since the resonance frequency of the side projecting portion 8a is sufficiently large), as shown in Fig. 4.

  • the vibration amplitude of the main body 8b is small, and almost no phase delay occurs.

Therefore, when the temporal phase delay of the vibration of the main body 8b of the vibrating rail 8 with respect to the vibration of the actuator 1 is selected near 0°, the carriage 4 can be smoothly fed even when the main body 8b has a low rigidity.

  • the printing apparatus of the present invention only the two end portions of the vibrating rail are attached to the bottom plate to form a gap between the vibrating rail and the bottom plate, and a sheet is fed in the gap, thus providing a low-profile printer.
  • the driving frequency of the vibration driven actuator 1 is set to be different from the resonance frequency of the main body of the vibrating rail, the side projecting portion (actuator engaging portion) can follow the vibration of the actuator, and the carriage can be smoothly fed.
  • the side projecting portion can follow the vibration of the actuator even when the main body has a low rigidity.
  • the carriage can be smoothly fed.
  • the bases for supporting the vibrating rail and the guide rail are separated from these rails.
  • the vibrating rail and its support bases may be integrated, and the guide rail and its support bases may be integrated.
  • the sheet feeding actuators 2 and 3 comprise travelling wave driven actuators.

Claims (7)

  1. Druckgerät mit
    einem Grundplattenelement (10b, 10c);
    einer ersten Antriebseinrichtung (2, 3) zum Antreiben eines Aufzeichnungsmaterials (16) in einer ersten Richtung entlang einer vorbestimmten Zuführbahn;
    einem Schlitten (4) zum Stützen eines Aufzeichnungskopfes (13)
    einer zweiten Antriebseinrichtung (1, 8, 8') zum Antreiben des Schlittens (4), wodurch sich der Aufzeichnungskopf (13) in einer zweiten Richtung quer zu der ersten vorbestimmten Richtung bewegt, um einen Aufzeichnungsvorgang auf dem Aufzeichnungsmaterial (16) zu bewirken; und
    einer Führungseinrichtung (9) zum Aufrechterhalten der Bewegung des Schlittens (4) in der zweiten Richtung;
    wobei die zweite Antriebseinrichtung (1, 8, 8') ein Vibrationswellenbetätigungsglied (1) und eine Kontaktschiene (8, 8') umfaßt,
    wobei das Vibrationswellenbetätigungsglied (1) relativ zu der Kontaktschiene (8, 8') durch eine Vibration bewegbar ist, die durch das Vibrationswellenbetätigungsglied (1) bewirkt wird, und es mit dem Schlitten (4) verbunden ist,
    und wobei die Kontaktschiene (8, 8') feststehend gestützt wird, so daß sie sich derart über eine Zuführbahnfläche erstreckt, daß die Kontaktschiene (8, 8') mit einer vorbestimmten Entfernung von der Zuführbahn beabstandet ist, wodurch das Aufzeichnungsmaterial (16) in dem zwischen dem Grundplattenelement (10c) und der zweiten Antriebseinrichtung (1, 8, 8') gebildeten Raum bewegbar ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Kontaktschiene (8, 8') an Positionen gestützt ist, die seitlich über der Zuführbahnfläche auf dem Grundplattenelement (10c) sind, und sie über der Zuführbahnfläche in der vorbestimmten Entfernung von der Zuführbahn frei hängt, so daß sie die Zuführbahnfläche überbrückt.
  2. Druckgerät nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Führungseinrichtung (9) an jedem Ende auf Stützen (9a, 9b'), die auf dem Grundplattenelement (10b, 10c) montiert sind, an Positionen gestützt ist, die seitlich über der Zuführbahnfläche sind.
  3. Druckgerät nach Anspruch 1 oder Anspruch 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    das Vibrationswellenbetätigungsglied (1) ein schleifenförmiges elastisches Element (1a) mit zumindest einem geraden Abschnitt, der mit der Kontaktschiene (8, 8') in Kontakt steht, und ein elektromechanisches Energiewandelelement (1b) zum Erzeugen einer Wanderwelle in dem elastischen Element (1a) umfaßt.
  4. Druckgerät nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die erste Antriebseinrichtung (2, 3) ein Wanderwellenerzeugungselement umfaßt, das mit dem Aufzeichnungsmaterial (16) in Kontakt steht.
  5. Druckgerät nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Kontaktschiene (8, 8') so angepaßt ist, daß ihre Resonanzfrequenz von einer Antriebsfrequenz des Vibrationswellenbetätigungsgliedes (1) verschieden ist.
  6. Druckgerät nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Schlitten (4) mit Rollen (19, 20) versehen ist, die mit Spuren in der Kontaktschiene (8, 8') im Eingriff stehen, um die Stabilität des Schlittens während seiner Bewegung aufrecht zu erhalten.
  7. Druckgerät nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    eine zeitliche Phasenverzögerung der Vibration der Kontaktschiene (8, 8') gegenüber der Vibration des Vibrationswellenbetätigungsgliedes (1) im wesentlichen 0 Grad ist.
