Abstract

A handle 1 for operating windows, doors or the like, with a fastening plate, especially a bearing rose 2, is proposed, the fastening plate or bearing rose 2 having a basic body 3 and a cover cap 4, the basic body 3 on the one hand possessing a central bush 14, in which a grip 5 is rotatably mounted and attached so as to be axially fixed, the basic body 3 on the other hand allowing, via screws or the like passing through by way of the latter, a fastening, mainly to the wing 6 of the door or of the window or the like, and the cover cap 4 being arranged rotatably about the spindle of the grip neck 12 and serving for covering the fastening screws or the like, for which purpose it is supported resiliently on a shoulder 13 of the grip neck 12. It is essential, at the same time, that the cover cap 4 consists of a material of hard springiness, for example plastic or metal, and carries a bush 14, the axial height of which exceeds the material thickness of the cover cap 4 at the top and bottom, that the bush 14 forms, together with the grip neck 12 or structural parts surrounding the latter, a bearing shell, about which the cover cap 4 is mounted so as to be axially non-displaceable, but rotatable, between the shoulder or abutment face 13 of the grip neck 12 and the end face of the basic body 3, and that the cover cap 4 is capable of continuously being pressed axially against the basic body 3, by the shoulder or abutment face provided on the grip neck 12 for this purpose, under a prestress which can be generated by a predetermined, especially preformed inherent curvature or inherent arching. <IMAGE>

Kunststoff oder Metall, bestehtThe invention relates to a handle for operating windows, doors or the like. With a mounting plate, in particular a mounting rosette, this mounting plate consists of a base body which has a central bearing bush in which the handle is rotatably mounted and axially fixed and on the other hand penetrating screws or the like. An attachment, primarily on the wing of the door or window or the like. Permitted, and has a cover cap, which is also rotatably arranged about the axis of the handle neck and to cover the fastening screws or. The like. Serves, the cover cap is resiliently supported on a shoulder or abutment surface of the handle neck and the cover cap made of a spring-hard material, for example Plastic or metal

Handling of the aforementioned type for operating windows and doors or the like are known in various designs, as evidenced for example by EP-A1 0 406 566 and EP-A1 0 417 032.

In der EP-A1 0 417 032 wird eine Handhabe beschrieben, deren Abdeckkappe aus einem federharten Werkstoff besteht und die mit Federelementen versehen ist, welche aus zungenförmig unmittelbar aus der Ebene der Abdeckkappe hergestellten Materialabschnitten derselben gebildet sind sowie unter Vorspannung mit ihren freien Enden an einer Widerlagerfläche des Bedienungsgriffhalses anliegen.EP-A1 0 417 032 describes a handle whose cover cap consists of a spring-hard material and which is provided with spring elements which are formed from material sections of the same made of tongue-like material directly from the plane of the cover cap and below Bias with its free ends against an abutment surface of the operating handle neck.

A 39 35 074 proposes that at least one spring element for pressing the cover cap is formed in one piece with it or with the base body. EP-A 0 406 566 describes a type in which the pivotable cover cap is made in one piece with a spiral spring serving as a pressure element, the spiral spring being supported on a shoulder of the handle neck.

However, these known manipulations have various disadvantages. For example, they require high assembly and parts costs if cover caps and spring elements have to be manufactured, stored and handled separately. In addition, the spring elements - especially when they are manufactured in a unitary manner with the cover cap and / or the base body - are sensitive to excessive installation pressure. In such a case, the specified elasticity is lost, i.e. the operation of the cover cap is at least significantly impaired.

The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a handle for operating windows, doors or the like. Of the type specified at the outset, which requires only a few individual parts, but nevertheless, in a simple manner and without additional spring elements, an automatic, permanently rotationally secure fixing of the cover cap guaranteed in their covering position in front of the front of the base body. It should be possible to assemble the handle so that the deficiencies described do not occur and in particular an axial play of the handle mounting relative to the base body of the mounting plate or mounting rosette is prevented.

The invention fulfills these purposes with the characterizing features of claim 1 in such a way that the force required for pressing on the base plate is achieved by a curvature of the cover cap. The cover cap is supported with the end faces of the bushing, which is formed in one piece with it, both against the shoulder of the handle neck and against the end face of the base body and thereby prevents axial play of the handle bearing in the fastening plate or in a simple but effective manner. Bearing rosette. It is ensured on the one hand that the cover cap is pressed evenly against the base plate under the annular load. On the other hand, it is also achieved that the pressure forces are transmitted to a larger area both on the handle neck and on the cover cap. This reduces the risk that the spring force changes due to plastic deformation during transport or pretreatment. The shape of the bush also ensures that the cover cap can be easily rotated because the cap is guided centrally at all times. It is thus ensured that the covering cap with its peripheral edge also fits snugly or tightly at the places provided on the flat end face of the mounting plate or bearing rosette. In principle, it is also possible to design the handle neck in such a way that the section of the socket facing the handle neck disappears in a groove located in the handle neck. This minimizes the gap between the handle neck and cover plate, which promotes the aesthetics of the handle. Also, the (black) abrasion particles that are unavoidable due to the use of the handle will not leave any traces on the visible surfaces, since the surfaces rubbing against each other are hidden.

The design of the plastic cover cap has proven to be advantageous. Its properties make it possible to produce the curvature required to generate the prestressing, even with a small wall thickness of the cover cap, without great effort.

The exemplary embodiment of an operating handle for windows, doors or the like shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has as its main components a mounting plate or bearing rosette 2 and the operating handle 5 held on or in this. The mounting plate or bearing rosette 2 in turn has a base body 3 and a cover cap associated with its end face 4. About the base body 3 of the mounting plate or bearing rosette 2, the handle 1 can be attached in particular to the openable wing 6 of the window or the door, namely with the help of - not shown - screws, which are each passed through a through hole 7 of the base body 3.

Concentrically to each hole 7 in the base body 3, a cam or mandrel 8 protrudes from the rear side thereof, which engages in a frontally open bore 9 of the latter for positive locking of the base body 3 of the fastening plate 2 on the wing 6, as clearly shown in FIG. 2 you can see. The operating handle 5 has a shaft section 11 which is angled away from the actual handle shaft 10 against the fastening plate or bearing rosette 2 and to which a handle neck 12 is connected in one piece as a bearing part. The handle neck 12 has an abutment surface 13 facing the mounting plate or bearing rosette 2. The handle neck 12 at the free end of the shaft section 11 passes through a bearing bush 14, which is made from the rear of the base body 3 through a central hole 15 of one piece with the base body 3 and from whose end protruding bearing sleeve 16 is passed. With a support collar 17, the bearing bush 14 rests in a recess on the back of the base body 3, while the handle neck 12 of the operating handle 5, for example by flanging or compression 18, is axially fixed against the support collar 17 of the bearing bush 14. A drive pin 25 protrudes from the rear of the mounting plate or bearing rosette 2 or from its base body 3, which is fixed in the axial alignment with the handle neck 12 in the angled shaft section 11 of the operating handle 5 in a rotationally fixed manner.

The cover cap 4 of the mounting plate or mounting rosette 2 is provided in order to be able to cover the through holes 7 opening at the front of the base body 3 with a countersink for receiving the mounting screws when the handle 1 is attached to the window or the door, as soon as the Fastening screws for holding the base body 3 on the wing 6 have been used in the usual manner.

For this purpose, the cover cap 4 is rotatably arranged on the bearing sleeve 16 of the base body 3 concentrically to the longitudinal axis of the handle neck 12 on the operating handle 5. It has a round hole 19 which is matched to the diameter of the bearing sleeve 16 and which can be seen in particular in FIGS. 3 and 4. The cover cap 4 is matched in its outline shape to the outline shape of the base body 3 and is made of a spring-hard material, e.g. Plastic or metal. The cover plate 4 can be made from spring-hard plastic by injection molding in a mold.

The cover cap 4 preferably has the shape of a trough with a convex intrinsic curvature or curvature and has a peripheral rim 20 on its rear side. With the end edges of this rim 20, the cover cap 4 can be supported against the end face of the base body 3 which has just been formed as soon as the cover cap 4 and base body 3 are brought into a cover position of the same contour.

For the rotationally secure fixing of the cover cap 4 with respect to the base body 3 in its rotational position covering the through holes 7 or the screw heads accommodated in its recess, only certain transverse edge regions 24 of the rim 20 located on the rear side of the cover cap 4 come with correspondingly offset, for example beveled receptacles 21 on the base body 3 in positive engagement, as can be seen in FIG. 2 of the drawing.

For the purpose of automatic production of this positive engagement between the rim 20 of the cover cap 4 and the stepped peripheral edge 21 of the base body 3, the cover cap 4, which is made of spring-hard material, is in the edge region of its round hole 19 with one in the direction of the base plate 3 and in the direction of the handle neck 12 extending bushing 22 which, together with a predetermined, for example preformed, curvature of the covering cap 4 forms an axially elastic spring element as a whole. The bushing 22 is supported with the annular surface 23 under prestress on the abutment surface 13, which forms the transition between the angled shaft section 11 of the operating handle 5 and its handle neck 12.

As soon as the cover cap 4 with its outline shape assumes an exact cover position with respect to the outline shape of the base body 3, it acts as a whole as a spring element between the flat end face of the base body 3 and the shoulder or annular surface 23 forming the radial abutment surface of the handle neck 12. The end edges of the rearward-facing rim 20 come to rest fully and tightly along the circumferential edge of the base body 3 on its flat end face, while only the noses or the like present on the two transverse edge regions of the edge rim 20 as edge projections 24 in the associated edge incisions 21 on the shorter peripheral edges of the base body 3 engage in order to ensure that the form-locking means of the cap 4 are secured against rotation.

The distance between the abutment surface 13 on the angled shaft section 10 of the operating handle 5 and the end face of the cover cap 4 corresponds to the height of the socket 22. It is dimensioned in the fixing position on the base body 3 so that the cover cap 4 by hand against it due to the curvature inherent own spring action can be raised elastically at least in the region of their short transverse edges, to the extent that the edge projections or lugs 24 of their edge flange 20 disengage from the edge incisions or receptacles 21 of the base body 3. The edge projections or lugs 24 have the additional task of being able to apply and transmit the hand forces required for lifting over a larger area and thus better. After lifting of the transverse edges, the cover cap 4 can be rotated around the bearing bush 16 of the base body 3 from the cover position according to FIG. 1, for example by 90 °, so that the recesses in the through holes 7 and thus the countersunk heads of the fastening screws are exposed. This means that the screw heads are accessible for operation with a screwdriver.
