Description

The invention relates to a rod guide of a rod lock of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1. Such a rod guide is known from German utility model 7 621 270.

In this known rod guide, a screw is arranged in a hole in the door leaf so that its head rests on the visible side of the door leaf, and is preferably welded to it on the inside by spot welding. The screw head visible from the outside affects the visual appearance of the door leaf. In addition, even with spot welding, the relatively thin door panel can warp and the welding heat can also lead to visual changes in the door painting, so that either the welding is carried out before painting the door leaf, which is difficult in the area of the screw head, or a door that has already been painted must be reworked .

If, according to an example of the cited document, the drive rod is guided in a radial breakthrough near the shaft end of the screw, inaccuracies in the axial alignment of the rod and breakthrough axes can be moved back and forth as a result of lever forces of the screw shaft occurring due to increased one-sided friction between the rod and the breakthrough are, at least the breakthrough fades, but also the door panel in the area of the screw head can be deformed.

However, even if, according to a further example, the opening is arranged in a guide part which can be screwed into an axial bore with an internal thread in the screw shaft, the disadvantages described occur. In this case, the thread of a plastic guide part can also be destroyed and thus break out.

The invention is therefore based on the object to design the rod guide so that the visual appearance of the door leaf is improved, damage to the door leaf that occurs as a result of welding the bolt no longer occur and damage to the door leaf and the rod guide itself largely caused during operation of the closure due to inaccuracies are avoided.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. The invention makes use of the stud welding known in welding technology, in which no markings occur on the back of the sheet metal. The melt residues that still occur in the area of the stud welding (welding edges) can be covered by the plastic block. The widened foot part of the plastic block largely compensates for lever forces that occur during operation of the closure, so that the sheet cannot be deformed. Due to the certain flexibility of the material, the block's contact with the door panel is ensured on all sides even if the bolt is not welded absolutely perpendicular to the plane of the door's inner surface or the inner surface in the area of the weld is not exactly in the plane of the door leaf. If, according to a development of the invention, the foot part has an undercut to form a resilient foot edge, damage in the area of the fastening between the bolt and the plastic block is also avoided.

If the bolt has an external thread and the plastic block is a metal part with an internal thread, in particular a sheet metal nut, there is yet another advantage that the opening of the plastic block, which can then be screwed on like a nut, can be brought into the rod axis more easily, which is up to 90 degrees amount of unscrewing from the actual optimal position may require, without the plastic block on the door leaf being too tight. The resilient edge compensates for any given tolerances. The metal part creates a particularly stable internal thread.

Similar advantages also result in an embodiment in which a bolt is used which, at its free end, merges into a head which forms an annular shoulder, while the plastic block has a cavity for receiving the bolt head, into which at least one resilient one is located at the cavity outlet mouth The nose part protrudes in such a way that it snaps into place behind the ring shoulder when the rod guide is attached to the bolt. This embodiment also enables a considerable simplification of the assembly, because it is no longer necessary to screw, but only has to be plugged on.

Instead of just one nose part, it is best to provide two opposite nose parts, possibly also other nose parts. In order to make it easier to attach, it is also advantageous to design the head to taper outwards.

According to a still further embodiment, in which a bolt with teeth, e.g. B. thread, the plastic block could have a cavity for receiving the bolt, in which several, preferably two, embedded in the plastic opposite, spring-like metal strips protrude so obliquely inwards that they engage in the teeth when the rod guide is attached.

The plastic block could also have a truncated cone on its side facing the door leaf, which is supported in a ring with a corresponding conical inner surface, which is supported on the door leaf.

This training enables a further tolerance compensation between the breakthrough and rod axes. It could also be axial Guide the breakthrough serving the rod have a goblet-like enlargement towards its mouths. In addition to a further tolerance compensation between the axes mentioned, this is also advantageous if the drive rods of the drive rod lock are pivoted somewhat during the actuation of the lock, which is the case with many rod locks.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the opening in the plastic block has a rectangular extension, the cross section of which corresponds to that of the rod end, optionally with an impeller. This feature makes assembly easier because the plastic block on the bolt can be rotated and then the rod, including the impeller if necessary, is inserted laterally into the opening from the right or left, and then the rod with the plastic block back up or down into the Installation position can be pivoted. The rod guide can twist around its bolts without the connection loosening in an undesired manner.

In Fig. 1, a conventional rod lock fastened to a door leaf 16 is shown, consisting of a locking mechanism 10 which can be actuated via an actuating square 20 projecting from the locking mechanism and from which two drive rods 28, 30 extend downwards or upwards . The drive rods 28, 30 preferably have a round cross section and extend approximately to the upper or lower end 32 of the door leaf 16, see FIG. 2, in order to engage there with a nose or web 34 of the door housing 36 when the door is closed. The lower end of the drive rod 28 also has an idler roller 38 which is intended to facilitate the closing of the door. The drive rod 28 is guided near the end of the door leaf 16 by a rod guide 40, which will be explained in more detail below in various embodiments.

To open or close the rod lock, the actuating square 20 is rotated, as a result of which not only a locking bolt moves out and in of the locking mechanism 10, but also the drive rods 28 and 30 are displaced in the axial direction. For example, when the door is closed, the rod 28 according to FIG. 2 is moved downward and the idler roller 38 is pushed over the web 34, as a result of which an inwardly jumping edge of the door leaf 16 presses against the frame.

The rod guide 40 shown in detail in FIG. 2 consists of a block 46 made of plastic, which has an opening 48 for the drive rod 28, which here has a round cross section and is intended to guide round rods. Of course, you will be in the case of rods with a different cross section, for. B. rectangular cross section, give the breakthrough a corresponding cross section. It is expedient to choose the diameter (or the cross-sectional side length in the case of, for example, a square rod) of the opening 48 approximately equal to the diameter (or the cross-sectional side length) of the drive rod 28, but to expand the diameter (cross-sectional side length) as it is can be clearly seen in FIGS. 2 and 3b. This goblet-like extension, which bears the reference number 50, allows the drive rod 28 to have a limited pivoting movement within the guide formed by the opening 48, as a result of which great friction or jamming is reliably prevented without having to accept a greater play, even when the drive rod 28 is skewed.

The block 46 is rectangular or square in the area of the opening 48, in particular its head part 52, with rounded edges. In contrast to the head part 52, the foot part 54, with which the block 46 rests on the inner surface 56 of the door leaf 16, on the other hand is round in cross section, which enables better tilting moment support, see FIG. 3a. The foot part 54 has a cylindrical cavity 58, into which an internal thread is cast, cut or pressed, or into which a threaded bushing can also be molded during its manufacture. According to FIG. 2, a nut-like part 60 (see FIG. 5) is provided, which can be inserted into a corresponding radial opening in the block 46. This embodiment is particularly efficient to produce and stable. By means of the internal thread 62 of the metal part 60 or the threaded bush or the thread cavity in the foot part 54, the Screw block 46 onto a bolt 64 with an external thread, which in turn is welded onto the inner surface 56 of the door leaf 60 by means of bolt welding technology, the area liquefied during the welding (see the surface marked black marked 66) not penetrating the wall thickness of the door leaf 16, so that a deformation and discoloration of the outer surface of the door leaf does not occur. The welding bolt 64 can thus also be fastened, for example, after painting the door leaf 16 by means of the bolt welding method, and then the block 46 can be screwed or plugged on to form the rod guide 40.

According to FIG. 2, the foot part 54 has an undercut 68, as a result of which the foot edge 70 receives a certain spring effect. This facilitates the alignment of the block 46, which acts like a nut, in such a way that the opening 48 can be set exactly axially to the rod 28, without the block 46 lying too loosely or too tightly on the inner surface of the door. In addition, the undercut 68 also allows all-round contact with the inner surface 56 if welding material residues hinder a flat contact during welding around the base of the welding stud.

On the other hand, the plastic material itself has a certain flexibility, so that u. U. The undercut 68 can also be omitted, as shown for example in FIG. 6a.

Alternativ kann der Querschnitt dieser rechteckigen Erweiterung 72 auch so groß gewählt werden, daß sogar das Auflaufrad 38 hindurch geschoben werden kann, so daß das Auflaufrad nicht nachträglich montiert werden muß.4a, 4b and 4c a similar embodiment is shown, but the opening 48 is shaped differently, so that a somewhat flattened rod 28 can be pushed through without difficulty for the purpose of better attachment of the idler roller 38. A rectangular extension 72 is used for this purpose, the dimensions of which correspond to those of the cross section of the flattened end of the rod 28 (not shown). Alternatively, the cross-section of this rectangular extension 72 can also be chosen so large that even the impeller 38 can be pushed through it, so that the impeller does not have to be installed subsequently.

The rod guide 40 can also be attached to a bolt in another way, as shown in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8. In FIG. 6a, in a representation that corresponds to FIG. 2, a rod guide 40 can be seen which cannot be screwed onto a bolt 164, but rather can be plugged on. For this purpose, the bolt 164 is not provided with a thread, but instead has an annular groove 76 at its free end, so that a head 78 with shoulders 80 is formed. The block 46 in turn has a cavity 158 for receiving the bolt head 78 and at the cavity opening opposite nose parts 74 which protrude into this cavity 158 so resiliently that they come to rest behind the ring shoulder 80 when the rod guide 40 is plugged onto the bolt 164, such as it can be seen in Fig. 6a. The spring action for the lugs 74 can be produced in that these lugs 74 are formed on a web 82 which is produced by a U-shaped incision 84 in the rear region of the cavity 158 in the wall of the block 46 delimiting this region.

In the teeth formed by this thread 86 now engage when plugging the block 46 spring-like in the plastic of the block 46 opposite embedded metal sheet strips 88, which are injected into the plastic so that they protrude into the cavity 258 so that they protrude Place the block 46 on the bolt 264 in a barb-like manner in the teeth 86 and thereby prevent the block 46 from sliding off the bolt 264 again.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 8, the rod guide 40 forms a truncated cone 90 on its side facing the inner door surface 56, which is supported in a ring 92 with a correspondingly conical inner surface 94, which in turn is supported on the inner surface 56 of the door leaf 60. The truncated cone 90 has a hollow 358, which can be designed similarly to the embodiment of FIG. 2, but in particular contains a cast-in, cut-in or pressed-in internal thread or an injected threaded bushing.
