Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor or terrace drain according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the receiving recess of the cover ring is eccentric to the central axis of the cover ring in a first embodiment, so that the center of the grate frame can be moved along a circle with the radius of the eccentricity around the central axis of the cover ring. If a floor covering made of plates or tiles is introduced to the drain installed in the floor, the grate frame can only be inserted exactly in a corner between the tile edges if the tile edges affect the movement circle of the center of the grate frame with a distance that is half the width of the grate frame corresponds exactly.
  • the center of the grate frame is additionally offset by the same eccentricity relative to the central axis of the pipe socket, so that the center of the grate frame can be displaced within the entire area of the aforementioned movement circle.
  • a high outlay in terms of shape is required when manufacturing the components of the drain.
  • the manipulation in the exact setting of the center of the grate frame is tedious because two rotating bodies have to be rotated relative to one another by which the lower one is difficult to access and unfavorable to take and because of the necessary fit between the individual components, relatively high rotational resistances have to be overcome.
  • each rotation of the grate frame made to adjust the center of the grate frame in turn changes the orientation of the grate frame circumferential edges relative to the tile edges or joints, relative rotational movements have to be continuously corrected. It is therefore to be feared that the floor installer will soon give up his efforts to correctly adjust the center of the grate frame and only make a rough adjustment before he finely adjusts the grate frame by means of intermediate strips of the floor slabs or tiles produced at the installation site.
  • the invention has for its object to improve a terrace or floor drain of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be produced with less effort in terms of shape and is much easier to handle when fine-tuning the grate frame.
  • the center of the grate frame is shifted from an exactly central position by the transverse displacement along the sliding track only to one side of the central axis of the cover ring. Only a relatively short sliding track is required because the displacement of the center of the grate frame in the direction of rotation about the central axis of the cover ring is set by the rotary movement of the cover ring itself.
  • the dimension that can be gathered from claim 3 has proven to be sufficient with which the joint or edge layers of tiles or floor slabs that occur in most installation cases can be covered in such a way that the grate frame exactly at the angle of at least two tiles abutting at 90 ° - or base plate edges can be fitted.
  • the socket also creates a structural separation between the rotating area of the pipe socket of the grate frame and the cover ring, so that a tight fit or a possibly higher rotational resistance of either of the components mentioned can be easily overcome.
  • a form-technically easy to control, easy to assemble and easy to use embodiment is also apparent from claim 6.
  • the mounting of the socket in the cover ring is simple in the embodiment according to claim 7. It also ensures that the holder cannot be accidentally removed from the cover ring.
  • the embodiment of claim 8 is also important because the top flange always covers the opening, so that no screed material or no binding material for tile or floor slabs gets inside the drain.
  • the embodiment of claim 9 is also expedient because the pipe socket only needs to be inserted into the socket.
  • the embodiment according to claim 10 is expedient so that the pipe socket with the grate frame cannot be lost or cannot be pulled out completely by mistake.
  • the latch is also easy to assemble.
  • the embodiment of claim 11 is expedient.
  • the leakage channels also allow liquid leaking past the edge of the grate frame to be led directly into the drain.
  • a terrace or floor drain A with FIGS. 1 to 5 consists of a drain body K installed in a prepared opening in the floor B, a cover ring R inserted at the top, a socket G, a slide guide S being provided in the cover ring R for the socket G, a grate frame T and a grate C.
  • the drain body K is installed with an overhead collar 1 in a recess in the bottom B so that the collar 1 is either flush or slightly lower. Then a screed layer or an insulating layer G is laid inwards reaching over the edge of the collar 1 before a floor covering in the form of floor slabs or tiles F is applied with a binder layer and is finally laid up to the grate frame T.
  • the drain body K has an inlet funnel 2 to a drain nozzle 3 with a nominal width W leading downwards.
  • the central axis of the drain connector 3 is designated 4.
  • a cylindrical and concentric to the central axis 4 receiving recess 5 is formed, in which the cover ring R is rotatable and is seated such that its top 7 is approximately flush with the top of the collar 1.
  • the sliding track S in the cover ring R extends transversely to the central axis 4.
  • the cover ring R has a continuous opening 9 below the sliding track S, which is delimited by a wall 8 hanging downwards.
  • a hanging outer wall 6 of the cover ring R holds with a swivel seat.
  • the sliding track S which is arranged sunk relative to the upper side 7, is delimited by side walls 10 and a flat bottom 11.
  • the sliding track S is open towards the collar 1 in FIG. 1.
  • the socket G is guided in a straight line.
  • the socket G has an upper side flange 12 which is approximately flush with the upper side 7 and comprises a circular opening 14 which is delimited by a hanging wall 13.
  • the lower edge of the inner wall 8 is pulled upwards at 20 '(FIG. 3 and FIG. 5) along two longitudinal regions in order to snap the socket G in with two inwardly resilient latching tongues 21 (FIG. 5) and to fix it against lifting upwards.
  • the hanging wall 13 of the socket G is equipped with the locking lugs 21, which are locked behind the edges 20 '( Figure 5).
  • the sliding track S has two parallel, straight sides 23 (FIG. 2) which are connected to one another by arcuate sides 24.
  • the top flange 12 of the socket G has the same shape with straight sides 27 and arcuate sides 26 connecting them.
  • the length of the top flange 12 in the direction of displacement between the sides 26 is shorter than the corresponding length between the sides 24 of the sliding track S.
  • the top flange 12 fits exactly into the sliding track S.
  • the socket G has a central circular opening 14 which is surrounded by a hanging wall 13 which ends with an undercut edge 20 which is at a distance above the bottom of the receiving recess 5.
  • the grate frame T has the actual grate frame 17 formed as a rectangle or square, the geometric center of which lies with the central axis, designated 22, of a pipe socket 15 which continues the grate frame 17 downward via a support shoulder 16.
  • a plurality of vertical ribs 18 are formed in the circumferential direction, which abut the inside in the circular opening 14 with frictional engagement.
  • several inwardly resilient locking tongues 19 are provided in the circumferential direction, which engage behind the edge 20.
  • the grate frame T can be rotated as desired about its central axis 22 in the circular opening 14 and additionally pulled up out of the socket G up to the stop of the latching tongues 19 at the edge 20 ( Figure 1 T ').
  • the width of the opening 9 seen in the sliding direction of the socket G in the sliding track S is larger by a dimension X than the outer diameter of the inner wall 13.
  • the opening 9 is further positioned so that the socket G from the central position shown in FIG. in which the central axis 4 coincides with the central axis 22, in Figure 1 to the left into the end position shown in Figure 3 is continuously displaceable. However, it is also possible to further develop the opening 9, so that the socket G can be moved linearly from the central position to both sides.
  • the grate C is removably inserted into the grate frame 17.
  • the free edges F1 and F2 of the floor panels or tiles F have a position in which the outer contour of the actual grate frame 17 fits exactly into the formed angle of the edges F1, F2 when the socket G is shown in Figure 1, right and centric sliding position. If the edge F 1 in FIG. 2 was further to the left, then the socket G in the sliding track S would have to be shifted to the left accordingly. If the edge F2 in Figure 2 were moved upward, then the cover ring R would also have to be rotated so far that the grate frame 17 fits exactly into the angle of the two edges F1 and without the use of intermediate strips a clean connection or one clean grouting is feasible.
  • drain body K When installing drain A, drain body K is first fixed in the floor. A locking ring 28 is then introduced into the collar 1, which, if necessary, clamps the barrier layer E in a sealing manner and also fixes the previously used cover ring R against lifting out. If a hardening sealing compound is used as the screed E, it is applied in a thin layer over the flange 1 to the edge of the receiving recess 5. After the sealing compound has hardened, the cover ring R is inserted with the displaceable socket G and secured in position with the fitted circlip 28, the locking ring 28 simultaneously fixing the sealing compound. When laying the floor slabs or tiles F, the grate frame T can then be rotated as desired, moved with the socket G in the sliding track S and also adjusted by rotating the cover ring R.
