Definitions
- the present invention relates to a drain fitting for shower basins according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Drain fittings of this type have a housing which is attached at the bottom to a drain opening of the shower tray with a clamping ring attached from above.
- a fixed drain pipe protrudes into a storage space in the housing as an immersion pipe for an odor trap.
- the inlet opening is covered by a flat, arched plate, which plate is supported with radial webs at the edge area of the inlet opening at a certain distance, so that the water can run in all around.
- the cover plate with its radial webs is only connected to the inlet edge of the housing by a latching mechanism, which is released when it bumps, in a further known drain fitting for a shower tray (DE-40 00 104), thereby preventing a risk of injury becomes.
- a further known drain fitting for a shower tray DE-40 00 104
- the inlet mouth always remains under the plate at the level of the bottom of the shower tray, so that the water always runs off completely.
- a drain and overflow device for sanitary furnishings (DE-U 19 56 597) with a valve body that can be clamped in the drain opening of the basin and has a funnel-shaped inlet mouth that follows continues below in the form of a fixed standpipe, which is U-shaped as a siphon for an odor trap.
- the fixed tube takes out a standpipe, which is adjustable in an extremely lower position, with its mouth below the mouth of the valve body, and which is extendable so that its mouth is, for example, at a height of 10 cm and thus there is the possibility to set a corresponding water level in the pool.
- a fitting is less suitable for shower basins, since the inlet mouth of the fixed pipe is not covered by a tread-resistant plate, but a protruding pull button is located there, which can cause injuries if it occurs.
- the object of the invention is to design a tread-resistant drain fitting suitable for shower basins in such a way that it not only enables the complete drainage above the floor but also the setting of a water level in the basin.
- the curved plate suitable for stepping is connected to a standpipe which is telescopically mounted in a fixed immersion pipe.
- a standpipe which is telescopically mounted in a fixed immersion pipe.
- the curved plate is held firmly by its radially supporting webs.
- the arched plate is mounted in a rubber ring, which is held by a fixed ring supported by the radial webs. Despite the tread-resistant bracket, the plate can deflect elastically downwards or to the side when a person slips and hits the plate, so that the risk of injury is prevented.
- a clamping ring is provided for fastening the fitting in the drain opening of the tub, with an external thread on which the housing of the fitting can be screwed on at the bottom, and with an internal thread for screwing in the fixed drain pipe.
- the fitting according to FIGS. 1 and 2 is intended for shower basins (shower cups), a bottom 1 of the shower cup being recognizable on FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the fitting is mounted in an opening on the bottom, a cylindrical housing 10 made of plastic being located below the bottom.
- This housing has a radial drain pipe 11, which is connected to the on-site sewage pipe.
- the housing is closed at the top by a cover 13.
- the interior of the housing is divided into a storage space 12a and a segment-shaped drainage space, from which the radial drainage neck 11 or the axial drainage neck 18 (FIG. 2) continues, by means of a molded-on, flat storage wall 12.
- the water level remains as indicated in the drawing. If the water continues to rise, it runs over the dam wall 12 into the drainage space.
- the housing is held by means of a clamping ring 15 on the bottom 1 of the shower cup.
- the clamping part is inserted with its cylindrical part into the bottom opening and screwed into an internal thread of the opening in the housing 10 with an external thread.
- a collar of the clamping ring 15 lies against a funnel-shaped part of the bottom 1.
- the housing is sealed at the bottom by means of a rubber ring 14 which is received by a groove.
- the rubber ring lies at the bottom of the shower cup.
- a dip tube 16 protrudes into the storage space 12a. This has a fixed position and is screwed with an external thread into an internal thread of the clamping ring 15. The sealing of these parts is effected by a sealing ring 16a.
- At the top of the dip tube is a collar-shaped extension which rests on the collar of the clamping ring in such a way that a flat funnel-shaped inlet surface is formed.
- a standpipe 20 is slidably inserted into the dip tube 16, approximately the same length as the dip tube. To the extent that the representation on FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 takes place with fully drawn lines, the standpipe has its extreme lower position. The upper edge of the standpipe is lower than the inlet surface formed by the clamping ring. Below the dip tube 16, the standpipe protrudes only slightly, openings 21 being formed for the flow of water through the standpipe. The upper part of the standpipe is sealed off from the immersion pipe by a sealing ring 17. The standpipe is extendable up to the position shown in dashed lines in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the standpipe is guided once by a collar 20a formed on the bottom of the standpipe 20 and at the top by a correspondingly shaped collar on the pitot tube. There is some space between the two tubes.
- the guide is such that the standpipe stops in any position due to friction. The extreme upper position is limited by the stop of collar 20a on the upper collar of the dip tube.
- the upper edge of the standpipe determines the water level, e.g. B. the recognizable in Fig. 1 high water level 2. In the extreme low position of the standpipe, the water runs directly from the bottom of the shower cup into the fitting.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- zeigt einen lotrechten Schnitt durch eine eingebaute Ablaufarmatur nach der Erfindung mit einem seitlichen Ablaufstutzen;
