Definitions
- the invention relates to new means for stimulating the
- Plant growth and development especially to increase the yield of agricultural crops.
- phytohormones but also various chemical compounds, control or influence the metabolism and growth of plants.
- a wide variety of processes and reactions can be induced depending on the stage of development of the plants, the type of application, the time of application, the concentration and the form of preparation of the active ingredient, which results in a variety of possible uses.
- Attempts are increasingly being made to increase biomass production or increase yield by stimulating various metabolic processes with substances applied exogenously to the plant-soil system.
- Mixtalol a mixture of long-chain aliphatic alcohols
- Rice, wheat, cotton, potatoes, sugar cane, etc. causes (technical information Mixtalol - PARAS
- brassinosteroids have been intensively investigated as a new phytohormone. As a result of this work, various possibilities could be found where, through the application of such compounds, an increased biomass production alongside other growth regulatory effects can be seen (G. ADAM and V. MARQUARDT, Phytochemistry 25 (1986), 1787-1799). In addition, brassinosteroids contribute to increasing the salt tolerance of useful plants in salted locations (K. HAMADA, FTC Book Series 1986, 188).
- umbelliferone derivatives possibly also in combination with micronutrients, is used to achieve an increase in yield, among other things. described in sunflowers, soybeans, winter wheat and maize (WO 86/05069). A method should also be mentioned in which increased biomass production in cereals, cotton and sugar beet is observed when 3-methylpyrazole, 4-fluoro-3-methylpyrazole and 4-chloro-3-methylpyrazole are applied to the soil
- a disadvantage of a broad use of the agents listed here is the inadequate reproducibility of the results under practical conditions, their relatively complicated accessibility in the synthesis and the toxicological concern that is sometimes present.
- some pyrazole derivatives, e.g. the 3-methylpyrazole application problems due to their relatively high volatility. This disadvantage is so serious that the effectiveness is particularly limited by spreading over the ground.
- agents which contain at least one compound or an acid addition product of the general formula I and / or formula II
- R represents hydrogen or alkyl
- R ' is an aryl radical, which may also be substituted, an amino group which is either unsubstituted or whose hydrogen atoms are independently substituted by alkyl, alkylene, aryl or substituted
- X represents either O, S, NH or H 2 ,
- Me represents a metal cation and preferably for Mg, Ca,
- Agents with a content of are particularly important for increasing biomass production
- the agents according to the invention are preferably applied over the soil or, if appropriate, develop their biological effectiveness through seed treatment. It is noteworthy that they develop their growth-stimulating effect even when increased amounts of inorganic salts or compounds, such as e.g. Urea are contained, which can be converted by degradation, in this case to ammonium salts. From an agricultural perspective, mineral nitrogen fertilizers based on ammonium are important.
- the agents according to the invention lead to positive growth flow and not only contribute to an increase in yield, but also help to alleviate yield and biomass production depressions in the event of increased salt pollution in the soil.
- the agents according to the invention ensure a higher activity than triacontol, brassinosteroids, umbelliferone derivatives and volatile pyrazole derivatives such as e.g. 3-methylpyrazole, the latter having no effect under salt stress conditions.
- agents according to the invention are expediently used in the customary preparation or application forms, such as solutions, emulsions, suspensions, concentrates, microcapsules, granules, etc., which, with the addition of liquid and / or solid carriers or diluents, usually with the addition of surface-active substances and other formulations have been prepared and can be diluted with water for use.
- the application rate of the respective nitrogen form, which can be seen in Tables 3 ... 9, and the application rate of the agents according to the invention, which can also be seen in Tables 3 ... 9, were mixed into the upper layer of the soil of a sandy loam soil filled in planters and set to 50% of the maximum water capacity .
- the tubes were covered with polyethylene film to protect them from drying out and to avoid volatile N losses and incubated for 22 days at 27 ° C. Before the appropriate crops are sown, the vessels are thoroughly watered. After various growth times which depend on the cultures and can be found in Tables 3 ... 9, the plants were cut on the vessel line and the increase in mass was determined as dry weight.
- Vessels treated according to the aforementioned conditions were used as controls without the addition of the agents according to the invention.
- wheat seed (Triticum aestivum) of the "Hatri” variety was treated with the agent according to the invention and cultivated in pure quartz sand with 0.2% NaCl addition in a climatic room at 20 ° C.
- 20 nl of KNOPscher nutrient solution was added to each test vessel. The evaluation was carried out after 26 days. Sprout and root dry matter served as criteria for the evaluation (Tab. 10).
- Nitrogen form ammonium sulfate
- Nitrogen form ammonium sulfate nitrogen expenditure: 140 kg / ha
- Nitrogen form ammonium sulfate
