Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verpackung für ein Knäuel, insbesondere ein Geschenkbandknäuel.
  • Es ist seit langem bekannt, Bänder, Faden und dergleichen in Form von aufgewickelten Knäuels zu vertreiben. Derartige Bandknäuels sind in der Regel in der Mitte hohl und weisen an zwei gegenüberliegenden Seiten, die als Kopf- und Fußabschnitt bezeichnet werden können, Abflachungen auf, während sie zwischen diesen Abflachungen eine bauchige Form aufweisen. Ein Bandende des Knäuels liegt im Inneren, während das andere Bandende an der äußeren Oberfläche des Knäuels mit einem entsprechenden Klebezettel fixiert ist. Um nun ein unbeabsichtigtes Abwickeln des Bandes vom Knäuel zu verhindern, ist es üblich, derartige Knäuels mit einer Umverpackung zu schützen. Hierzu werden die Bandknäuels bislang in Polyäthylen oder Polypropylenfolien eingeschweißt. Diese Folien haben die früher auch weitverbreiteten PVC-Folien zwischenzeitlich weitgehend verdrängt.
  • Ein Einschweißen der Bandknäuels in derartige Folien hat den Nachteil, daß beim Endverbraucher zusätzliche Abfälle entstehen. Darüber hinaus ist es nachteilig, daß nach Entfernen der Umverpackung aus Polyäthylen oder Polypropylen das Knäuel, das ja in der Regel vom Verbraucher nicht auf einmal aufgebraucht wird, ungeschützt ist und sich leicht von selbst abwickeln kann.
  • Eine Verpackung mit des räumlichen Ausbildung gemäß den Merkmalen des ersten Teils des Anspruchs 1 jedoch für Fluischstücke u.ä. ist aus FR-A-2 329 521 bekannt.
  • Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es daher, eine Verpackung für ein Bandknäuel der eingangs angegebenen Art an die Hand zu geben, welche bis zum vollständigen Abwickeln des Bandes dieses umgibt und dadurch vor einem unbeabsichtigten Abwickeln schützt.
  • Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst.
  • Gemäß einer vorteilhaften Ausbildung der Erfindung ist einer der beiden Seitenabschnitte zweigeteilt, so daß der flexible Streifen nach entsprechendem Zusammenfügen dieser Teile des Seitenabschnitts bereits die fertige Verpackung bildet. Die Teile des Seitenabschnitts können einfach miteinander verklebt werden oder aber durch entsprechende seitliche Schlitze innerhalb des Streifens zusammengesteckt werden. Der Kopf- und/oder Fußabschnitt sind in vorteilhafter Weise an den Knäueldurchmesser im oberen und unteren Bereich, das heißt in den Bereichen der entsprechenden Knäuelabflachungen angepaßt. So können diese beiden Abschnitte im wesentlichen eine runde Kontur oder aber auch eine mehreckige Kontur aufweisen.
  • Der Kopf- und/oder Fußabschnitt weisen jeweils mittige Ausnehmungen auf. Hierdurch kann das innere Ende des Bandes durch die jeweilige Ausnehmung nach außen gezogen werden, wodurch ein einfaches Abwickeln des Knäuels gewährleistet ist.
  • Gemäß der Erfindung werden diese Ausnehmungen dadurch gebildet, daß entsprechende ausgestanzte Klappen um seitliche Falzlinien nach innen umgeschlagen werden. Hierdurch werden die jeweiligen Ränder des Knäuels zusätzlich eingefaßt, was die Knäuelstabilität weiter erhöht. Die Verpackung kann auch nicht seitwärts abgleiten.
  • Gerade unter dem Aspekt der Umweltverträglichkeit kann das Einsatzmaterial für die Verpackung aus recyclebarem Material bestehen. Hier eignet sich insbesondere Pappe.
  • Weitere Einzelheiten und Vorteile der vorliegenden Erfindung werden anhand des in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiels erläutert. Es zeigen:

    die in Figur 1 dargestellte Ausführungsform der Verpackung in zusammengefügter Form.
  • Die Verpackung besteht aus einem flexiblen Pappstreifen 10. Dieser weist jeweils durch eine Falzlinie 20 getrennt einen Seitenteilabschnitt 14' eines ersten Seitenabschnitts auf, auf den der Fußabschnitt 18, der zweite Seitenabschnitt 12, der Kopfabschnitt 16 und der zweite Teil des ersten Seitenabschnitts 14 folgen. Sowohl der Kopfabschnitt 16 wie auch der Fußabschnitt 18 weisen im wesentlichen kreisförmige Konturen auf. Sowohl in dem Teil 14' des ersten Seitenabschnitts wie auch in dem zweiten Teil 14 des ersten Seitenabschnitts sind seitliche Einschnitte 28 bzw. 26 vorgesehen, die jeweils ungefähr bis in die Mitte reichen und von gegenüberliegenden Seiten der Teile 14' bzw. 14 der Seitenabschnitte ausgehen, so daß diese nach entsprechendem Umfalzen sämtlicher Abschnitte um die Falzlinien 20 ineinander eingehakt werden können, wobei sich die fertige Verpackung gemäß Fig.2 ergibt.
  • In Fig.2 ist mit 5 ein Bandknäuel, beispielsweise ein Kräuselbandknäuel angedeutet. In diesem Knäuel ist in üblicher Weise maschinell ein Band 6, das hier nur schematisch dargestellt ist, aufgewickelt. Das äußere Ende des Bandes 6 ist mittels eines Klebezettels 7 auf der äußeren Oberfläche des Knäuels 5 festgelegt. Der Figur 2 ist die jeweilige Anordnung der Seitenabschnitte 12,14,14' und des Kopfabschnitts 16 sowie des Fußabschnitts 18 zur Knäueloberfläche zu entnehmen. Insbesondere der Kopfabschnitt 16 und der Fußabschnitt 18 sind in ihren Umrissen an die jeweilige Knäuelabflachung angepaßt. Der Figur 2 ist ebenfalls die Art und Weise des Zusammensteckens der Teile 14' und 14 des Seitenabschnitts zu entnehmen, die so erfolgt, daß die Enden der Teile 14' und 14 nach innen, also zur Knäueloberfläche hin zu liegen kommen.
  • In Fig.1 ist dargestellt, daß circa in der Mitte des Kopfabschnitts 16 und des Fußabschnitts 18 jeweils Klappen 22 vorgestanzt sind, die um Falzlinien 24 umgefalzt werden können. Nach Umlegen des flexiblen Streifens 10 um das Knäuel, wie es in Fig.2 dargestellt ist, können die Klappen 22 nach innen in den hohlen Kernbereich des Knäuels umgeschlagen werden. Dadurch werden die oberen und unteren Ränder des Knäuels eingefaßt und zusätzlich gesichert. Gleichzeitig sind die jeweiligen Ausnehmungen gebildet, durch die das innere Ende des Knäuels nach außen geführt werden kann. Hierdurch kann das Band in einfacher Weise vom Knäuel abgewickelt werden, ohne daß die Schutzfunktion der Verpackung beeinträchtigt wird.
  • Die entsprechenden Falzlinien 20 und 24 können maschinell vorgerillt sein. Überhaupt läßt sich der flexible Pappstreifen 10 sehr einfach maschinell durch entsprechende Stanz- bzw. Rillschritte herstellen.
  • Insbesondere im Bereich der Seitenabschnitte 12 und 14,14' kann die Verpackung bedruckt oder mit entsprechenden Aufklebern, die als Informations- und Werbeträger dienen, versehen werden.

Claims (4)

  1. Verpackung bestehend aus einem am seiner Enden zu einer Umreifung verbindbaren flexiblen Streifen (10) aus zwei Seitenabschnitten (12, 14, 14'), einem Kopf- (16) und einem Fußabschnitt (18), die durch Umfalzen des Streifens (10) um Falzlinien (20) gebildet sind,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß für das Verpacken eines Knäuels, insbesondere eines Geschenkbandknäuels, der Kopf- (16) und/oder Fußabschnitt (18) des flexiblen Streifens (10) mittig Ausnehmungen aufweist, die durch um Falzlinien (24) nach innen umgeschlagene Klappen (22) gebildet sind.
  2. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Seitenabschnitt (14, 14') zweigeteilt ist und daß der flexible Streifen (10) nach Zusammenfügen der Teile (14, 14') des Seitenabschnitts die fertige Verpackung bildet.
  3. Verpackung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Teile (14, 14') des Seitenabschnitts miteinander verklebt und/oder zusammengesteckt sind.
  4. Verpackung nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie aus einem recyclebarem Material, insbesondere Pappe, besteht.
