If, on the other hand, the cable 10 is not between the jaws 17, but is placed outside of them, as shown in FIG. 3, it is easy to see that the clamp 16 is jammed in the sheath 26 and that under the effect of the shock the seat 12 rocks or swings forward. This shock is mitigated by the sliding of the template 25 in the slides 27 and this sliding is braked by the blocks of braking 28, in order to progressively decelerate the clamp 16 and thus reduce the amplitude of the rocking of the seat 12.
- the clamp 16 is of course stopped, while the cable 10 is forcibly pulled in the sheath 26 until the installation drive motor stops.
- This stopping is triggered by the usual safety systems, which detect the excessive oscillation of the cable 10, due to the shock or the interruption of the path of the seats 12.
- An additional safety device can detect the sliding of the template 25 and cause the shutdown. After such a stop, it is obviously necessary to check the good condition of the installation and replace the template 25 in place.
- the mechanical locking of the clamp 16 prevents the latter from exceeding a determined point if the cable 10 is not inserted between the jaws 17 and in any case reaching the outlet 24 of the clutch section 11.
- the effort braking exerted on the template 25 and the stroke of this braking are determined to limit the swinging amplitude of the seat 12 to an acceptable and non-dangerous value for the occupants.
