Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lampholder, in particular for halogen lamps, consisting of a lampholder body made of insulating material with contacts accommodated therein and a base which, if appropriate with the exception of conductor insertion openings, closes the lampholder body, the lampholder body being provided with through-holes for sleeve elements which themselves have penetrations for fastening means such as screws, rivets or the like.
  • Known lamp holders of this type generally have an insulating body made of plastic or porcelain, which is provided on two opposite sides with the through holes mentioned.
  • the plate-like base has edge recesses at assigned locations and, if necessary, recesses for the passage of the electrical conductors when the conductor is inserted at the bottom.
  • the attachment of this floor is done by attaching it to the insulating housing by means of hollow rivets, these hollow rivets reaching through the through holes of the socket body and providing passages for the use of fastening means such as screws or rivets with which the Socket can be attached to a holder.
  • the invention has for its object a lamp holder in the preamble of the claim 1 required type in a simplified form, with particular emphasis being placed on the fact that the socket can be fitted and assembled on a machine with less effort and more easily than before.
  • the invention solves this problem essentially in that the bottom can be connected at least indirectly to the socket body in a clamped and / or latching manner and carries the sleeve elements in a one-piece, materially coordinated association.
  • the previous hollow rivets are replaced by sleeve bodies integrally formed on the bottom.
  • the base is attached to the socket body by jamming or locking.
  • the invention combines three known parts, namely two hollow rivets and the bottom, to form a one-piece component and thus saves the supply of the parts that have become unnecessary and the riveting process during assembly. So only the bottom of the socket body has to be fed and can understandably be connected to the socket body in a particularly simple manner using a pick-and-place machine that also uses the contacts in the socket body.
  • the component base / sleeve body can consist of a plastic injection molded part.
  • the sleeve elements have the shape of tubes. It is also advantageous if the base is held on the socket body by means of a clamping connection of the sleeve elements in the through holes of the socket body is. This eliminates the need for special latching means on the socket body and on the floor, which would otherwise be necessary to fix it in place on the socket body.
  • the invention also enables an additional fastening option for a halogen lamp holder on a holder carrier.
  • a resilient locking pin with a locking head protruding from the through hole is arranged as a fastening means for attaching the frame to a frame carrier within each sleeve element - extending essentially axially parallel in it.
  • the sleeve elements are preferably used for the clamping or latching connection of the base to the socket body. The fasteners are thus already molded onto this insert body.
  • the sleeve element is preferably provided with a longitudinal slot pointing towards the rim of the socket in order to enable the locking pin to move freely, which is favorable for the suspension.
  • the sleeve element or the locking pin is or both are formed on a through-hole closing base plate according to a further embodiment.
  • the locking pin can extend essentially from the bottom outwards, ie away from the socket, or from a connection point located in a through hole to the outside through the through hole. This is either an attachment option possible above or below a frame support.
  • the insulating housing 11 consists of a heat-resistant plastic or porcelain and has two through holes 13 for the passage of fasteners such as screws or rivets. 14 with receiving chambers for not shown, in particular contacts, to which electrical conductors 15 (Fig. 4, 5) are connected.
  • a raised peripheral frame body edge receives a plate-shaped section 17 of the base 12.
  • the bottom 12 also has two open-ended recesses 18 for the entry of the conductor 15 into the socket body 11.
  • the peculiarity of the base 12 consists in the two sleeve elements 19, which are integrally and integrally formed on the base 12 in all of the illustrated exemplary embodiments, with particular consideration being given to the fact that this is a plastic injection molded part.
  • the sleeve elements have the shape of tubes with internal openings 20 for one screw, one rivet or one nail each for fastening the holder 10 to a holder carrier (not shown).
  • connection of the base 12 to the socket body 11 takes place in a clamped or latched manner, in the exemplary embodiments by clamping the sleeve body 19 in the through holes 13, for which purpose extend on the outer jacket of the sleeve elements 19 small material ribs 21, which bring about the clamping engagement within the through holes 13 and secure them by squeezing.
  • FIGS. 4 and 5 show a finished lamp socket, in the socket body 11 of which one of the bases described is inserted. 4, the insertion openings for the lamp contact pins are designated by 22.
  • a socket according to FIGS. 4 and 5 can be mounted on a socket holder like a conventional socket of the generic type by means of screws, rivets or the like which are inserted through the openings 20 of the sleeve elements 19.
  • the base 12 shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 are also formed with sleeve elements 19 with crush ribs 21, so that the base 12 is clamped in a socket body 11 in the same way.
  • these sleeve elements 19 do not have any passages here, but rather each have a base plate 23 that closes a through hole and on which a resilient locking pin 24 is molded, in particular molded.
  • each locking pin 24 has a barb-like locking head 25. So that each locking pin can sufficiently extend transversely to its longitudinal extent, the sleeve elements 19 are, as can be seen, open to the outside.
  • a floor 12 is plugged together with a socket body 11 according to FIGS. 6 and 7, an arrangement according to the section results Fig. 10a.
  • the locking pin 24 passes through each socket-side through hole 26 completely, so that its locking head 25 protrudes by a distance d approximately corresponding to the wall thickness of a frame carrier.
  • Such a lamp holder 10 can thus be mounted under a holder which, of course, must have a cutout for the lamp or its connecting pins in the region of the insertion openings 22.
  • FIGS. 6, 7 and 10a differs from that illustrated in FIGS. 8, 9 and 10b essentially in that here the through-hole-closing base plate 23 does not lie in or approximately in the plane of the bottom 12 , but is arranged at a distance from the sleeve element 19. Accordingly, the resilient locking pin 34, which in turn is integrally connected to the base plate 23, does not pass through the through hole 26 in the socket body 11 from the bottom, but in the opposite direction. Assembled with the lampholder body 11, the locking pins connected in one piece to the base 12 point away from the lamp insertion side, so that this lampholder is intended for mounting on a lampholder carrier and the latching head 25 is in turn about the thickness d of the lampholder carrier, e.g. B. a sheet metal plate, protrudes from the socket body, this time against its lower bottom edge.
  • the lampholder carrier e.g. B. a sheet metal plate
