Abstract

Il est proposé un élément de couplage (10) destiné à un guide d'ondes lumineuses (41), qui peut être inséré dans une rainure se trouvant dans un guide d'ondes. L'élément de couplage (10) présente des éléments émetteur (3) et récepteur (2) alignés sur la direction de propagation du rayonnement dans le guide d'ondes (41). L'élément de couplage (10) est encapsulé au moyen d'une masse de compoundage transparente (9) présentant approximativement le même indice de réfraction que le guide d'ondes (41). Cela permet de maintenir les pertes à un niveau réduit, sans qu'il y ait des réflexions perturbatrices. L'élément de couplage (10) peut être placé sur le guide d'ondes n'importe où, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de découper le guide d'ondes (41). Aucune précision particulière n'est requise lors de la réalisation de la rainure.
