Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an applicator assembly intended for making up the eyelashes comprising a mascara bar and a dispensing element.
The most commonly used applicator sets are in the form of a pen; they comprise a reservoir containing a mascara packaged in liquid or pasty form and a removable cap which is intended to close the reservoir and which constitutes a handle or a handle for a brush carried by the end of a rod integral with the cap. In the closed position of the applicator assembly, the rod and the brush plunge into the reservoir. When the rod is removed from the reservoir, a certain amount of mascara is taken from the brush which can then be applied to the eyelashes. In addition, the brush generally penetrates inside the reservoir through a substantially circular orifice bordered by a flexible lip, the role of which is to exert a wringing action on the bristles of the brush and to eliminate the excess product. makeup removed by the brush inside the tank. In these applicators, the quantity of mascara withdrawn using the brush is always approximately the same and the user cannot therefore vary this quantity as required.
There are also known eyelash makeup applicator assemblies comprising a mascara in the form of a loaf, therefore in the form of a solid, and a brush arranged in a housing. To take off the mascara, the user moistens the brush or possibly the bread, using a liquid from a source external to the set, most often using saliva, and she rubs the brush on the mascara bar to take more or less mascara, as needed. The user can therefore vary the load of product on the brush at will, which is advantageous for making up the eyelashes because, in particular, they can be sheathed without sticking them. However, it is unpleasant for the user to deposit saliva on the brush or on the mascara bar, or to seek an external source of liquid. In addition, the brushes used are generally flat brushes implanted by tufts of bristles which eventually become clogged and do not make it possible to curl the eyelashes well by a rotational movement as is possible thanks to the cylindrical brushes used in the applicator assemblies comprising a tank of liquid mascara. Furthermore, in the user's bag, the size of the case, which is generally rectangular, is a handicap.
The object of the present invention is to provide a mascara applicator assembly comprising a solid mascara bar and a dispensing element moistened at the time of use, an applicator assembly which makes it possible to withdraw variable amounts of mascara according to the needs of the user. and which is in the shape of a pen, therefore compact.
The object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic applicator assembly comprising a cosmetic bar and a dispensing element, the assembly having the shape of a pen which has two parts: a tubular body and a cap which is fixed on said tubular body, one of the parts containing a cosmetic bar and the other part carrying a dispensing element, said dispensing element being able to be moistened, characterized in that the tubular body contains a solid mascara bread at least partially hollowed out by a shape recess conical or cylindrical, into which the dispensing element enters, for its loading, the applicator assembly comprising, in addition, a reservoir which contains a liquid serving to moisten the dispensing element, the reservoir and the dispensing element being associated so that the dispensing element is immersed in the reservoir when the cap is attached to the tubular body and the tubular body contains both the mascara bar and the liquid reservoir.
It is intended that the mascara bread and the dispensing element are arranged so that the moistened element can be rubbed several times on the mascara bread, in order to regulate the loading of the dispensing element as desired. makeup product.
The mascara bread is poured hot and solidified by cooling. The mascara formula can comprise, in addition to the wax and the dyes usually used, microcapsules whose walls resist the mascara pouring temperature and protect cosmetically active agents such as reinforcers, hydrating agents, lubricants, shiny and sheathing . These microcapsules burst on contact with the dispensing element on the surface of the solidified bread, releasing the cosmetically active agents which they contain. In addition, in some cases, broken microcapsules can contribute to the disintegration of bread even without the addition of a new external agent.
The reservoir contains a liquid disintegrating agent, which constitutes the mascara bread such as, for example, water or physiological saline. This agent can optionally be mixed with at least one cosmetically active agent such as enhancer, beautifier, sheathing, lubricant, shiny, or catalyst of the action of agents contained in the microcapsules of bread. The liquid contained in the tank is preferably slightly gelled by a gelling agent such as, for example, carboxymethylcellulose, to prevent it from flowing too freely out of the tank.
The reservoir may contain at least one ball for agitating the liquid.
According to a first variant, the dispensing element is a brush with a circular cross section. One can also use an oval brush, flat and rounded, which has the advantage of allowing better contact with the mascara bar when the said brush is rotated inside the recess. The brush may consist of bristles provided with grooves, called capillary bristles; such bristles are, for example, described in patent application FR-A-2 627 068 (filed on February 12, 1988 under the number 88 01690). These bristles have the advantage of making it possible to conserve the water or the liquid containing the active agents, even after wringing by a wiping lip.
According to another variant, the dispensing element can be a flexible and tapered element called a "feather", of conical or cylindroconical shape, having a flocked surface.
According to yet another variant, the dispensing element can be an element made of spongy thermoplastic foam with open cells or else made of felt.
The reservoir and the mascara bar are arranged in the tubular body of the applicator, the reservoir being arranged so that the brush plunges into the reservoir when the applicator is closed.
In a first variant, the reservoir can be placed in the vicinity of the bottom of the tubular body and the mascara bread in the vicinity of the fixing the cap on the tubular body, the mascara bar being hollowed out over its entire length. In this case, the recess for the mascara bread preferably has a cylindrical shape. The tubular body of the applicator is then preferably formed from two separable parts; one of the separable parts constitutes the reservoir, while the other part contains the mascara bread and constitutes a refill.
In a second variant, the mascara bar can be placed at the bottom of the tubular body, the bottom of the tubular body then being provided with an opening, and the reservoir being arranged in the vicinity of the device for fixing the cap to the tubular body. In this case, the mascara bread is preferably contained in a cup provided with a cover, the cup being mounted so that the cover is arranged outside the tubular body. The bread recess then preferably has a conical shape.
In the case of these two variants, the reservoir is preferably provided with wiping lips on the side where the inlet and the outlet of the dispensing element operate.
The applicator assemblies according to this embodiment operate in the manner described below. In the closed position, the dispensing element soaks in the tank. The user opens the applicator and takes out the dispensing element: it is wrung out using the wringing lips at the outlet of the reservoir. When the mascara bar is located at the outlet of the tubular body, the user loads the brush by a rotation and / or back and forth movement inside the mascara bar. If the mascara bar is located at the bottom of the tubular body, the user opens the cover forming the bottom of the tubular body and loads the brush by turning it in the bread recess. The user can, if necessary, rewet the brush, if it deems it useful. When the user considers that the load of the dispensing element in mascara is suitable, she proceeds to makeup. At the end of the operation, the user closes the applicator assembly and the dispensing element is again soaked in the reservoir.

The applicator shown comprises, on the one hand, a
The applicator assembly of Figure 1 operates as described below.
Elle referme ensuite l'ensemble applicateur, la brosse 403 revenant plonger dans la partie formant réservoir 404.The user opens the applicator by disengaging the
If the user wishes to change the
Figures 2 and 3 show a second version of an applicator assembly according to the invention. The applicator assembly shown comprises a
The applicator assembly according to the present application operates in the manner described below.
Elle referme également le couvercle 562.The user unscrews the applicator and takes out the "feather" 503. On its way, the "feather" 503 is wrung out by the
When the user wishes to change the
