Abstract

151,630. Trowbridge, E. C. April 1, 1918, [Convention date]. Non-potable substances, receptacles fitted to facilitate use of.-Means for delivering medicated solutions and other materials comprises a stopper member provided with a collapsable bulb 10 and lower flanged members 12, 13 projecting into and over the neck 6 of a container 5. A tube 9 passes through the flange 12 into the base of the bulb, and the lower end of the tube carries a pad 18 of absorbent material, or a small brush may be used in place of the pad. In use, a watertight adhesive strip 14 is removed from the junction between the lower end of the flange 13 and the upper part of the container, and liquid is drawn into the tube by manipulating the bulb. Medicated solution may be applied externally by rubbing the pad 18 over the bodv while the bulb is compressed, or the solution may be delivered in drops. In the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) it is stated the device is also useful for applying blacking for cleaning boots. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
