The ring 408 is a cylindrical ring; it has at one end an external screw pitch 482 corresponding to the internal screw pitch 452 of the tubular part 405. An external annular shoulder 481 is located behind the screw pitch and has an external diameter equal to the external diameter of the tubular part 405 at the internal screw pitch 452. At the end 483 opposite the thread 452, the outer wall of the ring 408 is cylindrical. Between the side wall 411 of the reservoir 404 and the cylindrical end 483 of the ring 408 is interposed the annular seal 409; this seal carries, at its end situated on the side of the tank 404, an annular wiping lip 491 perpendicular to the wall 411 of the tank.

Le corps tubulaire 501 contient un réservoir 504 et une cupule 506 renfermant un pain de mascara 507 ; le corps tubulaire 501 est ouvert à ses deux extrémités. Le réservoir 504 comporte un fond 541 et une paroi latérale cylindrique 543 ayant, en section transversale, des dimensions légèrement plus faibles que celles du corps tubulaire 501 de façon à pouvoir être introduit dans celui-ci ; il est ouvert à son extrémité située du côté du capuchon lorsque l'applicateur est en position fermée. Le réservoir 504 est maintenu par un système de bague 508 et de joint élastique 509 identique à celui décrit dans le cas de l'applicateur de la figure 1 : la bague 508 comporte à une extrémité un filetage externe 582, qui correspond à un pas de vis 522 du capuchon 502 ; l'autre extrémité a la forme d'un cylindre lisse 581. Autour de cette partie cylindrique lisse 581 est disposé le joint annulaire 509 en matériau élastique, ledit joint comportant, à une extrémité située près du réservoir 504 une lèvre annulaire d'essorage 591 perpendiculaire à la paroi 511 du réservoir. Le fond du corps tubulaire 501, à l'extrémité opposée au capuchon lorsque l'applicateur est en position fermée, présente une ouverture 510. Par cette ouverture est montée une cupule 506 contenant le pain de mascara 507. La cupule 506 comporte un fond 561 situé au voisinage du fond 543 du réservoir 504 et un couvercle 562 fixé à la cupule par une charnière-film. La paroi latérale 563 de la cupule est munie d'un bossage 564 qui correspond à une fente 514 de la paroi latérale 511 du corps tubulaire 501. Le pain de mascara 507 est percé d'un évidement conique 571 dont la pointe est située au voisinage du fond de la cupule.Figures 2 and 3 show a second version of an applicator assembly according to the invention. The reservoir 504 is maintained by a ring 508 and elastic seal 509 system identical to that described in the case of the applicator of FIG. 1: the ring 508 has at one end an external thread 582, which corresponds to a screw pitch 522 of the cap 502; the other end has the shape of a smooth cylinder 581. Around this smooth cylindrical part 581 is disposed the annular seal 509 made of elastic material, said seal comprising, at one end situated near the reservoir 504, an annular wiping lip 591 perpendicular to the wall 511 of the tank. The bottom of the tubular body 501, at the end opposite to the cap when the applicator is in the closed position, has an opening 510. Through this opening is mounted a cup 506 containing the mascara bread 507. The cup 506 has a bottom 561 located near the bottom 543 of the tank 504 and a cover 562 fixed to the cup by a film hinge. The side wall 563 of the cup is provided with a boss 564 which corresponds to a slot 514 of the side wall 511 of the tubular body 501. The mascara bar 507 is pierced with a conical recess 571 whose tip is located in the vicinity from the bottom of the cup.

Claims (10)

  1. Cosmetics applicator unit comprising a block of cosmetic (407, 507) and a dispensing member (403, 503), the unit being in the form of a fountain pen which comprises two parts: a tubular body (401, 501) and a cap (402, 502) which fits onto the said tubular body, the cap carrying a dispensing member (403, 503) which can be moistened, and the tubular body (401, 501) containing a block of solid mascara (407, 507) which is at least partially hollowed out by a cavity (471, 571) which the dispensing member (403, 503) enters to be loaded, the applicator unit additionally comprising a storage container (404, 504) which contains a liquid used to moisten the dispensing member, characterized in that the cavity (471, 571) is of conical or cylindrical shape; that the storage container (404, 504) and the dispensing member (403, 503) are associated so that the dispensing member is immersed in the storage container when the cap (402, 502) is fitted onto the tubular body (401, 501); and that the tubular body contains both the block of mascara (407, 507) and the storage container (404, 504) for liquid.
  2. Applicator unit according to Claim 1, characterized in that the block of mascara (407, 507) comprises, in addition to the wax and the colorants, microcapsules whose walls withstand the flow temperature of the mascara and protect the cosmetically active agents.
  3. Applicator unit according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the liquid used to moisten the dispensing member is water or physiological serum mixed with at least one cosmetically active agent.
  4. Applicator unit according to Claim 3, characterized in that the cosmetically active agent is a gelling agent.
  5. Applicator unit according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the storage container (404) is arranged in the vicinity of the bottom of the tubular body (401) and the block of mascara (407) in the vicinity of the device for securing the cap (402) onto the tubular body, the block of mascara (407) being hollowed out cylindrically over its whole length.
  6. Applicator unit according to Claim 5, characterized in that the tubular body of the applicator is made up of two separable parts (404, 405).
  7. Applicator unit according to Claim 6, characterized in that one (404) of the two separable parts forms the storage container, while the other part (405) contains the block of mascara and forms a refill.
  8. Applicator unit according to Claim 1, characterized in that the block of mascara (507) is arranged at the bottom of the tubular body (501), the bottom of the tubular body being provided with an opening (510), and the storage container (504) being arranged in the vicinity of the device for securing the cap (502) onto the tubular body (501).
  9. Applicator unit according to Claim 8, characterized in that the block of mascara (507) is contained in a cup (506) provided with a lid (562) arranged outside the tubular body (501).
  10. Applicator unit according to one of Claims 5 to 9, characterized in that the storage container (404, 504) is provided with wringing lips (491, 591).
