Description
The invention relates to a rapier weaving machine for the production of heavy fabrics, the rapiers being arranged on rapier rods which are rigidly guided outside the shed and a first rapier introducing the weft thread into the open shed, while a second rapier takes over the weft thread in the middle of the compartment and through the compartment carries and the grippers run freely on a shelf arranged on the sheet bar.
Heavy fabrics are, for example, conveyor belt fabrics for belt conveyors in the top and bottom mining.
From US-PS 3,842,869 a guide rail for a rapier guided by a rapier of a rapier weaving machine is known.
In order to achieve reliable operation of the weaving machine, an exact looper guide is indispensable for the center transfer of the weft, ie for the transfer of the weft from one looper to the other. In the case of grippers guided with a flexible band, in contrast to grippers guided rigidly by means of rods, the secure guidance of the flexible band at least over part of the length of the weft thread entry is mandatory, so that the compressive and tensile forces acting in the respective band do not affect the band and the gripper cause to leave the given leadership. It is known that in the production of simple fabrics, the lower warp threads are mostly guided in one layer on the surface of the shop sole. The gripper as well as the gripper belt thus glides over the warp threads lying on the shop sole. It is the looper belts that then damage or break the warp threads. To avoid this, it is proposed in US Pat. No. 3,842,869 to attach an elongated component to the existing shop sole, which consists of a series of upwardly extending webs arranged along its length, these webs having means for lateral guidance of the guide band, and that there are second webs between each of the first webs, which only have a side boundary and an upper edge for carrying the band.
A groove is formed between each of the adjacent webs, in which the lower warp layer is guided.
The US-PS also mentions that the individual webs can also be separately formed parts and can be attached to the base part.
The known guide rail for a gripper belt is not intended to accommodate several lower warp layers, which, for example, enables the production of heavy fabrics, for example up to a thickness of 15 mm.
Such a reference is not given in the US PS.
The application of the solution shown for the production of heavy fabric would already fail because the large number of lower warp threads of the lower compartment could not be guided in the grooves or grooves.
The mass of the lower warp threads would then be so thick and high that the straight movement of the grippers up to the middle of the shed is no longer guaranteed for the purpose of transferring the weft.
The grippers are then undesirably deflected upwards into the shed. The safe interaction of the two grippers is no longer guaranteed when the weft is transferred. The grippers no longer slide on the shop floor at the prescribed level.
The invention is therefore based on the object in gripper weaving machines of the type mentioned in the preamble of the main claim to ensure the free and straight running of the gripper through the shed even when processing high-strength lower warp threads for producing abnormally thick and multilayered fabrics.
To achieve the object, the invention is characterized by the technical teaching according to
An essential feature of the present invention is that the thread mass in the sub-compartment, which was previously very tall, is now reduced according to the invention, namely in receiving spaces which are formed between webs of the shop sole, so that the warp thread mass, which is built up per se, due to its lowering below the level the sole of the shop no longer interferes with the straight running of the grippers; that is, the end of the grippers no longer strike the warp thread mass of the lower compartment because this is lowered according to the invention. The grippers can now be guided straight to the center of the shed.
According to the invention, the soleplate is designed so that it consists of individual, spaced apart and parallel to each other webs which are replaceable, but firmly attached to a profile at the front of the sheet bar. These webs form receiving spaces in which the entirety of the lower shed warp threads is embedded. The shape of the webs is adapted to the given geometric conditions of the weaving machine.
This ensures the straight running of the grippers in the direction of the center of the weft transfer and at the same time the upper edge of the webs can be used as a running surface for the grippers, which are rigidly guided. The sliding elements of the gripper heads thus meet again on a defined track that does not spring or yield, so that an orderly gripper movement occurs.
The free space between the webs is designed so that the maximum of the warp threads of the lower shed can be accommodated in the heaviest heavy fabrics and it is dimensioned so that the currently known conveyor belt fabrics can be produced using this invention.
With a heavy fabric thickness of e.g. 15mm is sufficient to provide a web height of 11mm.
The invention will now be described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.

According to FIG. 1 there is a
In a manner known per se, the weaving machine has a

The number of webs is dimensioned so that a proper rapier run on the running
It can be provided here that, looking beyond the weaving width, the distance between the individual
