Definitions

  • the invention relates to a labeling machine with a standing mounting plate, with a drive motor on this mounting plate, with an output shaft arranged perpendicular to the mounting plate and driven by the drive motor, with a label tape guide arranged on the mounting plate, comprising a drive shaft, several deflecting shafts, and a label tape reel , an empty belt bobbin, each axially parallel to the output shaft and a dispensing edge, and with a slip clutch, which is interposed between the output shaft and the empty belt bobbin.
  • the labels coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive are lined up on a continuous label tape.
  • the label tape is returned at the dispensing edge, angled at a sharp angle, and the labels slide one by one due to their rigidity from the label tape towards the goods being passed, onto which they are pressed and thereby pinned.
  • the web of material can, for example, be a two-lane, deep-drawn container belt which is to be closed with a corresponding two-lane lid band and the lid of which is then to be printed with a label, i.e. a total of two labels side by side for both lanes. But it can also be goods, each for two labels are needed side by side.
  • the object of the invention is to design a labeling machine of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that two labels can be dispensed next to one another with the smallest possible distance and with the least possible outlay in terms of apparatus with a reliable design.
  • the invention solves this problem by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the same proven construction elements can be used as for the first label tape guide, so that safe operation and easy maintenance is ensured.
  • the two label tape guides are close together because only the two mounting plates and the drive motor with the worm gear have to be placed between them so that the labels can be dispensed close together.
  • the two label tape guides can be operated independently of one another when the common drive motor is running will. Accordingly, it is recommended that each label tape guide is assigned a label sensor in the path of the labels, which controls the associated disengageable clutch. In this way it can easily be ensured that the two labels are delivered to the goods exactly for the intended positions, even if the positions on the goods are not arranged mirror-symmetrically to one another or are even offset. A corresponding compensation can be controlled by a goods sensor and taken into account when dispensing the label of the label belt conveyor in question.
  • the drive shafts of both label tape guides are arranged coaxially with one another.
  • the two disengageable clutches are also arranged coaxially.
  • the space required between the mounting plates is larger than that required for the drive motor and if you then want to move the mounting plates closer together, namely to the maximum width of the drive motor, it is advisable to move the drive shafts out of the coaxial arrangement so that the couplings can stand closer together and do not require any additional clearance between the mounting plates.
  • additional resources may then have to be used for the power transmission.
  • printing devices can be assigned to the individual label tape guides.
  • the distance between the two labels can be changed in that a label tape guide is arranged adjustable in the direction of the drive shaft relative to the mounting plate.
  • the labels are expediently placed when the goods are at a standstill. It can also be done while the goods are moving. In the latter case, the label is released in the direction of the goods movement.
  • the narrow design of the labeling machine according to the invention proves to be advantageous because it can then be accommodated, for example above the web, largely within the outer contour of the web, at a location where there is generally space in the current production is available.
  • labels are applied with a bar code, they should pass under the printer in the longitudinal direction of the bars, because the known printers are thus able to print a correct bar code. Then the label falls into the delivery position, but in the longitudinal direction of the bar code. If the barcode is now required in the longitudinal direction of the goods advance on the web, the label must be delivered in the direction of the goods advance. If the bar code on the goods is required in a different orientation, then the label machine has to be reoriented accordingly and it is advantageous that the invention allows both orientation options.
  • the labels are dispensed while the web is at a standstill, several pairs of labels can be dispensed with each stop by using the labeling machine during the stoppage moved accordingly on a sled.
  • Similar labels can be dispensed from the two label tape guides. However, labels of different sizes and different shapes and different prints can also be used, and these can also be delivered in a completely different cycle, depending on how the goods passing by require it.
  • 1 and 2 denote two mounting plates, which are arranged plane-parallel at a distance from one another.
  • the common drive motor 3 is mounted between the mounting plates.
  • the axis 4 of the drive motor extends parallel to the mounting plates.
  • a worm gear 5 is coupled on the output side of the drive motor, the output shaft 6 of which extends perpendicular to the mounting plates.
  • a gear 56, 62 is inserted, which meshes with a gear 58 via an intermediate gear 57.
  • the gear 58 is torsionally rigid with two disengageable clutches 7, 8, each of which drives a drive shaft 9, 10.
  • the two drive shafts are coaxial to one another and extend outside the mounting plates 1, 2.
  • the two drive shafts 9, 10 each belong to a label tape guide, generally designated 11 or 12.
  • the label tape guide 11 is located outside the mounting plate 1 and the label tape guide 12 on the opposite side, outside the mounting plate 2.
  • the two label tape guides are arranged and formed approximately mirror-symmetrically to each other.
  • the label tape guide 12, which is visible in Figure 1, because it faces the viewer, comprises a label tape bobbin 13 with associated storage 14, which is attached to the mounting plate 1, as well as deflection rollers 15 to 21 and a pressure roller 23, which the empty label tape against the drive shaft 10 presses and finally an empty belt bobbin 24 which is plugged onto a corresponding empty belt bobbin shaft 25.
  • the label tape guide 12 includes a dispensing edge 26, around which the label tape 27 is guided with sharp edges, so that the labels are dispensed there one after the other, as indicated for the label 29 in FIG.
  • a unit 28 operated with compressed air, on the underside of which, when a label is dispensed, air suction is generated, by means of which the label is held and subsequently air pressure is generated, by means of which this label then suddenly downwards is delivered to the underlying goods 30.
  • the goods belong to a web 31, which is guided on a conveyor belt 32 in the direction of arrow 34 past the delivery position.
  • the web is two-lane, as can be seen in FIG. 2, where the second web is designated 33.
  • the second web is operated by the other label tape guide 11.
  • a label sensor 40 is provided in the path of the labels which gives a signal when a label passes by.
  • a goods sensor 41 is provided which emits a signal when a product passes by.
  • the signals of the label sensor 40 and of the goods sensor 41 control one associated with the label sensor 12, not shown, in one Box housed electronics, which in turn controls the clutch 8 and the compressed or suction air for the unit 28, so that the individual labels are delivered at exactly the right moment and placed exactly in relation to the goods passing by in the correct position.
  • Designated at 50 is a printing unit which, triggered by the electronics mentioned, passes a pre-programmed print on it when it passes through a label.
  • This can be, for example, one of the known bar codes.
  • the parts of the label tape guide 12 described so far are also provided with the label tape guide 11, only in an approximately mirror-symmetrical design and are also operated accordingly.
  • the parts are therefore partly with the same reference numerals as designated for the other label tape leader, with the difference only with a dash.
  • outer mounting plates 51, 52 are provided, which are plane-parallel to the mounting plates 1, 2 and in which some or all of the shafts are mounted for reasons of stability. But you can also do without these outer mounting plates and store the shafts in question.
  • the label tape bobbin in the axial direction, for example further outward from the inner position shown in FIG. 2 and correspondingly also the empty tape bobbin 24 and the printing unit 50, as a result of which the distance between the dispensed bobbins indicated by the double arrow 55 increases.
  • the parts can be locked in the new position by means of brackets (not shown) against unintentional axial displacement.
  • Corresponding the other label tape guide is also axially displaceable. In this way, the distance between the dispensed labels indicated by the double arrow 55 in FIG. 2 can be determined or adjusted.
  • the gear wheels 56 and 62 each have a circumferential groove, over each of which a drive belt 59, 65 is placed, which drives a slip clutch 61, 67 via an associated pulley 60, 66.
  • the slip clutch 61 in turn drives the empty band reel shaft 25 and the slip clutch 67 drives the empty band reel shaft 25 '.
