Abstract

In planetary stranding machines, in which the rotor consists essentially of a supporting tube, to which disc-shaped supporting plates for the rotatably mounted bobbin carriers are connected, for purely constructional reasons the rotor cannot be designed with the necessary bending resistance, thus resulting here in limitations to the maximum permissible rotational speed which lead to a limitation of the production capacity. <??>The arrangement on the supporting tube (6) of longitudinal webs (7) directed radially outwards and distributed uniformly on the circumference affords a greater resistance which permits higher rotational speeds. Furthermore, if the supporting plates (12) on the one hand and the axes of rotation (13) of the bobbin carriers (9) on the other hand are arranged at an angle to the supporting tube (6), this produces a considerable reduction of the flight-circle diameter which in turn allows an increased operating speed, so that the production capacity can be increased. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a basket stranding machine with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.

In basket stranding machines of the type described above, as are known, for example, from FR-A 1 436 707, US-A-3 651 629 and DE-A-2 831 604, there are at least two circular plates on the support tube, depending on the number of coil carriers required arranged in which the coil carriers are rotatably held about their longitudinal axis. The longitudinal axis of the coil carrier is aligned parallel to the rotor axis, while the axis of rotation of the coil held by the coil carrier is perpendicular to it. Between the two carrier plates, several coil carriers are now distributed evenly over the circumference and are coupled to one another via a drive system in such a way that they rotate relative to the rotor when it rotates. This usually happens in such a way that when the rotor rotates, the axes of the coils are parallel to each other and stay aligned parallel to the floor level. Because of the coil width, the axes of rotation of the coil carrier must be placed at a considerable distance from the outer circumference of the support tube in order to enable the above-described position relative to the rotor, so that there is a considerable overall diameter for the rotor, which ultimately leads to limitations in terms of size and stability .

In order to stiffen the rotor, it was proposed in DD-A-207741 to increase the diameter and wall thickness of the support tube. However, the stiffening that can be achieved is insufficient.

Since due to the required clearance for the rotary movement of the coil carrier on the one hand and due to the limitation of the overall diameter of the rotor on the other hand certain limits must be observed, the diameter of the support tube, which is decisive for the stability of the rotor, cannot be increased arbitrarily. The entire system becomes sensitive to bending vibrations, so that there are also limits regarding the maximum permissible speed.

The invention is based on the object of creating a basket stranding machine of the type described at the outset, which has a much stiffer rotor and thus permits higher operating speeds.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the support tube is provided with at least three longitudinal webs which extend in the longitudinal direction and are uniformly distributed over the circumference of the tube and are directed radially outwards, and in that the longitudinal webs are firmly connected to the support plates. The arrangement of such longitudinal webs, which are firmly connected to the support plates, makes it possible to provide a smaller diameter for the support tube and, at the same time, to increase the overall bending stiffness of the rotor. The deflections during operation, caused by the dead weight and / or residual unbalances that cannot be compensated for, are thus reduced, so that with such a stiffened rotor, significantly higher ones Speeds can be driven and thus the production output can be increased.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is further provided that the axes of rotation of the individual coil supports, which are mounted between two support plates adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the support tube, are oriented at an angle to the axis of rotation of the support tube, the bearings of the coil supports in the one support plate having a large distance and are arranged in the other support plate at a short distance from the support tube. The resulting inclination of the coil carrier reduces the flight circle diameter of the rotor without impairing the free rotatability of the coil carrier with respect to the rotor, so that the centrifugal forces acting on the rotor are reduced and thus the operating conditions at high rotor speeds are further improved. Another particular advantage of such a basket stranding machine, which is due to the reduced flight circle diameter, is that it can be set up at any point in the production process. While the systems known hitherto made the arrangement of a pit of about 70 cm necessary due to their large diameter, this requirement is eliminated due to the reduction in the flight circle diameter according to the invention. It is useful here that the ends of the coil carrier facing the stranding point are mounted at a short distance from the support tube. As a result, the stranding material running from the coils can be guided in the immediate vicinity of the support tube through corresponding openings in the support plates to the stranding point, and can be guided past the subsequent bobbin without problems. In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that a support plate is arranged between two adjacent longitudinal webs, that the individual support plates are aligned at an angle to the support tube axis, and that the support tube-side edges on the one hand and the outer edges on the other hand of the support plates are each aligned with respect to one rotary plane run along a common circumference. These The arrangement has the advantage that the bearings for the coil carriers, including the necessary drives for the relative rotation of the coil carriers to the rotor, which are to be provided on the support plates, are each oriented perpendicular to the plane of the support plates, thus simplifying production. In addition, the inclined position of each individual carrier plate assigned to a coil carrier enables a further, albeit minor, reduction in the diameter.

In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that in the area of at least one bobbin there is a sensor for receiving the centrifugal force applied by the bobbin of the bobbin in question, which is connected to a device for controlling the speed of the stranding basket and the take-off device for the stranded material . With the help of this configuration, it is possible to drive at a lower basket speed at the beginning of the stranding journey, when the coils stored in the stranding basket are still completely filled, but then to increase the basket speed with the increasing decrease in the winding diameter. The centrifugal force acting on the bobbin is a measure of the decrease in the winding diameter and represents the reference variable according to which the basket speed and the take-off speed are regulated. In this case, it is also sufficient if the centrifugal force of only one coil is measured, since basically all coils are wound as equally as possible. However, it is expedient if, when loading the stranding basket, the bobbin with the highest operating weight is inserted into the bobbin carrier provided with the measuring point. In this way it is possible to always operate the stranding machine in the optimal speed range. The stranding machine is first started up to an output speed determined by the predetermined centrifugal force. Then there is a progressive increase in the remaining speed up to the maximum permissible speed, which can be maintained until the end of the stranding trip, so that overall a significant increase in production with improved quality is achieved. Broken wires are practically avoided. The centrifugal force can be measured without moving parts if a so-called electrical pressure cell is installed in the bearing of one of the coil carriers as a sensor. The measurement signal can be transmitted either via a slip ring or without contact via a transmitter. Depending on the type of drives used for the stranding machine, the take-off and the take-up device, the measurement and the change of the basket speed and take-off speed can take place continuously or at predefinable time intervals.

Another advantage of the invention is that the machine does not require an additional selection circuit with which it would have to be set up for different types of stranded material. Thus, without any switching measures, the stranding machine can first be loaded with specifically heavy stranded material, for example copper, and then with specifically lighter stranded material, for example aluminum. This is irrelevant for the control, since the given centrifugal force as a reference variable automatically results in the basket speed that is permissible in each case. Due to the constant centrifugal force load, the machine as a whole, including the coils and coil bearings, is subjected to much less stress, so that there is much less wear here. Since, at the beginning of the stranding journey, the vehicle is driven at a lower speed, smaller drive motors can be used accordingly. Accordingly, the brakes for the stranding basket can also be dimensioned smaller. In an expedient embodiment of the invention it is provided that the sensor is arranged on the bearing of the coil carrier arranged at a large distance from the support tube in the support plate.

In the illustrated embodiment, a rotor 1 is rotatably supported with its two ends in bearing blocks 2 and 3. The bearing block 2 also contains the gearbox, which is connected to a drive motor 4. On the side of the bearing block 3 facing away from the rotor 1 there is the stranding point 5, at which the stripped stranded material is stranded.

The rotor 1 consists essentially of a support tube 6, which is provided with four longitudinal webs 7 that run in the longitudinal direction and are evenly distributed on the tube circumference and directed radially outwards. At the drive end, the rotor is provided with a gear shield 8, which carries the necessary gear for such basket twisting machines with reverse rotation, not to be explained here, via which the individual coil carriers 9 are driven with their coils 10 in such a way that the axes of rotation of the coils 10 stay parallel to each other and also with respect to the building level 11 when rotating. With variable backward rotation of the bobbin, however, there is no parallelism.

Supporting plates 12 are now arranged between the longitudinal webs 7, which are aligned at an angle to the axis of rotation of the support tube 6 and are firmly connected to the longitudinal webs 7. These support plates 12 can, as shown, be designed as flat plates or as truncated cone parts.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, only the coil carriers 9 at the top and bottom are shown with their coils 10. The coil carriers facing the viewer are omitted for the sake of simplicity of illustration. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the coil carriers 9 are also aligned with their axes of rotation 13 at an angle to the axis of the support tube, the axis of rotation 13 of the coil carrier being oriented perpendicular to the support plate 12.

The drive of the bobbin 9 is tapped from the transmission shield 8 via cardan shafts 14 and transmitted to the next following bobbin on each carrier plate via chain or toothed belt drives 15, shown here only schematically.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, a total of twelve coil carriers are arranged on the rotor in an arrangement of four coil carriers in one plane of rotation. The stranding material running from each spool 10 is brought up to the outer circumference of the carrier tube 6 and deflected there within a rotating plane by rollers (not shown in more detail) and guided parallel to the supporting tube 6 through the bearing in the bearing block 3 to the stranding point 5.

As indicated schematically in FIG. 2, a sensor 16, for example in the form of a so-called pressure transducer, is arranged on the bearing of a coil carrier 9, by means of which the flying force exerted on the bearing by the coil carrier 9 with its coil 10 is detected when the rotor 1 is rotating. The measurement signal is picked up by means not shown here, for example a slip ring transmitter in the area of the bearing block 2, and an electronic evaluation unit 17 is connected, which in turn is connected to a speed control device 18 for the drive motor 4. The evaluation electronics 17 is set to a fixed centrifugal force setpoint, so that corresponding to a deviation between that measured by the transducer 16 Actual value and the specified target value, the speed of the drive motor can be changed to a specified extent. Since the coil weight decreases with increasing stranding travel, the speed of the drive motor 4 must be increased in accordance with the target value. Since the lay length for the stranded material should remain practically constant over the entire length, the pulling speed of the finished stranded material must accordingly be increased by a corresponding increase in the speed of the drive motor of the trigger, not shown here. The link to the drive motor of the take-off for the stranded material, which is not shown in any more detail, is indicated by the arrow 19 for the corresponding output signal on the evaluation electronics 17. Such an arrangement allows the speed to be increased continuously after a low initial speed of approximately 120 rpm at the start of the stranding journey and a take-off speed of approximately 68 m / min, so that finally the maximum speed of approximately 180 rpm permissible for the machine / min is reached. Overall, this results in an average take-off speed for the finished stranded material of approximately 85 m / min and a maximum take-off speed of approximately 100 m / min.

While the stranding basket according to the invention with the described regulation is exposed to a centrifugal force of only 65%, for the same production output without the proposed regulation, i.e. an operation with an essentially constant basket speed, a maximum centrifugal force load of 100% can be absorbed. This comparison of numbers alone shows that with the proposed control method, the drive power to be installed, the design effort for all bearings and for the basket brake can be considerably reduced.
