- the output functions of the receiver can only be triggered if the transmitter is at a relatively short (a few meters) distance from the receiver. This is especially true if there are any electromagnetic wave shielding parts between the transmitter and receiver. In this respect, there is a need to increase the range of the transceiver system.
- the transmission power cannot be increased arbitrarily, this being mainly due to the fact that the ferrite antennas that are often used cannot radiate sufficient power, and unwieldy rod antennas are reluctant to be used in such systems.
- This object is achieved in that a low-pass filter is provided behind the demodulator for the useful signal from the HF receiver circuit.
- the low-pass filter has at least two RC elements. This double filtering has a noticeable effect in terms of error reduction and the associated increase in range.
- the sensitivity of the receiver and the range dependent on it can be further increased if, according to a particular embodiment, the low-pass filter has an active amplification. This results in a particularly steep-sided low-pass characteristic. It is particularly advantageous if existing components of the receiver are used for the reinforcement, e.g. the input amplifier of the level conversion circuit.
