Description

Die Erfindung betrifft Monofilamente aus synthetischen Polymeren zur Herstellung von Siebdruckgeweben enthaltend Farbstoffe und UV-Absorber.
Zur Herstellung von Siebdruckschablonen wird auf das Gewebe eine fotosensible Schicht aufgebracht. Die grösste spektrale Empfindlichkeit von Kopierschichten liegt im Bereich zwischen 360 und 450 nm. Für die Schablonenherstellung wird ein Diapositiv auf die beschichtete Gewebeseite gelegt und belichtet. Bei der Belichtung mit einem UV-Strahler werden die belichteten Stellen gehärtet, während die unbelichteten mit Wasser ausgewaschen werden. Erfahrungen haben gezeigt, dass ungefärbte Gewebe das UV-Licht teilweise reflektieren. Dadurch wird das Licht gestreut und das Diapositiv unterstrahlt. Die Uebergänge zwischen belichteten und unbelichteten Stellen werden unscharf, was eine Verschlechterung der Kopie bewirkt.
Gelb, orange und rot gefärbte Gewebe neigen viel weniger zu Unterstrahlung, weil das langwellige UV-Licht fast vollständig absorbiert wird. Man hat die Erfahrung gemacht, dass nicht jedes gelb, orange oder rot eingefärbte Gewebe einen genügenden Schutz gegen Unterstrahlung aufweist.
Nach der US-A-4,749,611 sind Monofilamente aus Polyester und Polyamid zur Herstellung von Schablonen bekannt. Diese Filamente sind lichtdurchlässig und enthalten 0,5 bis 1 Gew. % eines UV-Absorbers und Farbpigmentes sowie 0,01 bis 0,1 Gew. % eines Titandioxidpigmentes. Der Remissionsgrad liegt im gesamten interessierenden Wellenlängenbereich des Spektrums über 10 %.
Die DE-B-27 08 789 beschreibt Farbmittel, welche sowohl aus anorganischen und organischen Pigmenten als auch aus löslichen Farbstoffen bestehen. Es werden sog. Masterbatchs für Spinnfärbungen eingesetzt, und zwar unter 200° C. Solche Farbkörpergranulate sind zur Herstellung von Monofilen für Siebdrucke wegen der ungenügenden Fadeneigenschaften nicht geeignet.
Die bekannten Monofile weisen jedoch für die anspruchsvollen Siebdruckschablonen immer noch zu hohe Remissionswerte auf, da sie bei der Reproduktionswiedergabe unscharfe Konturen hinterlassen. Auch die Herstellung der Monofile selbst ist offenbar durch einen zu hohen Anteil an Pigmenten schwierig, da insbesondere bei den feineren Titern untolerierbar viele Fadenbrüche auftreten.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, ein Monofilament für ein Siebdruckgewebe aus synthetischen Polymeren zur Verfügung zu stellen, welches einen Remissionsgrad von weniger als 10 % bei guter Transparenz mit möglichst wenig Pigmenten oder gar keinen aufweist.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss gelöst durch die merkmale gemäss Anspruch 1.
Ein polymerlöslicher Farbstoff hat den Vorteil, dass weniger Fibrillenbrüche beim Ausspinnen auftreten und eine bessere Fadenqualität resultiert. Ein pigmentfreies Monofil ergibt gestochen scharfe Konturen der Siebdruckschablonen. Es ist zweckmässig, dass die Monofile in der Masse 0,1 bis 2,0 Gew. %, insbesondere 0,3 bis 1,0 Gew. %, bevorzugt 0,25 bis 0,50 Gew. % eines polymerlöslichen Farbstoffes enthalten.
Als lösliche Farbstoffe haben sich Perinon- und Anthrachinonfarbstoffe als besonders geeignet erwiesen. Diese Farbstoffe müssen Schmelzpunkte über 200° C, insbesondere 300 ° - 420° aufweisen.
An polymerlöslichen UV-Absorbern haben sich bevorzugt solche als geeignet erwiesen, die Benzotriazol- und Benzophenon-Gruppen enthalten. Besonders geeignet ist beispielsweise 2-[2'-hydroxy-3',5'-bis(α,α-dimethylbenzyl)-phenyl]-benzotriazol.
Die niedrigen Remissionswerte des UV-Absorbers zwischen 300 und 350 nm sichern einen wirksamen UV-Schutz. In dem Bereich der langwelligen UV-Strahlung oberhalb 380 nm steigen die Remissionswerte des UV-Absorbers über 10 %, welche durch Kombination mit polymerlöslichen Farbstoffen zusätzlich unter 10 % herabgesetzt werden können.
Es ist auch zweckmässig, die Monofile aus Polyester oder Polyamid herzustellen, da beide wirtschaftlich einer Spinnfärbung mit in der Schmelze lösbaren Farbstoffen unterzogen werden können. Unter Polyester sind Polymere zu verstehen, welche mindestens 85 Gew. % an Polyethylenterephthalat-Einheiten enthalten. Unter Polyamiden sind bevorzugt Polyhexamethylenadipamid- und Caprolactam Polymere zu verstehen. Es ist auch möglich die erfindungsgemässen Monofilamente aus anderen thermoplastischen Polymeren wie beispielsweise Polypropylenen herzustellen.
Obwohl ohne Titandioxid die tiefsten Remissionswerte erzielt werden konnten, ist es zweckmässig, geringe Mengen, d.h. weniger als 0,3 Gew. % Titandioxid, insbesondere 0,005 - 0,01 Gew. % TiO2 zu verwenden.
Es ist zweckmässig, Monofilamente mit einem Durchmesser von 0,02 bis 0,10 mm, insbesondere 0,02 - 0,05 mm zu verwenden.
Es ist von Vorteil, Siebdruckgewebe mit einem Remissionsgrad von weniger als 10 %, insbesondere weniger als 5 % und bevorzugt weniger als 4 % im Wellenlängenbereich, zwischen 340 und 460 nm zu verwenden. Dadurch ist es gelungen, einen sehr guten Unterstrahlungsschutz neben guter Transparenz zu erreichen.
Die Erfindung soll anhand von Beispielen näher beschrieben werden.
Beispiel 1
Kurz vor dem Spinnextruder wurde zum Ti02-freien Polyester-Granulat mit einer intrinsischen Viskosität von 0,67 dl/g eine Mischung aus 0,45 % eines polymerlöslichen Gelb- und Rotfarbstoffes und 0,5 % des UV-Absorbers, 2-[2'-hydroxy-3',5'-bis(α,α-dimethyl-benzyl)-phenyl]-benzotriazol zudosiert und bei 290°C zum Monofilament versponnen. Das verstreckte orange Monofilament hat einen Durchmesser von 0,03 mm.
Beispiel 2
Das Monofilament (Tabellen-Beispiel Nr. 2) wurde aus Polyester mit 0,03 % Titandioxyd nach dem gleichen Verfahren wie im Beispiel 1 hergestellt.
Beispiel 3
Kurz vor dem Spinnextruder wurde zum TiO2 freien Polyester-Granulat eine Mischung aus 0,53 % eines polymerlöslichen Gelb- und Rotfarbstoffes und 0,5 % vom UV-Absorber, 2-[2'-hydroxy-3',5'-bis(a,a-dimethyl-benzyl)-phenyl]-benzotriazol zudosiert und bei 290°C zum Monofilament versponnen. Das verstreckte gelbe Monofilament hat einen Durchmesser von 0,03 mm.
Beispiel 4
Das Monofilament wurde aus Polyester mit 0,03 % Titandioxyd nach dem gleichen Verfahren wie im Beispiel 3 hergestellt.
Die Ergebnisse der Remissionsmessungen an den erfindungsgemässen Monofilamenten bzw. Geweben sind in der folgenden Tabelle zusammengefasst:

Die in den Beispielen 1 - 4 erwähnten farbigen Monofilamente wurden nach dem kontinuierlichen Dosierspinnfärbeverfahren hergestellt. Dank der Pulverform kann der UV-Absorber zusammen mit dem Farbstoffpulver direkt in das Substrat eingebracht werden.
Die Beispiele 5 und 6 sind Vergleichsbeispiele. Beispiel 5 ist wie Beispiel 1 hergestellt, jedoch ohne Farbstoff; Beispiel 6 enthält weder Farbstoff noch UV-Absorber.
Durch den kombinierten Einsatz von polymerlöslichen Farbstoffen und UV-Absorber auf Basis Benzotriazole und Benzophenone in Polyestergewebe ohne Titandioxyd lässt sich aufgrund extrem tiefer Remission und hoher Transparenz ein besonders wirksamer Unterstrahlungsschutz bei der Herstellung von Siebdruckgeweben erzielen.

Claims (5)

  1. Monofilamente aus synthetischen Polymeren zur Herstellung von Siebdruckgeweben, enthaltend Farb-Stolle und UV-Absorber, gekennzeichnet durch einen Remissionsgrad < 10 % im Wellenlängenbereich zwischen 340 und 460 nm., wobei
    die Monofilamente in der Masse 0,1 bis 2,0 Gew. % eines polymerlöslichen Farbstoffes und 0,1 bis 0,5 Gew. % eines UV-Absorbers enthalten.
  2. Monofilamente nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Farbstoffe einen Schmelzpunkt von 200° bis 420° C aufweisen.
  3. Monofilamente nach den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Monofilamente < 0,3 Gew. % Titandioxid enthalten.
  4. Monofilamente nach den Ansprüchen 1 - 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Durchmesser des Monofilaments 0.02 · 0.10 mm beträgt.
  5. Monofilamente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Monofilamente aus Polyester, Polyamid oder Polypropylen bestehen.
