Definitions
- the invention relates to insulating panels of the type comprising a layer of rigid cellular insulating material and a facing covering at least one face of this layer.
- Such panels are used as prefabricated elements for the building, in particular for the insulation of roofs.
- the cellular insulating material can be formed for example of mineral fibers, or of synthetic foam, in particular of expanded polystyrene.
- the facing is generally made of plaster and provides for the insulating panel a smooth underside ready to paint and substantially non-deformable.
- the object of the invention is to remedy this drawback, and to provide an insulating panel comprising juxtaposed facing plates and not requiring the production of joints between these plates on site.
- the insulating panel according to the invention further comprises connecting pieces housed and immobilized in recesses of the insulating layer adjacent to said face, each connecting piece being in contact with two adjacent plates in the plane of said face and being secured to these by fastening elements passing through their thickness.
- the housings are advantageously in the form of grooves extending transversely to the contiguous edges of the plates.
- the connecting pieces are preferably constituted by U-shaped profiles, the wings of which are in contact with the side walls of the grooves and the bottom of which is flush with said face of the insulating layer and receives the plates and fasteners.
- the invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a panel as defined above. According to this method, recesses are practiced in a layer of rigid cellular insulating material adjacent to one face thereof, connection pieces are introduced and immobilized in these recesses, juxtaposed facing plates are placed on said face. edge, each connecting piece receiving two adjacent plates which come into contact in the plane of said face, and the connecting pieces and the plates are secured by fixing elements passing through the latter.
- said face before the introduction of the connecting pieces, said face is coated with adhesive with penetration of the adhesive into the recesses.
- the metallic connecting piece 1, illustrated in FIG. 1, is in the form of a U-shaped profile comprising two wings 2 substantially planar and parallel, and a bottom 3 substantially planar and perpendicular to the wings.
- the insulating panel is made from a layer of expanded polystyrene which extends continuously over the entire length of the panel, which is several meters.
- Grooves 6 are formed in the layer 5, from a face 7 thereof, to accommodate connecting pieces similar to that shown in Figure 1. Each of these pieces is intended to connect together, so rigid, two plasterboards 8 juxtaposed edge to edge, on the face 7, in the longitudinal direction of the panel, several such plates can thus be aligned to make a facing over the entire length of the panel.
- the grooves 6 extend in the longitudinal direction of the panel. In the example shown, each of them has a length corresponding to that of a connecting piece 1. However, the grooves could extend over the entire length of the panel if the methods of shaping the insulation layer l demanded.
- connecting pieces intended to connect two same plates 8, and the corresponding grooves can be distributed over the width of the panel, in the particular example three connecting pieces for a width of panel d 'about 0.60 m.
- each groove 6 has a profile similar to that of the connecting pieces: it includes a middle portion 9 whose width and depth correspond to the width and thickness of the back 3 of a piece of connection, and two lateral portions 10 whose width and depth correspond to the thickness and the length of a wing 2.
- FIG. 2 also shows a layer of glue 11 deposited on the face 7 of the insulating layer and penetrating into the grooves 6.
- This glue is suitable for securing the insulating material on the one hand to the connecting pieces, on the other hand to the plates plaster. It is for example a glue of the polyurethane type.
- the connecting pieces are then introduced into the grooves 6 so that the external face of their back 3 is located in the plane of the face 7, then the plasterboards 8 are applied to the face 7 and on the back of the pieces of connection as shown in Figures 3 to 5.
- the plates 8 are rigidly connected to the connecting pieces 1 by screws 12 (FIGS. 3 and 5) which are screwed into the connecting pieces and sink into the portion of the layer of insulation located inside the profile of these.
- the heads of the screws are embedded in the plasterboard. For example, self-tapping screws with a trumpet head are used.
- joints are made between the adjacent edges of the latter so as to obtain an outer face 13 perfectly smooth. This operation is facilitated in the example shown by chamfers 14 formed, in a known manner, on the edges of the plates, defining channels which are lined with a coating 15.
- connection pieces After hardening of the adhesive 7, a complete joining of the plasterboards and of the connecting pieces to the insulating layer is obtained.
- the rigid connection between the plates produced by the connection pieces prevents any relative displacement of the edges of the plates and any deterioration of the joints during the handling and transport of the panels, both during and after the glue has hardened.
- the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown. It is possible, in particular, without departing from the scope of the invention, to modify the nature of the materials constituting the panel, the shape of the parts. of connection, their method of attachment to the plates, and the shape of the recesses intended to receive them. The latter could in particular have a uniform depth even for U-profile connecting pieces.

Description
- la figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une pièce de liaison destinée à un panneau isolant selon l'invention ;
- la figure 2 est une vue partielle en coupe de la couche isolante enduite de colle, au cours de la fabrication d'un panneau selon l'invention, prise en travers d'une rainure pour le logement de la pièce de liaison illustrée à la figure 1 ;
- la figure 3 est une vue partielle en coupe du panneau isolant terminé, selon la ligne III-III de la figure 4 ;
