Definitions
- the invention relates to a hollow drilling tool with a tubular carrier part, with a cutting body arranged at the front end thereof, and with a guide body that has a higher wear resistance than the carrier part, which corresponds at least along part of the circumference of the outer contour of the cutting body and in its axial extent is equal to or larger than that Cutting body is.
- Hollow boring tools are mainly used for drilling larger diameter bores.
- a hollow drilling tool is known for example from GB-PS 935 030.
- the ring-shaped cutting body is connected to the carrier part.
- the radial guidance of this hollow drilling tool takes place exclusively via the cutting body.
- the guide length becomes shorter. If the guide length is too small, an exact borehole geometry can no longer be guaranteed.
- a hollow drilling tool which has a kind of stabilizer after the cutting body, the stabilizer being clamped directly between the matrix of the cutting body and sleeves.
- the stabilizer is supported directly on the matrix of the cutting body by means of threaded rings in the form of two nuts.
- the offset design creates a very complex and complicated tool that also requires a coupling between the cutting body and the guide part that is not easy to manufacture. There is also a risk that the resulting pressure forces will loosen, deform or destroy the matrix.
- the invention has for its object to provide a hollow drilling tool that allows both a full utilization of the cutting body and adherence to a precise drill hole geometry, and is simple, economical and rational to manufacture.
- this is achieved in that the front end of the guide body is connected to the rear end of the cutting body and the rear end of the guide body is connected to the front end of the carrier part and the carrier part is connected to the guide body by welding or soldering and the guide elements to the cutting body is connected by sintering, soldering or welding
- the two functions "cutting” and “guiding” are separated from one another by the arrangement of a guide body. Since the outer contour of the guide body at least along one Part of the circumference corresponds to the outer contour of the cutting body, the guide body is guided in the bore previously made by the cutting bodies. Since the guide body has a higher wear resistance than the carrier part, premature wear of the guide body is prevented.
- the fact that the carrier part is connected to the guide body by soldering or welding and the guide body is connected to the cutting body by sintering, soldering or welding not only ensures simple and safe power support, but also economical and rational production.
- Guide elements arranged on the guide body are expediently designed as segments. Segments each extend over part of the circumference. If the circumferential extent of the segments is sufficiently small and the outside diameter of the hollow drilling tool is sufficiently large, the segments can also be designed as flat strips that extend in the axial direction.
- At least three guide elements which are distributed along the circumference and are designed as segments, are preferably provided.
- the central position of the hollow drilling tool in a hole is determined using three segments. However, more than three, for example four or six, segments can also be provided for a favorable distribution of the lateral forces.
- the guide elements which are designed as segments, are expediently arranged next to the cutting body in an extension against the feed direction.
- the cutting body is thus supported in the axial direction on the segments and these in turn on the carrier part.
- the segments and the cutting body can each be produced individually and then connected to one another, for example by soldering. Because the cutting body preferably consists of synthetic diamonds embedded in a metal matrix, the cutting body and the segments can also be pre-sintered individually and then sintered together to form a single body.
- the segments are expediently part of a guide body arranged between the carrier part and the cutting body.
- the guide body can thus be manufactured separately and then connected at one end to the carrier part and at the other end to the cutting body. This enables an additional rational and economical effect in the production.
- the guide body can, for example, be provided with grooves running in the axial direction, so that strips serving to guide the hollow drilling tool are produced between the individual grooves. Such grooves also serve for the good removal of the cooling water and the cuttings washed away with it.
- the guide body can also be pre-sintered and then connected to the cutting body.
- the guide body advantageously contains wear-resistant hard materials.
- hard materials are, for example, silicon carbide or the like. These hard materials can be sintered into a matrix material.
- the hollow drilling tool shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a tubular carrier part 1, a ring-shaped cutting body 2 and a likewise ring-shaped guide body 3.
- the carrier part 1 has a front end 1a and a rear end 1b. At the rear end 1b, the carrier part 1 is provided with a connecting piece 1c.
- the cutting body 2 also has a front end 2a and a rear end 2b.
- the cutting body 2 is also provided with two diametrically opposed slots 2c extending from the front end 2a. These slots 2c serve for the passage of the cooling water supplied through the carrier part 1 from the inside to the outside of the hollow drilling tool.
- the guide body 3 has a front end 3a and a rear end 3b.
- the front end 3a of the guide body 3 is connected to the rear end 2b of the cutting body 2.
- the guide body 3 is provided along its circumference with grooves 3c running in the axial direction. These grooves 3c serve to discharge the cooling water and the cuttings washed away with it. The webs remaining between the grooves 3c are used for guidance and are designed as guide elements 3d.
- the rear end 2b of the guide body 3 is connected to the front end 1a of the carrier part 1. This connection of the carrier part 1 to the guide body 3 can take place, for example, by welding or soldering.
- the connection between the cutting body 2 and the guide body 3 can also be made by welding or soldering. It is also possible to sinter the cutting body 2 and the guide body together.
- the axial extent 1 of the guide body 3 is a multiple of the axial extent s of the cutting body 2.
- the hollow drilling tool shown in FIG. 3 consists of a carrier part 11 and a cutting body 12 arranged at its front end 11a and a guide body 13.
- the guide body 13 is located between the carrier part 11 and the cutting bodies 12 and corresponds in cross section to the cutting body 12.
- the cutting body 12 and the guide body 13 can be connected to one another by sintering, soldering or welding.
- the guide body 13 is connected to the carrier part 11 by welding or soldering.
- the carrier part 11 and the guide body 13 are connected to one another only at the end. Due to the gaps between the guide body 13, the cooling water can circulate from the inside to the outside of the tubular support part 11.
- the axial extent t of the guide body 13 corresponds approximately to the axial extent s of the cutting body 12. This ensures that the guidance is sufficient until the cutting bodies 12 are completely worn out.

Description
- Fig. 1
- ein erfindungsgemässes Hohlbohrwerkzeug, perspektivisch;
- Fig. 2
- das Hohlbohrwerkzeug gemäss Fig. 1, teilweise im Schnitt dargestellt;
- Fig. 3
- einen Teil eines weiteren erfindungsgemässen Hohlbohrwerkzeuges in Ansicht;
