Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft die Verbesserung eines Schalters gemäss Hauptpatent P 38 10 091. Bei diesem Schalter werden über eine Kompressionseinrichtung stromschwache Lichtbögen beblasen, wobei bei stromstarken Lichtbögen ein Verschlussorgan (8) die Kompressionseinrichtung verschliesst und eine Selbstbeblasung über einen Gasspeicherraum (9) und eine Druckkammer (3) erfolgt.
Bei diesem Schalter steht nach der Unterbrechung eines stromstarken Lichtbogens heisses Gas geringer Dichte vor der Schaltstrecke. Dies ist für eine erneute Lichtbogenbeblasung von Nachteil.
Eine Bereitstellung kalten Löschgases wird auch in einer solchen Schalt­ situation dadurch bewirkt, dass ein Ventil bei der Einschaltung öffnet und dadurch eine Verbindung zwischen der Druckkammer (3) und dem Kompressions­ raum (11) schafft, wodurch frisches Löschgas aus der Schaltkammer in die Druckkammer (3) gesaugt wird und für eine erneute Lichtbogenbeblasung zur Verfügung steht.
