Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for smoothing a paper or cardboard web.
Such a method is known from European Patent Application No. 0 141 614 A2 known. The long smoothing zone is between a smooth jacket of a heated roller and a band partially wrapping around the jacket. Not yet calendered paper or cardboard web becomes more or less in terms of web thickness less dried or moistened and then with the web side of the higher one Moisture pressed against the jacket of the heated roller using the tape. The one The surface of the web is thus smoothed during the dwell time in the smoothing zone. On The desired smoothing process therefore only takes place on one side of the web. During the The smoothing process is the use of temperature and pressure in the smoothing zone confusing and difficult to control.
The aim of the invention is a method for smoothing a paper or cardboard web, at which is still a wet track, without having previously made an asymmetrical one To have to generate moisture profile with respect to the web thickness, as desired can be smoothed. The use of pressure and temperature during the Smoothing process must be clear and easy to regulate.
This goal is achieved by measures that are defined in claim 1 specified are achieved.
By applying measures that are specified in the subclaims the smoothing process is particularly clear and controllable as desired shape.
Because a relatively low pressure is used in the long smoothing zone via the support elements can be in places of higher basis weight of the paper or cardboard web Pressure peaks largely avoided and better product quality achieved. It can due to the relatively long smoothing zone and sufficiently long dwell time of the material in the smoothing zone and thus the desired smoothness values on both sides of the web higher web speeds can be achieved. Especially the application lower pressures and high temperatures of the contact surfaces with higher web moisture levels favor smoothing that is gentle on the volume of the web, what is wanted here.

Dies
The method for smoothing a moving in the web running direction (arrow)
Paper or cardboard web 1 takes place in at least one
The use of pressure, temperature, humidity and the length of the smoothing zone are in Depends on which smoothness on which material and which one Web speed should be reached.
A device which is shown schematically in various figures as an example
shown versions is used to carry out the invention
Procedure. The device has a
According to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, one
Instead of the
The pressure to be applied in the

Endless,
The bands are supported by mutually
unter der Wand 12 gelangen kann (Fig. 4).In the device according to FIG. 3, one
