Abstract

The invention relates to gutters which can be joined together for ground drainage. The object of permanently sealing the gutter sections (1, 2) to be joined together at the junction points is achieved by the fact that the front ends are prepared for the introduction of elastomeric sealing elements (5). The sealing element is preferably an elastically solidifying sealing compound (5), which is introduced into a groove. For better adhesion of the sealing compound, at least the contact surfaces (3, 4) of the sealing compound are dipped into or coated with an impregnating agent. Sealing compounds composed of two components can be accommodated in the front ends and caused to react at the moment of assembly. The elastomeric seals also withstand subsidence and displacement of the gutter sections. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to drainage channels for street, courtyard or building surface drainage. In the course of the demand for sealing all types of drainage objects against the ingress of liquids into the groundwater or the substructure, channels must also be included as part of this system. Channels of this type are currently either loosely plugged together or, if necessary, sealed with a grout, which, however, either only adheres briefly to the ends of the channels or is ground up by settlement and vibrations.

The object of ensuring a permanent tight connection of the channel joints is achieved according to the invention in that the front ends of the channel sections are prepared for the introduction of elastomeric sealing elements. If the channels are made of cement, steel or reactive resin concrete, then it is extremely advantageous if the ends are prepared for good adhesion of the permanently elastic joint sealing compound to be inserted after installation. This can be done, for example, by dipping the forehead into one solidifying impregnating agent or the like. It is also conceivable to introduce the joint sealing compound by pouring or injecting it into a groove provided on the end face of the channel sections. This groove can be half in one end.

A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention consists in using a joint sealing compound consisting of two components which react with one another. Here, the two components can be accommodated in the front ends so that they react with one another at the moment of assembly and fill the sealing groove.

Another possibility for the permanent sealing of the joints is to provide a groove running over the entire profile height and to insert a permanently elastic sealing strip into this groove, which is at least partially deformed and / or compressed during assembly. In particular, the sealing strip has a hollow profile or an angle profile, the leg lying in the longitudinal direction is compressed in the groove when being assembled.

In order to be able to maintain the deformation and thus the sealing force over the entire installation period, the channel sections are preferably rigidly locked or connected to one another. For this purpose, the channel sections at the upper end can have interacting elements for hooking or threading, which remain effective until full alignment and bring about the deformation or compression of the sealing strip during the alignment movement. At the bottom, the channel sections have elements for rigid connection or locking. Instead of this hook and bolt connection can also a screw flange connection can be provided, the permanently elastic deformation of the seal being brought about when it is braced.

Further details of the invention emerge from the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawings, which are described in detail below.

According to Fig. 1/2, the gutter sections 1, 2 to be assembled have a tongue and groove connection 3, 4 at the joints, whereby but a groove remains between the counter surfaces, which is filled with an elastically solidifying sealing compound 5 in the installed state. To fill the mass, a filling hole 6 (FIG. 2) is provided which runs through the steel frame 7 which is recessed at this point and serves as a support for the grate (not shown). The grate can be screwed to the frame (screw holes 8).

In order to give the sealing compound 5 better adhesion, the end faces of the gutter sections are soaked or coated with an impregnating compound before installation, which has a good affinity for the sealing compound. This also closes and smoothens the rough surface of concrete channels.

In the gutter design according to FIG. 3, there is no longer a filling opening, but only a groove 9 running over the entire gutter height, which is half in one of the two gutter sections 1 ', 2'. At the bottom of the channel, this groove is expanded on both sides in a chamber 10, 10 ', in which the two components of the sealing compound are located. The chambers 10, 10 'are closed by thin membranes which are pierced at the moment of assembly, so that the components can react with one another and fill the groove with foams. It is advisable to temporarily connect the channel sections 1 ', 2' here by means of tabs 11, 12, since the foaming sealing compound exerts a certain pressure. There is also the locking according to Fig. 7/8 in question for the connection of the gutter sections 1˝, 2˝, which consists of an upper hook / eye connection 13, 14 and a lower bolt catch 15, 16. The gutter sections are first hooked in at the top and then tilted down until they snap into place. In this way the gutter shots are at the moment when the Sealant reacts, already firmly connected.

The seals according to FIGS. 4 to 6 are elastic sealing profiles which seal by deformation in the corresponding profiled groove. The groove 17 in FIG. 4 is open towards the inside of the channel and has an omega profile, so that a sealing strip 18 with an egg-shaped hollow profile and an inner baseboard can be pressed in from the inside. The deformation of the hollow profile when inserting creates the sealing force. It is not necessary to pressurize the cavity. The groove 19 according to Fig. 5/6 has the shape of an irregular hexagon. The originally flat-rectangular sealing strip 20, the length of which exceeds the groove depth, deforms when the channel sections are pushed together by compression and completely fills the groove in the final state.

A variant of this last-described embodiment can consist in providing the profile of the sealing strip with a transverse web which lies between the gutter sections and limits the compression of the longitudinal web. At the same time, the crossbar, when it extends to the inside of the gutter, forms a clean, seamless transition between the two gutter sections.

Another possibility of connecting the gutter sections to one another is screw flanges that surround the front ends on the outside. Instead of the screw, a snap lock can be provided, which accelerates the assembly. The groove for the insertion of the elastomer seal lies in the flanges themselves.
