The invention relates to an aerosol container, on the opening of which a valve plate is tightly attached with a dispensing valve.
Es sind Aerosolbehälter dieser Gattung bekannt, die aus Metall, Glas oder Kunststoff hergestellt sindi Die Öffnung solcher Aerosolbehälter wird in der Regel mit einemAerosol containers of this type are known, which are made of metal, glass or plastic. The opening of such aerosol containers is usually done with a
Valve plate made of metal closed, in which a valve housing made of plastic is fastened, which in turn receives a valve cone made of metal or plastic, which is sealed off from the valve housing by a seal. In many cases the valve plug is held in its closed position by a metal spring. The use of different materials for different parts of the aerosol container is problematic for various reasons. These problems relate to the risk of corrosion of the metal as a function of the product to be filled into the aerosol container or to a change in the product filled into the aerosol container due to a chemical reaction with the metal. Further difficulties concern the possibility of the plastic parts or the seal swelling and the associated possibility of blockage or decommissioning of the valve. In addition, depending on the product contained in the aerosol container, there is the possibility of chemical decomposition of parts of the aerosol container, which can impair the safety of the aerosol container, its tightness, pressure resistance and the length of time it can be used. Finally, the use of different materials for different parts of an aerosol container also creates difficulties during assembly.
Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, die vorstehend genannten Nachteile dadurch zu vermeiden, daßThe invention is therefore based on the object of avoiding the disadvantages mentioned above in that

Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe dadurch, daß derThe invention solves this problem in that the
Aerosolbehälter aus Kunststoff besteht und daß derAerosol container made of plastic and that the
Valve plate and the housing of the dispensing valve are molded in one piece from plastic.
This ensures the quality of the filling material for the service life of the aerosol container. Apart from the easier assembly of such an aerosol container, this results in a high strength and tightness of the valve plate combined with the valve housing. The advantage remains that the valve housing can be used for different valve types.
The plastic cap according to claim 2 also contributes to easy assembly of the valve, the central passage opening of the plastic cap being adapted to the diameter of the stem of the valve cone to be used in each case.
In connection with the aerosol container according to the invention, it is also recommended that the valve cone is also made of plastic and is movably supported in the valve housing and is held in the closed position of the dispensing valve by an effective spring between the valve cone and the valve housing. The spring can be supported with its upper end at the lower end of the valve cone and with its lower end at the bottom of the valve housing. In the sense of the invention, it is again particularly advantageous if the spring consists of plastic. According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the spring with the valve cone can be molded in one piece from plastic and consist of at least two spring legs which protrude from the lower end of the valve cone and with their free ends on the inner wall which tapers conically towards the interior of the container of the valve housing is slidably supported. This further facilitates assembly, the spring struts also promoting the flow of the medium under pressure in the container to the dispensing valve.
The design of the aerosol container and the valve plate provided therefor enables particularly easy manufacture of both the aerosol container and the valve plate by the blowing process or by injection molding, and easy assembly and pressure-resistant design of these two parts.
The connection of the aerosol container to the valve plate and the valve housing to the plastic cap by welding enables a very tight, high-strength and, at the same time, fast connection of the parts mentioned to one another, a weld connection by ultrasonic welding being preferred.
The subclaims contain further advantageous refinements of the invention.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings of two exemplary embodiments. Show it:
Fig. 1 einen Aerosolbehälter aus Kunststoff mit einem aus Kunststoff bestehenden Ventilteller und einem damit einteiligen Abgabeventil in einem mittleren Längsschnitt undFig. 1 shows an aerosol container made of plastic with a valve plate made of plastic and a one-piece dispensing valve in a central longitudinal section and

zweiten Ausführungsform eines Abgabeventils.2 the aerosol container according to FIG. 1 with a second embodiment of a dispensing valve.
In Fig. 1 an aerosol container 1 is shown, which is made of plastic in the blowing process or in the injection molding process. On the opening 2 of this aerosol container 1, a valve plate 3 is tightly attached with a dispensing valve 4. The valve plate 3 and a housing 5 of the dispensing valve 4 are molded in one piece from plastic. A plastic cap 6 is tightly attached to the valve housing 5 and provided with a central passage opening 7 for the stem 8 of the valve cone 9. The valve cone. 9 also consists of plastic and is mounted in the valve housing 5 so as to be axially movable and is held in the closed position of the dispensing valve 4 by a spring 10 acting between the valve cone and the valve housing 5. The spring 10 is formed in one piece with the valve cone from plastic and consists of at least three spring struts, of which two spring struts 10a and 10b can be seen in FIG. 1. This spring legs projecting from the end of the untere.n "Valve 9 kegeis downward and with their free ends on the conically tapering towards the interior of the aerosol container 1 inner wall 12 of the valve housing 5 slidably supported ver¬.
Vorteilhaft wird die Schweißverbindung Sl durch Ultra¬ schallverschweißen hergestellt.1 and 2, the aerosol container 1 is provided with a cylindrical container neck 13 tapering in diameter. The container neck 13 extends coaxially to the main axis x of the aerosol container 1. The outer edge of the valve plate 3 runs parallel to the upper part of the inner wall 12 of the container neck 13 and then rises slightly to the valve housing 5 lying in the middle of the valve plate 3 and its outer end face 5a Support of the plastic cap 6. This configuration of the valve plate ensures high pressure resistance of the aerosol container. The tight connection between the outer edge 3a of the valve plate 3 and the opening edge la of the aerosol container 1 is established by welding at S. Likewise, the plastic cap 6 is fastened on the outer end face 5a of the valve housing 5 by a welded connection. The weld connection S1 is advantageously produced by ultrasonic welding.
The stem 8 of the valve cone 9 is provided with an axial blind hole 14. The axial blind hole 14 is provided in the region of its bottom with at least one radial connecting channel 19 (FIG. 2). This «connecting channel 19 is closed by the hole edge of an annular disc seal 15 in the closed position of the valve cone 9, so that the container contents are not released to the outside. In contrast, the connecting channel 19 between the blind hole 14 and the interior of the container is exposed in the open position of the valve cone 9 by the downward movement towards the interior of the container and by holding the valve cone in the lowered open position. The shaft 8 of the axially movable valve cone 9 is provided with an annular groove 16 in the region of the radial connecting channel 19. The hole edge of the flexible washer 15 engages in this annular groove 16 with radial prestress. The ring disc seal is preferably made of rubber. The outer edge of the washer seal 15 is tightly clamped on an inner annular shoulder 17 of the valve housing 5 by the plastic cap 6. As can be seen, the annular shoulder 17 is offset axially inwards relative to the outer end face of the valve housing 5 in such a way that a clamping of the outer edge of the annular disc seal 15 between the plastic cap and the annular shoulder 17 which ensures the necessary tightness is ensured.
The cross section of the annular groove 16 of the valve stem 8 is arcuate, preferably circular arc shaped. The inner support surface 20 of the arcuate annular groove 16 is dimensioned larger in diameter than the diameter of the valve stem 8. As a result, the support surface 20 presses the washer seal 15 against the underside of the plastic cap 6 in the region of its passage opening 7, so that a secure seal of the aerosol container 1 in the closed position to the outside is guaranteed.
The diameter of the valve stem 8 is up to 8a above the annular groove 16 larger than the diameter of the overlying longitudinal section 8b of the valve stem 8 at a height which is smaller than the axial stroke of the valve cone 9. As a result, the valve stem δ in the high-pressure filling process is pressed so far into the interior of the valve housing 5 that the upper longitudinal section 8b of the valve stem 8 with a smaller diameter lies opposite the opening edge 7 of the plastic cap 6 and thereby forms a larger free annular passage cross section for the filling material .
The inner edge of the annular shoulder 17 of the valve housing 5 supporting the annular disc seal 15 is provided with an upstanding sealing lip 18. This sealing lip 18 offers an additional guarantee for the firm and tight clamping of the outer edge of the ring disk seal 15 between the plastic cap 6 and the valve housing 5.
The lower end of the valve housing 5 is provided as a pipe socket 21 with an axial flow channel 22. A riser pipe 23 is attached to the pipe socket 21, the other end of which extends to the bottom of the aerosol container.
According to FIG. 2, a helical compression spring 11 is designed as a separate part, the upper end of which rests on the lower end face 24 of a valve cone 25 and with its lower end on the bottom 26 of the valve housing 5.
The spring 11 is preferably made of plastic. Otherwise, the aerosol container in FIG. 2 is designed corresponding to that in FIG. 1.
The described invention enables a wide variety of shapes for the plastic container, for the manufacture of which the blowing process is preferred to the injection molding process. Shape restrictions, if any, are only due to the manufacturing process and the associated costs. The containers can be made of both transparent material and opaque or colored material. A risk of corrosion is practically excluded when using plastic containers. The design of the aerosol container according to the invention makes it easy and economical to manufacture, and its impact resistance and low weight offer further advantages. Thermoplastic is preferably used for the production of the aerosol container, which is unbreakable due to its elastic properties. Polyamides, polyethylene, in particular polyethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate, are particularly suitable for the production of the aerosol containers, depending on whether the containers are to be produced by the blowing process or by the injection molding process. The containers made of plastic are characterized in particular by their resistance to corrosion, non-toxicity and high tensile strength, so that they are suitable for practically any filling material, even if the valve disk and the dispensing valve consist entirely of plastic. However, the type of plastic container should be considered when choosing and using perfumes or essential oils.
