Definitions

  • the invention relates to a household dishwasher according to the preamble of the first claim.
  • a water softening device consisting of a salt storage container and ion exchanger, regeneration water storage container and heat exchanger, a storage container connected in a heat-conducting manner, the ion exchanger, the salt storage container, the storage container, is a free one
  • the flow path and a level transmitter are combined in a water inlet container, the water inlet container having a tube which is in flow connection with the salt reservoir and in which a float is provided to indicate the lack of salt.
  • a filler opening of the salt storage container which can be closed by a lid, is guided through a side wall of the washing container and is accessible from the washing compartment of the washing container, the filling opening being inserted into a side wall of the washing container Frame is arranged and the lid is pivotally mounted in the region of the lower filling edge of the frame.
  • a chute receiving the regenerating agent for the salt storage container can be inserted into the lid and is held in the metering position in the lid when the lid is closed.
  • the salt deficiency indicator is not deleted immediately after the salt has been filled in by the user, since a longer time is required to dissolve the salt and thus to display the filling status of the salt storage container. This incorrect display leads to further unnecessary refilling of salt by the user.
  • the additional filling of salt leads to an overflow of the salt storage container and the overflowed brine is led into the drain via the washing container of the household dishwasher, which leads to an unnecessary salt load in the waste water.
  • the salt deficiency indicator cannot be functionally checked during manufacture.
  • Household dishwashers are also used in areas where the water hardness is so low that the operation of the water softening devices is not necessary and the user should not fill in salt.
  • the salt deficiency indicator In household dishwashers of the type mentioned at the outset, however, the salt deficiency indicator then constantly indicates a salt deficiency, which leads to the user being deceived.
  • the invention has for its object to design a household dishwasher of the type mentioned so that a false display in the aforementioned cases is avoided and a production control is possible.
  • adjusting means are arranged, via which the float can be adjusted by the user into a position indicating at least brine and is released in this position.
  • Preferred embodiments are set out below.
  • the cover moves the adjusting means when opening or closing and releases the adjusting means when closing.
  • the float remains in the position indicating at least salt brine until the salt poured into the salt reservoir is largely dissolved.
  • the float is expediently fixed by the filled salt in the position indicating at least the salt brine.
  • the actuating means for the forced movement of the float are an opening in the float, the lid and a rocker arranged in the area of the filler opening, the rocker being forcibly moved by closing the lid.
  • the rocker is rotatably mounted on the frame of the filling opening and is equipped with a switching lever protruding into the area of the cover and with a release lever protruding into the opening of the float.
  • the cover is expediently equipped with a switching bracket formed in one piece in the region of the rocker.
  • the switching bracket acts on the float during the closing movement of the cover via the rocker.
  • the switching bracket releases the rocker when the cover is completely closed.
  • the rocker which projects with its release lever into the opening of the float is rotated by closing the lid in such a way that the float is raised and when the lid is completely closed, the rocker is released again.
  • the float is permanently fixed with adjusting means in a position indicating at least brine.
  • the actuating means for permanently fixing the float are the breakthrough of the float, the rocker and a locking cam arranged on the frame of the filler opening, the rocker being permanently fixed by means of the locking cam.
  • the float acts on a display device that emits an optical or acoustic signal.
  • the display device can be arranged on an operating unit of the household dishwasher or in the area of the cover.
  • the float is provided with a triggering device which acts on a switching device which switches the display device directly or indirectly.
  • the triggering device of the float is a permanent magnet which switches a magnetically switchable switch which is arranged outside the salt container and serves as a switching device.
  • This magnetically switchable switch is attached to the water inlet tank in a height-adjustable manner.
  • the triggering device of the float is a switch cam which is arranged in one piece on the float and which acts on a lever of a microswitch serving as a switching device which projects into the filler neck of the salt container.
  • the magnetically switchable switch or the microswitch expediently interrupts the circuit to the display device in the position of the float which indicates at least brine.
  • the immediate switching of the display device is achieved according to a preferred embodiment of the invention in that the rocker is designed as a switching device and as a display device and that the rocker is equipped with a pointer serving as a display device, which in the at least brine-indicating position of the float through a breakthrough of the lid protrudes.
  • a cover and a bulkhead are preferably arranged in the water inlet container in the area of the rocker and the float.
  • This protective device prevents penetration of the poured salt in the protected area and thus malfunctions of the arrangement according to the invention.
  • the production control for the correct installation and the correct function of the parts necessary for the salt deficiency indicator can be easily done by opening and closing the lid. Since no salt is poured in during production control, the float is completely released by the rocker when the lid is fully closed and drops to the position leading to the salt deficiency indicator, so that when the lid is properly installed and functioning correctly, the arrangement to be tested is closed a display of brine and if the lid is completely closed, a salt deficiency indicator must be displayed.
  • the household dishwasher 1 has a washing container 4 which can be closed at the front by a door 2 and in which crockery baskets 5 are arranged.
