Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gewebe für den Einsatz in Papiermaschinen als Formiersieb sowie Basisge­ webe für beschichtete, undurchlässige Bänder und Mäntel für Breit-Nip-Pressen und für Formierwal­ zen-Überzüge.
Ein Gewebe dieser Art soll so ausgebildet werden, daß seine Querstabilität vergrößert, seine Fibril­ lierbeständigkeit auch bei hohen Flächen-Drücken, wie sie im Pressenspalt von Breit-Nip-Pressen auf­ treten, erhöht sowie seine Verschleißfestigkeit verbessert werden. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß wenigstens ein Teil der Längs- und/oder Querfäden des Gewebes aus einem Mischpolymer besteht, dessen Hauptbestandteile ein Polymer mit einem hohen Mo­ lekulargewicht, entsprechend einer Viskosität von mindestens 0,80, sind, wobei der Anteil des Co­ polymers im Mischpolymer 2 - 20 % beträgt.
