Definitions

  • the invention relates to a watercraft according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to improve the motor mounting kit in such a way that it is easy to transport and can be attached to the surfboard without changing it, but a stable and extremely roadworthy motor watercraft is produced in the process.
  • the solution to this problem results from the characterizing features of the main claim.
  • the motor mounting kit essentially consists of only two easily transportable units that can be attached to the surfboard easily and quickly, without special measures having to be taken on the surfboard itself. Nevertheless, the structure is extremely stable, and a motorized watercraft is created on which the driver resembles sits and steers on a motorcycle and that is extremely safe, especially due to the boom floats.
  • the ability to drive is such that the vehicle can be driven perfectly even on rivers, for example, without the driver needing many years of practice.
  • the watercraft shown consists essentially of three elements, namely a surfboard 10, a seat unit designated as a whole with 20 and a motor mirror unit designated as a whole with 30.
  • the surfboard 10 is a commercially available wind surfboard with a mast blind hole 11 and three through holes 12 for screwing on a fin.
  • the mast and fin are not shown in the drawing.
  • the seat unit 20 has a frame body 21 which, in a side view, has approximately the shape of a number "2" tilted to the left by 90 ° and whose front part 21a, as seen in the direction of the surfboard, represents a handlebar support column.
  • a seat board 22 is attached to the frame 21.
  • a fuel tank 24 is located on the frame body 21 attached, such that when a person sits on the seat board 22, the tank 24 is between their knees, similar to a motorcycle.
  • the seat unit 20 is further provided with cantilever arms 25 and 26 projecting on both sides, each cantilever arm 25, 26 consisting of two mutually braced tubes 25a, 25b and 26a, 26b.
  • the respective lower tubes 25a, 26a are pivotally attached in the lower area, the two upper tubes 25b, 26b at a distance above it in the upper area of the handlebar support column 21a; at their free outer ends, the tube pairs 25a, 25b and 26a, 26b converge, so that a triangular linkage results.
  • the handlebar support column 21a extends obliquely to the vertical, so that the triangular planes of the two extension arms 25 and 26 are inclined to the vertical.
  • Floats 27 and 28 are articulated on the two outer ends of the cantilever arms 25 and 26 in such a way that the floats can be pivoted to a limited extent about the vertical, parallel to the longitudinal axis of the surfboard (FIG. 2).
  • the entire seat unit with extension arm and floats can be anchored by means of a fastening element 29 in the mast hole 11 of the surfboard 10, which can be a screw, clamp, spread or bayonet connection.
  • the motor mirror unit 30 has a motor mirror 31, on the upper edge of which a commercially available outboard motor 32 is pivotably articulated with a drive screw 33.
  • a mounting shoe 33 projects from it essentially vertically, the mirror 31 and shoe 33 being braced against one another by a linkage 34.
  • a clamping lug 36 projecting essentially parallel to the fastening shoe 33, the shape of which roughly corresponds to that of a small fin.
  • the distance between the clamping lug 36 and the fastening shoe 33 is approximately equal to the thickness of the surfboard 10 or is slightly larger.
  • the shoe 33 is pushed from the rear onto the rear end of the surfboard 10 until its rear edge lies against the motor mirror 31. A certain clamping bracket of the unit 30 is then already achieved by the clamping lug 36.
  • the shoe 33 is now fastened to the top of the surfboard by means of fastening elements (not shown) which engage in the through holes 12; it can also be a screw, clamp, expansion or bayonet connection.
  • the two units 20 and 30 mounted on the surfboard are braced against one another by means of links 40 and 41, which have one end together on the top of the mounting shoe 33 of the unit 30 and the other ends on the extension arms 25 and 26 of the unit 20 are articulated, in the area of the outer ends of the same.
  • the linkage of the links 40, 41 is designed to be detachable at one or both ends, for example by means of a hook-in connection, or the links are divided by means of a detachable connecting element; it is only essential that the two units 20 and 30 can be separated from one another.
  • the handlebars 40, 41 together with the extension arms 25, 26 form a trapezoidal linkage (FIG. 2), which ensures excellent stability between the surfboard, seat unit and engine mirror unit.
  • control arm 23 and outboard motor 32 still has to be established, which is done by means of Bowden cables indicated at 15. More specifically, on the control arm 23 there is, as in a motorcycle, a throttle grip 23a which engages the throttle lever of the outboard motor via one of the Bowden cables 15 so that the engine speed can be controlled from the control arm 23, and there are also at a distance on the control arm Bowden cables, which act on the outboard motor in such a way that a rotary movement of the control arm results in a corresponding rotary movement of the outboard motor, if necessary with a predetermined ratio.
  • the detachable attachment of these Bowden cables can be done in different ways, but it has proven to be advantageous to cross the Bowden cables for control.
  • guide elements for guiding the Bowden cables 15 can also be provided on the seat unit 20.
  • guide elements for guiding the Bowden cables 15 can also be provided on the seat unit 20.
  • the watercraft described can be used as a conventional wind surfboard, with a sail mast and a fin being attached to the board 10.
  • the seat unit 20 and the motor mirror unit 30 are attached to the board 10 in the manner described, instead of the mast and fin, and the connections mentioned are established by the handlebars 40, 41 and the Bowden cables 15.
  • the transportation of the motor mounting kit presents no difficulties, because it essentially consists of only two parts, namely the seat unit 20, with the extension arms being folded onto the unit, and the motor mirror unit 30.
  • the links 40, 41 become, depending on Type of fastening, folded onto the unit 20 or the unit 30 or transported separately; the same applies accordingly to the Bowden cables 15.
  • the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown, but numerous modifications are possible compared to it without leaving the scope of the invention.
  • the fasteners for the two units 20 and 30 on the surfboard 10 can be adapted to the conditions of the surfboard, but this can be done easily, regardless of whether the surfboard is a blind hole or a rail for the mast, mounting holes for the fin, mounting holes or a rail for the fin or mounting holes for standing loops.
