Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski brake, as specified in the first part of claim 1.
  • Such a ski brake is shown in FR-A 2 430 244 in FIGS. 5-8 and described in context.
  • a multi-cranked wire brake bracket is articulated on the pedal, the legs of which support the two brake blades are pivoted upwards when the pedal is depressed.
  • This has the disadvantage that the brake vanes can strike protruding stones or branches during the journey, which leads to a hindrance to the journey.
  • the object of the invention is to eliminate this disadvantage and to create a ski brake in which the brake blades are pulled in against the vertical longitudinal center plane of the ski brake in a simple manner when the pedal is depressed.
  • the first solution specified in claim 3 has the advantage that the two brake mandrels are supported within the housing and that their guide surfaces are therefore protected against contamination.
  • each brake mandrel could be attached to this by soldering or welding.
  • This type of construction would have the disadvantage, however, that if the stop were damaged or worn, it would be difficult to remove it from the brake mandrel.
  • the stop if it should be worn, can be easily removed at any time and replaced by a new stop.
  • the measure of claim 5 has the advantage that the sleeve rests under prestress on the brake mandrel and therefore cannot wear out as easily as a sleeve that is placed on the brake mandrel with play.
  • the feature of claim 7 improves the abutment of the stop on the longitudinal side wall of the housing, so that point contact is avoided.
  • the second solution specified in claim 8 has the advantage that the stop can be designed in the form of a disk and is therefore easier to manufacture than the sleeve characterized in claim 4.
  • FIG. 1 is a section through the first embodiment in the braking position along the line I - I in Fig. 2 and Fig. 2 is an associated plan view. 3 and 4, analog representations of the ski brake in the driving position are shown, FIG. 3 being a section along the line III-III in FIG. 4.
  • FIG. 5 shows a detail of a variant of the ski brake according to FIG. 1.
  • a second embodiment of a ski brake is shown in plan view in FIG. 6.
  • the ski brake is designated 1 in its entirety. It has a housing 2 serving as a base plate, which is fastened to the top of the ski by means of screws, not shown. Of course, the housing 2 can be held down by a ski binding part, integrated into this, guided on a ski binding part or also glued to the top of the ski.
  • the width of the housing 2 corresponds at least approximately to the width of the ski, which is not shown in the drawing.
  • a pedal 3 is pivotally mounted on an axis 4.
  • two steel wire brake mandrels 5 are supported with their upper ends. These brake mandrels 5 are angled several times and have a section 5a with which they are mounted in the pedal 3, a section adjoining this 5b, a section 5c parallel to section 5a, which forms the pivot axis of the brake mandrel 5, and a section 5d, which carries a brake blade (not shown).
  • longitudinal slots 2a are cut out in the longitudinal side walls of the housing 2 and run parallel to the base of the housing 2.
  • the pedal 3 is under the influence of a leg spring 6, which is arranged on the axis 4 and which tends to pivot the pedal 3 upwards.
  • a bore 3a is cut out in the area of the free end of the pedal 3, which hole is in the area of its two ends is circular in plan view, but widened in a wedge shape towards the vertical longitudinal center plane of the housing 2 in its parallel plane to the underside of the pedal, so that a pivoting movement of the sections 5 a of the brake mandrels 5 is possible.
  • the two brake mandrels 5 are under the influence of a compression spring 7, which strives to push the brake mandrels outwards.
  • a sleeve 8 is placed on each brake mandrel 5, which slides on the inside of the associated side wall of the housing 2.
  • This sleeve 8 is provided with a slot 8 a, which extends over the entire length of the sleeve and is used to place the sleeve on the section 5 c of the brake mandrel 5.
  • a groove extends from one end of the sleeve 8 and is intended for receiving the section 5 b of the brake mandrel 5.
  • the end of the sleeve 8 opposite the groove is conically chamfered or cylindrically curved in order to facilitate the sliding of the sleeve 8 on the longitudinal side wall of the housing 2. In the area of the two longitudinal slots 2a, the two longitudinal side walls of the housing 2 are curved or angled in an arc.
  • the ski brake 1 In the braking position, the ski brake 1 assumes the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • the pedal 3 is erected under the influence of the leg spring 6, and the sections 5 c of the two brake mandrels 5 are located on the left ends of the longitudinal slots 2 a.
  • the longitudinal slots 2a are located in the arcuately curved or angled sections of the longitudinal side walls of the housing 2, in addition to the displacement of the brake mandrels 5 to the right and the rotation thereof by the sections 5c, there is also a pivoting of the sections 5d and thus the Brake mandrels to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the housing 2 instead, and the spring 7 is pressed together (see. Fig. 4).
  • the sections 5 a of the brake mandrels 5 also experience a pivoting in the bore 3 a by laying against the left boundary wall of this bore. The pivoted position of the sections 5 d of the brake mandrels 5 is thus achieved.
  • the groove 8 b has a width which corresponds to the diameter of the section 5 b of the brake mandrel 5.
  • the ski brake 1 shown in Fig. 6 ' is very similar to the first. It differs from this only in that instead of sleeves stops 10 in the form of disks on the sections 5 'c of the brake mandrels 5' are arranged, which stops on the outside of the side walls of the housing 2 'slide. Furthermore, a tension spring 11 is arranged between the two brake mandrels 5 'instead of a compression spring.
  • the invention is in no way tied to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing and described above. Rather, different modifications of the same are possible without leaving the scope of the invention.
  • the sections of the brake mandrels used for storage in the elongated holes do not have to be mounted directly in the longitudinal slots. Rather, they can also be stored in sliding blocks which are guided in corresponding guideways in the elongated holes in the side walls of the housing.
