Die Erfindung betrifft eine Grillplatte, die an ihrer Unterseite mit einer Heizvorrichtung versehen ist. Dies ist vom Standpunkt eines Kochs her unbefriedigend, da die plötzliche Temperaturabsenkung bspw. dazu führt, daß sich die Poren eines Fleischstückes an der Außenseite nicht genü­gend schnell schließen; dies kann dazu führen, daß das Fleischstück zäh wird. Theken bestehen, in welche die Grillplatte eingebaut werden soll. Eine Grillplatte mit einer Temperatur im Zentrum von bspw. 200 bis 250° C darf daher am Rand nur eine Temperatur von etwa höchstens 80° C im Betrieb aufweisen, da­mit keine Gefahr für das Thekenmaterial besteht.
